The food is very well prepared, and a lot on the plate. Pasta was done perfectly. A bit too much gorgonzola on the steak and a bit too much broccoli with the marlin in comparison to the main but is 'too much' every really negative. Great place for a hearty good time!

Service is very slow and not very attentive but the food was very good and the ambiance was nice. We eat outside.

They were out of the gumbo that I wanted the first night we were there, I opted for their excellent fish burger and was very satisfied. The next night they had the gumbo and I was not disappointed. Very spicy and not overloaded with rice. If we weren’t heading on to Oahu soon I would be coming back!

Our kitchen takes pride in making that one nice and spicy with just the right rice ratio. The fish burger's a solid backup though! Service was meh - they sit you down and really encourage a drink from the drink menu and don’t give you a food menu- 10 minutes later waiter gives you the food menu. Waiter 6’5” caucasian dude that looks like a Dave- who does not want to be working. I ordered the pasta shrimp/sausage with a side of garlic bread- the bread tasted like a rubber flip flop- super gross not crispy at all. Was compensated with a cheesecake, Cheesecake was really good. Would not come here again. All wood chairs are wobbly which is annoying.

Our server, Nina, was lovely and did her very best to accommodate a sold out desert but a main dish was also sold out:( It was disappointing but the rest of the food was fine, just didn’t have the same feel as in the past.

We actually went there 3 nights. Loved it. One night was just for Happy Hour. This visit was our third time. Should we return to the Kona area, definitely would go back to this restaurant. This third time, our server failed to order my husband's dinner but we had so much food, that he & I shared my meal and we were good to go.

Excellent food and service. My wife had the fresh catch of the day and it was great. We were staying at the Waikaloa Beach Marriott and it was just a short walk across the street.

Great find! We loved our Thai chicken salad a lot. The stuffed chicken dish was also delicious! Ate outside on the patio and got lucky to hear an awesome guitar player on the next patio over which made it even better! Not bad prices for the quality of food. Highly recommend Foster’s!
