Did not enjoy our dinner. Nearly everything on the menu is fried, sandwiches drip with oil or sauces, hardly any (maybe none?) healthy options. Quite over-priced in our opinion for quality of food. Regretted the decision of eating there for family dinner.
So, these folks were great, made a reservation for 8 on OT, we had 25 souls(AAA hockey Team)....called them explained the issue, they called me back & set up a private room for us! In-house brews were great, food was delish, & outstanding service!!!
Pulled pork in the burger was very dry . It was like eating jerky . Was inedible. The beef cheeseburger was moist and tasty .
I had the fish tacos and have to say that they were not very good. Way too spicy and smelled very fishy.
Very friendly and attentive staff. My only complaint is the same I have for most newly constructed restaurants. They are all using unfinished tall ceilings and hard surfaces. These finishes make it hard for people with hearing problems to hear what is going on at the table. The restaurant is very attractive, the restaurant has a wide verity of menu options and some of the best wings in the city,
It took a very long time to receive our cold food. Received a puzzled look from the waiter when I told him our shareable french fry appetizer was served cold. Nothing like digging into room temperature fries and room temperature deep fried lobster tails. I think they are used to intoxicated patrons that will eat anything during a bar crawl. I won’t be coming back....
Could be such a nice place. I’m 0-2. First time undercooked (for my taste) (pink) wings. This time our dinner obviously sat under heat lamp for a considerable amount of time...dead tacos.
Friendly service and cool place otherwise. Needs some kitchen work.
Reserved a table for 8 on a Sat night but ended up having 2 more join us and they made it happen with no hesitation so that was great. First time there and the beer was real good and food selection was more unique than most. Will definitely be coming back. Great place.
Good food, good service, great beer. We will definitely be back.
Scott called me to get clarification on an open table request and accommodated my large party. Service was great!!!
Wait staff didn’t pay attention to customers. Simple requests were ignored. One person in our party requested a simple no onions in her salad. Not only did she get onions, but the waiter took every plate away except for the onions when we were done. Everyone at the table wanted more drinks, but after the food arrived the waiter did not approach the table for an hour and that was to bring the bill. The food was expensive and lack luster at best. Would not recommend unless you just pop in for a beer while waiting for a table somewhere else.
The food is always delicious and I definitely recommend FDR, but this is the 3rd time in a row that the service has been slow. It takes longer than it should between ordering and receiving the meal.
We stopped for lunch after a Sunday morning at Topgolf. It took us a while to be greeted by our server. It was not overly busy. She gave us an appetizer on her for our wait. Food was excellent but the kitchen was very slow. Took 50 minutes to arrive. Good thing they had good beer for our wait.
We'd still give them another shot.
Staff is not always the friendliest of all the times we’ve been here. They seem annoyed by requests. Food is good and perhaps they are just understaffed which causes the less than ideal service experience.
Great food! Great service! Love this place!
Wee had a group of 8 people and were seated upstairs. It took 45 minutes to get 1 drink and 1 1/12 hours to get our food - after we complained. During that time, our waiter didn't even check with us - at least another cocktail would have been nice for such a long wait but then the food came and it was all cold! There was a tenderloin sandwich that was mushy on the outside and the meat was cold cold cold. The French fries were cold, the wings were cold.....we didn't eat it!
Very pleasant evening. Staff was accommodating and waiter was excellent.
The sound level upstairs is significantly better than downstairs.
Great food, fun atmosphere, service was inattentive and slow
Second time to FDR, this time we ate! Enjoyed the food - just felt rushed throughout the meal. The server kept trying to drop off the check and then pick it up w/o the $ being in it.
Very busy night so he might have been trying to turn our 2 top. Would go back with others!
Great atmosphere Bad food Good beer. We had truffle fries that were cooked in oil used for fried zucchini or something. Awful. Charcuterie Board was mainly olives and almonds. Sandwiches average.
Nice restaurant, good food and service, incredibly noisy.
Good service, good beer, good food, fun atmosphere.
You can’t be in a hurry here. The service is pretty slow. The food was above average, but nothing special. This place is really loud, so don’t expect to be able to have a conversation with your friends. The Laplander Blonde beer was pretty good
We enjoyed our first family visit to Four Day Ray Brewing. On a Friday night, I am really glad we made reservations. Beer and menu items were large and both were delicious. We will be back.
Check-in was chaotic. Food (tenderloin) was awful. The place was so noisy that we could hardly hear ourselves.
My specific complaints with the tenderloin are that it was too thin and that the bun was super dry.
Food was decent but service was horrible. Waited 20 minutes until a drink menu was even brought to the table. For being a brewery, this is unacceptable. We would’ve had a much larger bar bill if service had been timely. After 2 hours with such slow service and only 1 drink we couldn’t handle it any longer and left for another establishment.
We had a great time eating here after our day at the Spark Fishers festival! We thought the service was really good, especially Gracie!
It was awesome!
We ate at FDR on Friday June 29. Hot, hot, hot night. But FDR is a really nice indoor space and offered an eascape from the heat. Very comfortable in the dining area and the bar. Beer is average at best. Food much the same. The street tacos were good. Rest of the menu looks like every other gastro pub wannabe in the northside burbs. Great location and ambiance but FDR needs to kick it up on quality of the food if it wants to be relevant. They have a few good beers but again better options are accessible locally.
They took our reservation at 11:30 for 11:45, then we arrive at 11:45 and they tell us the kitchen is closed. So we went somewhere else.
Overall good as usual. It was a bit warm inside and manager took care of it right away and opened one of the garage doors. The coconut lime blonde beer was tasty summer brew.
Good service - just a bit slow
We had a great night. The service was incredible and the food just as good. We will definitely be going back
My wife and I will definitely go back. We booked this meal through Open Table but got an email later that evening from Open Table that said it was not eligible for points. That is a little misleading if it was booked through the Open Table site.
Family Birthday dinner
Service was great!! Food was great!! Manager came around to greet guests at their tables. Enjoyable!! Will definitely return!!
Kid friendly; however, the kids food came 5 minutes after the adults and we had already waited almost an hour for our food. Service was friendly but very slow. Food was fine for bar food and the price.
Good food good beer good service with good friends worth the trip
