Just horrible service overall. I left early. Food Sucked
Great food! It was a Friday night so it was incredibly loud inside. But service was excellent. We will be back!
Exceptionally busy Friday night that was handled professionally by the staff. Food was fabulous. Drinks came quickly after requesting them and water glasses were never empty. We are always pleased with our dinners at Boise Fork. Highly recommend.
We love the food at Fork, but it always so noisy in there you can barely hear yourself think. If you want to have a confidential conversation, Fork is ideal because the noise level is so high you can't hear anything being said at adjoining tables.
It was a wonderful spot for lunch. Local food supplier and amazingly fresh wonderful food. Wine was great and a casual atmosphere.
Great food and outstanding service! Interior design is excellent and nice outdoor seating on the front patio. Very pleased with our experience!
Good menu but the service made the evening for us and our guests.
Delicious food. Appropriately attentive server with great timing. Only mar was from two black flies inside that we just couldn't shoo away.
Great food eaten on the sidewalk patio. Nice service. I would definitely recommend to friends.
Service was rude and inattentive. Our server never smiled once and never served us coffee in spite of asking several times. She appeared offended when we
Asked that our poached eggs , which were instead hard boiled eggs, be replaced. Food was cold when brought to the

My dear friend and I, like to celebrate our birthdays here and tonight was our 5th year doing this! We ordered asparagus fries as an appetizer. Yum! For my entree, I ordered a side salad and their yummy tomato basil soup. So good! She ordered the ravioli (our favorite dish)but towards the last few bites she began to notice it was extremely salty! It must have been extremely because she loves salt and she couldn't finish her plate! She wanted to mention it to our waitress that she enjoyed most of her dish and she only had a few bites left but wanted her to be aware for others. The waitress was extremely nice and comped my friend the dish!! We didnt expect that! I would've gladly paid but that was extremely kind and unexpected! Thank you Fork! I'm sure we'll be back on my birthday if not before!
The menu is so-so. It is also so loud in the restaurant, it is impossible to hear the person next to you, let alone across the table.
We had a business dinner there for nine people. It was really loud and pretty impossible to stay engaged in conversation. But nine people is a lot.
Enjoyed the food & atmosphere
Delicious food, clean, quick and comfortable seating.
Needed more shade for patio. Waitress was unfriendly.
Amazing Prime Rib! Excellent wine pairings and a great waitstaff.
Great dining experience. I had the trout and my wife the ravioli. Both excellent. Great atmosphere and service.
Everything excellent for our anniversary dinner with family except very noisy and difficult to hear conversations.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The server was pleasant and knowledgable about the menu. It was a little louder than we would have liked. Too loud for a conversation of more than 4 people. Two of us ordered the Moroccan chicken. It was not what I expected. I thought it would have a sauce or perhaps be boneless. It was a half roasted chicken with barely enough spice to say it was Moroccan. No bad, just unremarkable. My husband had the trouted enjoyed it. Our other friend had the pasta and said it was pretty good. Price was reasonable.
We enjoyed our 2 dinners this week at Fork in Downtown Boise. The food was consistently great. The atmosphere is very nice and feels like an authentic updated historic building near the Capitol Building.
One comment, Fork has a nice wine list but I find it overpriced- so I end up getting a (relatively) inexpensive cab. Where I normally am willing to pay $100- $150/ bottle, there has to be a decent value proposition to make that expenditure.
Fork never disappoints. Friendly staff and great food. The B.C.S. salad is my favorite!
Excellent food and cocktails. The BAM Sammy had the best bacon I’ve had in my life!
Mike’s service was excellent. The food was average overall, a bit of a disappointment. Asparagus fries were excellent, the queso with chorizo should’ve been full of flavor but was a bit bland. Wife’s steak sandwich was average, toasted bread was overdone. I had the fried chicken and waffle and, again, should’ve been full of flavor given the description but lacked even with yummy sides like balsamic infused maple syrup and honey orange butter. Warm butter cake was excellent.
We really enjoyed the Fork restaurant! The service was great, the atmosphere was fun and the food was really great. We'll definitely go there again!
Loved the food so much we went back 3 nights in a row. Good service, too.
Our server Sebastian was very skilled. The food was excellent and arrived in a timely manner. We weren't super into the decor, but it was great otherwise.
The entree was terrific. As a first time visitor to Boise, we found this place online. We loved the ribs and the Mediterranean chicken. The restaurant had a vibrant cosmopolitan feel. The only odd thing was that the meal included no vegetables and no bread and strangely snd vegetables sides were suggested. Would have liked salad and bread but didn’t notice they weren’t included when we placed our order.
Delicious food. Creative dishes. Amazing service. I would definitely go here again and recommend this place to my friends.
Fun restaurant with local fresh ingredients. I had the chicken entree it was good, with a very generous portion. With its description I was expecting some more aggressive seasoning, I was happy with my dish but wouldn't order it again. Wife had the trout and had almost the same experience, just a little acidity would have really brought it to life. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer and were likely the best onion rings/dipping sauce I have ever had. The sandwiches delivered to other tables looked incredible and I wish I would have ordered those instead.
Fork is one of my go-tos, especially when I have a new visitor in town. Ordered the grilled tri-tip salad, thinking the that tri tip would actually be warm, but it was not. That was a disappointment, but the salad was still very good...once I got over the cold meat. ;)
I really wanted to like FORK. I read the reviews online and it seemed like a pretty safe bet for dinner. My wife and I were in Boise for the week for an education conference at Boise State. I talked with several locals and most of them recommended FORK. However, one person (who gave the best recommendations of the week) said that we should avoid it because it was either hit or miss. I really wished that I had listened to that advice. The pre-dinner cocktails were subpar and really lacked sophistication in their make up. We started with an order of the asparagus fries which were addictive and tasty. It pretty much went downhill from there. My wife ordered the halibut which seemed like it was leftover from the night before and had been warmed up in the microwave. The succotash was all that managed to save this dish. I ordered the urban burger with bacon. The fries were cold and not entirely cooked. They were mushy, and I immediately sent them back. The second round was a bit better but not what I would expect from Idaho. I ordered the burger medium but it was incredibly dry and not at all what I was hoping for. The bacon appeared to be only partially cooked. This should be a really great restaurant, and it probably once was. I feel like they are in need of a total reset. If you have to go here, then go for the asparagus fries and then leave.
So noisy. 2 of us 80+ yrs old
Required shouting or not talking. Very tiring. Love, love, loved the food and service.
Never lets us down! Food is great - drinks are great
I like to have business lunches at the Fork. The food and service are always excellent. It is a busy place with a fun atmosphere but not too noisy to visit. You can tell that this is a well managed restaurant.
The whole experience was great. We were taken care of so well and the food was really fast!
We told them it was my birthday ahead of time, but no one acknowledged it at the restaurant. Fiancé was hoping a little something would happen for me. Also, server took 20 minutes after we were done eating to bring us the tab and offer us dessert.
Meal was superb as was the food. In fact we kind of wish that the food wouldn't have been so good---we'd have recovered from our "food coma" sooner!
Dessert was spectacular! Had the brownie with ice cream; rather simple and plain sounding, right?! It would be a foolish for you to pass it by though based simply on it's simple name because they should issue a guarantee that it'll fix any sweet tooth craving you have. The wife had the salted, caramel bread pudding. Since she didn't say a word after they'd served her, it's a safe assumption that she really enjoyed it!
