Oddly, we ate at Four Day Ray 5 times in the last two weeks. It was convenient for our clients and for us. Food and service were great each time.
Indiana tenderloin at its best! Awesome! I would recommend it to everyone.
This was our first time at this restaurant. It was a Saturday early evening. Even though they were busy, our waiter was attentive and very pleasant. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Good experience. Will return and try some other menu items
Knowledgeable, friendly staff and an inspired menu of food and beer in a fun atmosphere. House specialties such as the "baller" tots and the smoked-then-fried wings are delicious on their own or paired with a recommended beer.
I really want to give Four Day Ray a glowing review. Truly! If you're headed there with a small group, you'll likely have a great experience, despite the fact that the place is overflowing on weekends. Make sure you make a reservation! However, I had a party of 10 that wanted to book a table on Saturday night. First, I consulted Open Table and the app told me I had to call FDR for reservations 10 or larger. Ok, fine. I call the restaurant and am directed to use Open Table for reservations...well, I already tried that! So, the hostess consults the manager. I can tell she's young and unsure. When she returns to my call, she tells me that they don't take reservations and I'll just have to chance it. I make a reservation for 8 people anyway and hope it won't be a huge problem to add two people. Once we get to the restaurant - mind you, it's 8pm on a Saturday - we must wait 15 minutes for our table even though we had a reservation. Finally, we're escorted upstairs where there are MULTIPLE open tables. We ask our server about adding two chairs - he's fine with it. Finally, our service was okay. The server seemed overwhelmed by our table. And, promptly at 9:30 - he brought everyone their checks. No one had asked him for their check. He was basically kicking us out and telling us we had to move downstairs. Ok, fine. But why not say it? Overall it's a fun place but I'm terribly disappointed in the customer service. While some staff seems like they've been in the service biz for quite some time, it's clear that they're NOT trying to go out of their way for the customer. From our second table, we could also see the kitchen door opening and closing, and employees sitting on countertops and eating food in the kitchen area. I truly want to love this place but the execution is poor.
This was my second time. The tacos are so good especially the fish. I didn’t have the beer but people in my party enjoyed it. Will return.
Great food/beer variety.
Our server Joseph was Excellent. Thank you for the great service. Will definitely be back
Food and service was good but screaming kids near the bar became annoying
Live music was great and good excellent as well!
Way overpriced beverages. Won’t go again because of that. Food is good. Server tried to upsale everything and the drink costs are ridiculous. No thanks. I’ll go elsewhere next time.
Good drinks and good food! We loved the trio sampler appetizer. I got the white cheddar BQ burger! Yum!
Waiter was excellent. Kitchen didn't back up his efforts. Cold fries with 2 meals..they were replaced. Maybe it was just a bad night. Sides for tacos were weak..+$2 for less than 2 TBLS of guacamole.
Always a great option for a great beer and really good food.
Great service! Good beer and I don’t like many beers!
Did not enjoy our dinner. Nearly everything on the menu is fried, sandwiches drip with oil or sauces, hardly any (maybe none?) healthy options. Quite over-priced in our opinion for quality of food. Regretted the decision of eating there for family dinner.
So, these folks were great, made a reservation for 8 on OT, we had 25 souls(AAA hockey Team)....called them explained the issue, they called me back & set up a private room for us! In-house brews were great, food was delish, & outstanding service!!!
Pulled pork in the burger was very dry . It was like eating jerky . Was inedible. The beef cheeseburger was moist and tasty .
I had the fish tacos and have to say that they were not very good. Way too spicy and smelled very fishy.
Very friendly and attentive staff. My only complaint is the same I have for most newly constructed restaurants. They are all using unfinished tall ceilings and hard surfaces. These finishes make it hard for people with hearing problems to hear what is going on at the table. The restaurant is very attractive, the restaurant has a wide verity of menu options and some of the best wings in the city,
It took a very long time to receive our cold food. Received a puzzled look from the waiter when I told him our shareable french fry appetizer was served cold. Nothing like digging into room temperature fries and room temperature deep fried lobster tails. I think they are used to intoxicated patrons that will eat anything during a bar crawl. I won’t be coming back....
Could be such a nice place. I’m 0-2. First time undercooked (for my taste) (pink) wings. This time our dinner obviously sat under heat lamp for a considerable amount of time...dead tacos.
Friendly service and cool place otherwise. Needs some kitchen work.
Reserved a table for 8 on a Sat night but ended up having 2 more join us and they made it happen with no hesitation so that was great. First time there and the beer was real good and food selection was more unique than most. Will definitely be coming back. Great place.
Good food, good service, great beer. We will definitely be back.
Scott called me to get clarification on an open table request and accommodated my large party. Service was great!!!
Wait staff didn’t pay attention to customers. Simple requests were ignored. One person in our party requested a simple no onions in her salad. Not only did she get onions, but the waiter took every plate away except for the onions when we were done. Everyone at the table wanted more drinks, but after the food arrived the waiter did not approach the table for an hour and that was to bring the bill. The food was expensive and lack luster at best. Would not recommend unless you just pop in for a beer while waiting for a table somewhere else.
The food is always delicious and I definitely recommend FDR, but this is the 3rd time in a row that the service has been slow. It takes longer than it should between ordering and receiving the meal.
We stopped for lunch after a Sunday morning at Topgolf. It took us a while to be greeted by our server. It was not overly busy. She gave us an appetizer on her for our wait. Food was excellent but the kitchen was very slow. Took 50 minutes to arrive. Good thing they had good beer for our wait.
We'd still give them another shot.
Staff is not always the friendliest of all the times we’ve been here. They seem annoyed by requests. Food is good and perhaps they are just understaffed which causes the less than ideal service experience.
Great food! Great service! Love this place!
Wee had a group of 8 people and were seated upstairs. It took 45 minutes to get 1 drink and 1 1/12 hours to get our food - after we complained. During that time, our waiter didn't even check with us - at least another cocktail would have been nice for such a long wait but then the food came and it was all cold! There was a tenderloin sandwich that was mushy on the outside and the meat was cold cold cold. The French fries were cold, the wings were cold.....we didn't eat it!
Very pleasant evening. Staff was accommodating and waiter was excellent.
The sound level upstairs is significantly better than downstairs.
Great food, fun atmosphere, service was inattentive and slow
Second time to FDR, this time we ate! Enjoyed the food - just felt rushed throughout the meal. The server kept trying to drop off the check and then pick it up w/o the $ being in it.
Very busy night so he might have been trying to turn our 2 top. Would go back with others!
Great atmosphere Bad food Good beer. We had truffle fries that were cooked in oil used for fried zucchini or something. Awful. Charcuterie Board was mainly olives and almonds. Sandwiches average.
Nice restaurant, good food and service, incredibly noisy.
Good service, good beer, good food, fun atmosphere.
You can’t be in a hurry here. The service is pretty slow. The food was above average, but nothing special. This place is really loud, so don’t expect to be able to have a conversation with your friends. The Laplander Blonde beer was pretty good
We enjoyed our first family visit to Four Day Ray Brewing. On a Friday night, I am really glad we made reservations. Beer and menu items were large and both were delicious. We will be back.
