   We had Easter brunch at Forty One and it was a big letdown. Our reservation was at 1:45 pm, but by 2:15 pm we were told the buffet was closing. We barely had time to settle down and had to rush through the entire meal. We should have been advised of the buffet closing time when we booked, or simply not allowed to reserve that late. The ambiance was just as disappointing. There were some chocolate eggs and decorations at the dessert table, but don’t make up for the lack of festive atmosphere. For the price we paid, it was absolutely not worth it. We didn’t enjoy the experience and won’t be coming back.

   Lors de notre réservation, nous avions expressément demandé une table située près d’une fenêtre, dans un secteur calme du restaurant. Malheureusement, cette demande n’a manifestement pas été prise en compte. Nous avons constaté que l’aménagement de la salle, en l'occasion de la fête de Pâques, ne permettait ni intimité ni confort. Les tables étaient disposées de manière excessivement rapprochée, rendant les déplacements difficiles, notamment pour accéder au buffet. Cette configuration aurait d’ailleurs posé un problème majeur si l’un des membres de notre groupe avait eu des besoins en matière d’accessibilité. De surcroît, l’agencement rendait le service ardu pour votre personnel – qui demeurait toutefois très courtois – et la proximité entre les convives nuisait à la qualité de l’expérience, tant sur le plan sonore que visuel. Cela dit, nous tenons à souligner que les plats proposés étaient savoureux et bien présentés. Nous avons sincèrement apprécié la qualité culinaire de l’offre. Cela étant dit, le tarif de 70 $ par personne, pour un service de type buffet, ne nous a malheureusement pas semblé refléter de manière équitable l’expérience globale, en particulier en ce qui a trait au confort et à l’ambiance. Nous partageons ces observations dans un esprit constructif, dans l’espoir qu’elles puissent contribuer à bonifier l’expérience future de votre clientèle.

   Went for the Easter brunch last weekend. The server had no idea how to serve and was not attentive to his clients. The food choices were mediocre at best. Nothing special to underline Easter, except some chocolate eggs.

   I booked this restaurant for my husband‘s birthday. I had been very excited to go and it was outstanding, beautiful interior. The setting was just lovely. Very posh did not feel like I was in a hotel in Kanata. The food was amazing. Server was really amazing and it was a great time just beautiful everything about. It was perfect. Highly highly recommend this spot a jam tucked away Where you’d least expect it.

   We found 41 to be a very tulypical hotel restaurant. Food was avrege cocktail list was lacking in variety. Service was no responsive not attentive and got our order messed up from wine to whom orders what and there was only two of us.

   Been several times now before an event at the NAC, so close to the venue. Menu has many great options to choose from, and this past visit, the server recommended a change in a menu item so that our dairy-free needs could be met. Quiet environment, nice change from very loud restaurants where you can't hear your fellow diners over the music and the crowd. We find it abit expensive, but we tell ourselves it's a treat, it is the Lord Elgin restaurant. On that note, i find the online reservations system weird - telling me only two options were available for reservations, yet when i called directly i was able to get a time/table that i wanted. And once there, we saw many empty tables, not reserved so perhaps the Hotel keeps some tables unreservable so that hotel guests have priority access. We will go back again before or after attending events at the NAC.

    Avery pleasant dinner, good food. Especially nice crème caramel to finish. Wine was okay, nothing special. Will return soon!
