Menu is very impressive! All of the food tasted good, but both my mom and I had different versions of fried chicken that was all breading and almost no chicken. I understand that free range birds don’t have a lot of meat but this was ridiculous. There was almost no actual food to eat. Triple coating your chicken does not make up for the fact that there is no meat. Cocktails were delicious, string beans were crisp tender, my mom‘s brisket was delicious as well as the vinegar potato salad.
I hate giving bad reviews but this is the second time I’ve had a disappointing experience here. Food was mediocre for the price. We won’t be going back.
Overall, the restaurant itself and ambience is great. I ordered a Delmonico which was average. We also had the fried chicken with doughnut. That donut was incredible, the chicken was over breaded and dry. The portion was small.
Founding Farmer is one of my favorite restaurants in the KoP area. The food is always outstanding. Portions are good and the menu offerings are creative. I do find the interior to be a bit noisier than I would like, however, which does tend to interfere with my enjoyment of the meal, but I have hearing issues which make me particularly sensitive to noise. Others may be fine with the noise level.
It was very cold there. However the food was delicious.
As always - my favorite restaurant delivers with outstanding food and atmosphere! What a gem!
A bit pricey for breakfast although the food was good. The service was excellent.
Met a friend for breakfast -- we both opted for the chicken and waffles. It was an ample portion and quite tasty.
The only negative part of the experience was being in a very bright room where we had the choice of roasting form the sun coming in the window or dealing with intense sun glare.
My wife and we’re out with no kids. LOL. We often visit this restaurant in DC and the food is as good here as it is there. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
Overall it was great! The brunch was wonderful. The dessert plate was okay. Recommend ordering a dessert from the menu and not the sampler plate.
Love going for their brunch buffet on Sunday! The food selection is excellent, even as a pescatarian, and it all tastes great. Love their coffee!
Reservation was for table service. They switched it to buffet brunch when we got there. Buffet brunch was expensive. Some food items were fantastic like the bananas foster french toast and brisket. Some weren’t hot enough like the hash browns. The 2 egg dishes i had were runny for my taste. Covid surcharge was ridiculous. Overall my family had an enjoyable meal.
I was a little surprised that the buffett was self serve. The food was solid as always and our server was attentive.
This was my first time going for the breakfast buffet. The food was delicious and the service was excellent
The service was very poor this time around. Additionally there was no food on the buffet. For as much as it costs it was not worth it.
Didn’t love the pierogis but entrees were good. Good service post-pandemic lockdown.
We had a great anniversary dinner! The food and cocktails were fantastic and we really appreciated being able to make a reservation for outdoor seating. Highly recommend- especially the cheesecake for dessert!
Food was amazing but the service was even better. Best waiter we have had in a very long time, Chris is a rock star!
