We love this place! Food, service, ambience, all wonderful albeit more expensive than most. We don’t mind paying more for quality but they’re very stingy on their pours. At $18-20 for a glass of wine, we’d like to see the wine glass filled halfway up, instead of the first third. We all know they make money on the alcohol so be a little generous with your patrons and serve a half filled glass of wine.

Great restaurant, service, food, drinks and a happening crowd. However, there are seats right next to the waiter station where they constantly crash plates. If we want to be an upscale fine dining experience, let's spare the customers the up-close and noisy busboy experience 2 feet away and on top of the tables.

The restaurant itself is beautifully cozy and the dimly-lit ambience was perfect for a date night. The one down side is that you are seated very close to the other tables which took away from the mood and being able to have private conversations. The food was unbelievable! We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered - wagyu gyoza, wagyu tartare, potato mille fuille, A5 wagyu pairing and ube cheesecake. The service provided was also stellar. The waiter was always checking on us, refilling our wine and other staff members made sure to keep the tables clean. It will not be a cheap meal, but the food will be memorable!

Food was amazing especially the ribeye!We sat outside very pleasant but inside noise level a bit high.This is our second time we will be back.

Fortu is a very nice restaurant. The place is smaller than I thought it would be. the tables were pretty close together. The atmosphere was nice and semi-quiet. With it being small, talk from other tables could be heard. No big deal. The menu is more of a tapas or sharing plates, then getting an entree with sides. Again, no big deal. The service was outstanding! Andrea was great! The food was very good. Overall, the restaurant is worth checking out. The food was very good. It is pan Asian, so a little different. My wife & I went and checked it out.

Fortu has a unique menu with diverse flavors in their dishes. The cocktails are unlike anything else in the area and the sake list that is unmatched. Definitely give them a try if you want amazing Asian flavors, creative drinks and the best service is downtown St. Pete.
