Excellent food and cocktails, cool atmosphere. The prime rib special is absolutely worth it alone.
The food was slow coming but everything was delicious.
Food and drinks are amazing! Very loud but so fun!
We all got sick from the fried asparagus. In addition, we had friends dining that night as well and they experienced the same thing from the fried asparagus.
My second trip to Boise and my second visit to Fork! I will be in again when visiting my boys! Love it!
Try the butter cake for dessert, yum!
The special of the night included a side of coleslaw which one of our dinners does not like so we asked to substitute a side that they were serving with multiple other entrees, mashed potatoes. The server indicated there may be an up-charge we said ok to. She didn’t confirm the up charge or amount; when we got our bill which was over $100 for 3 people and one only had a salad we were shocked to see a $3 charge for the substitution. I realize restaurants charge extra for some substitutions however some are comparable and I think $3 for coleslaw vs potatoes is ridiculous! And the fact our bill was over $100 with 3 glasses of wine 2 entrees(one was $16) and a salad. We frequent fork but I have to say this was a big turn off. Lots of other choices in Boise
I took my fiance here for his birthday. We were very impressed with the overall experience. The food was great. I have never been more please with my choice in restaurant.
Fork lovers but feeling a decline in what comes out of the kitchen. Grilled artichoke appetizer---under cooked/tough. 2 of 3 beef entrees-over cooked (vs order temps). Wines were lovely and our server was awesome, but kitchen: you can do better!
We went to Fork for my birthday. Our server was very nice and she was attentive. We waited for a solid 50 minutes before being served our food. It was disappointing to wait for so long. Unfortunately, our server recommended the prime rib, which I was very excited about. As luck would have it, after we waited for 30 minutes for our entrees, she informed us that the last prime rib meal had already been sold. I opted for a steak salad, waited another 20 min, assuming that the meat would be warm. Unfortunately, it was cold (which I learned was how the dish is served). It was unseasoned and quite bland. I opted to switch from the cold meat salad to a fried chicken salad, which was fine, but nothing spectacular. The dried corn was strange. Way too many onions. I had onion breath for a couple days. Our kind server gave us a free dessert, which we appreciated and enjoyed. We dined outside and it was a busy, loud Friday night, with lots of people enjoying the downtown Boise vibe. Our table next to us was pretty rowdy and I was relieved when they finally left. Based on our experience, we've found a couple of other restaurants that we'll try out for special occasions.
Creative, local, delicious food, can be loud but still fun.
Good food and service!
I love the ravioli and have ordered it on many occasions. Tonight I think someone went a little overboard with the sauce because it was pretty oily but it wasn't that bad. I still managed to finish my plate! 😋
I was happy to finally be in town on a Tuesday so that I could try the chicken and waffles that I kept reading about. My reservation was at 5:00 and I had a choice to dine on their cute patio area or inside. I usually prefer to dine outside, but opted to be seated inside in a large, comfortable booth. The restaurant is a good size and at the time of my reservation, there were only a few tables occupied, however, by the time I left at 7:30, it was packed.
I noticed plate after plate containing chicken and waffles, so like me, everyone else was there for the special.
Bekka was my waitress and she was great. I placed my order and within 5 minutes, I had a plate of 1/2 a chicken on top of a waffle in front of me. No way that waffle was fresh and as expected, as soon as I put butter on it, it just sat there and the chicken was lukewarm. Bekka was gracious enough to bring me a fresh order, however, it was the same chicken which was no longer lukewarm and a new waffle (still not fresh) placed on a hot plate. Ok, I get you're expecting to have tons of orders of c&w, but I prefer mine fresh and I could certainly do without the ridiculous piece of chicken. Total waste.
Their menu looks good and I will definitely come back and try something else.
Got together with old friends.
Loved the food, wine, beer, service, and ambience. We were visiting Boise and found Fork on Yelp. It was amazing.
Service was great. Food was great. The prime rib was worth the wait. I would have liked an option for more powerful horseradish with the prime rib. There could have been another option, but I didn’t ask. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The hostess was busy seating someone else when we came in, but what looked like a manger greeted us and got us out table right away. My wife and I prefer staff that checks in but isn’t overwhelming, so that wae can have good conversation. Our waitress was perfect for what we like.
The table next to us were way too loud... Our waiter was fabulous. I would like to see ala cart Eggs, potatoes and toast... Mimosa was delicious.
The food was outstanding. My date and I both left feeling stuffed because we couldn't say no to any of it. I had the strip steak and she had the Cubano sandwich and we would both recommend them. She is Gluten free and said the gf bread they used was better than anything she's had before. The environment was clean and the atmosphere was fun and we enjoyed the general buzz of Boise at night.
First time at Fork...certainly won't be the last! Great food, great service, great ambiance, great location!
Do NOT miss FORK when you are in Boise....
What a wonderful evening we had at FORK in Downtown Boise. The service is great. Our table wasn't ready at our reservation time so at my request they re-seated us at a great table in the bar. Our server was terrific and everything we ordered was amazing. Do not miss the asparagus fries. We had the trout which was fantastic. On our next trip we are hoping to have room for the butter cake everyone raves about.
Good food and great service in a convivial atmosphere!
I discovered Fork on my first visit to Boise many years ago and I always dine here when I am visiting my grandson. We dined on a Tuesday night when the special is Chicken & Cheddar Waffle - this is only served on on Tuesday night - so delicious. My grandson had the short ribs with asparagus and he chose to drink a IPA beer. I saw a post on Instagram the restaurant was offering specials on wines since it was Idaho Wine Month. I tried a Split Rail blend and was not disappointed. For dessert we chose the Butter Cake. Fork is a must try when visiting Boise or for locals living in the area.
We were able to eat outside - and the patio is so nice - and not as loud as inside. Food was great - and service excellent.
Had a great lunch. Great atmosphere but I hate trying to park downtown. We found a close spot this time. Overall experience was good. Thank you!
We went to Fork based on reviews and were pleased at the ability to reserve a table online. We were even more pleased at having reservations when we saw how full the restaurant was. We had a very nice appetizer and salad that we shared and both enjoyed our entrees (trout and NY strip steak). Initially, I ordered a wine that both my husband and I ended up not liking, but the waiter brought us a different wine no questions asked. All in all, a good evening!
Don't leave Fork without trying the Butter Cake--to die for!!!
Super good burgers!!! Amazing with the white cheddar.
Fork is one of our favorite restaurants in Boise. Located in the heart of downtown, the environment is casual and fun. Each dish brings out tasty flavors and leaves you wanting to come back and try other meals. (Don't forget to save room for their Butter Cake.) The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. It's an all around fantastic dining experience.
Fabulous! Great, vibrant atmosphere! I would take anyone here knowing that the service, food and atmosphere will not disappoint!
Everything was fantastic, delicious food, great ambiance!!
I visit fork for a meal and cocktails every time I travel to Boise. The food is amazing and the service levels from the hostess to the bartender to the wait staff is exceptional. The vanilla bean old fashion is a must (maybe 2).
Food is off the charts amazing EVERY TIME!
Wonderful New find in Boise. Food is outstanding and staff are exemplary. Especially loved our waitress Bkka and Shawn the Manager. Such friendly people.
This was by far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. I ordered an eight ounce Filet Mignon and it was magically delicious.
If you have a few hours to stay then this is the place for you. We were disappointed with the food selection. I ordered the Voodoo chicken and it came with mashed potatoes. No salad or veggie. It took 45 min for our order to be taken. And another 20 for the food to come. Overall we were disappointed.
We had a great meal with excellent service. Our table was ready right when we got there. We will definitely go back.
Lots of traffic. They held our table for us. Very friendly
Dining at Fork is a must for me any time in Boise. I have yet to be disappointed in any way. It is the quintessential epicurean experience for anyone who enjoys using all 5 senses at meal time.
The food is excellent. Really appreciate the use of high quality, fresh ingredients; you can taste the difference :)
