Fork & Plough
This concept supports the idea that farmers and chefs can make a living supplying a community with its daily necessities, while also encouraging enjoyment of a simple meal of a sandwich or steak, chop, or bake.
Just imagine: Wednesdays become your favorite lunch day of fresh and locally-sourced soups and salads with a friend. Then you get a favorite bottle of wine to bring home, coupled with carefully chosen side dishes and the best burgers and fresh Carolina seafood in Greenville to throw on the grill. A Local Gem! I would have given this restaurant 5 stars except it is noisy when the place fills up. Other than that - everything was excellent! All their food is farm to table and as local as possible. The upscale menu is changed daily to reflect what is fresh that day. The menu is "fit for foodies." There is one item that needs special mention - their mozzarella cheese is the best that I have had outside of Italy where is made fresh daily on premises. The prices were reasonable given what was offered - Most entrees ranged in price from $20 to $30. Appetizers and Salads were between $6 and $16 Dollars. Portions were adequate. The service was exceptionally good as well. Our Server was friendly and helpful. They also have a small grocery selection consisting of fresh meats and produce and a decadent dessert case. We will become regular diners here.
Wow, just wow! The food here is so fresh and the taste is outstanding(I'm extremely picky)!!!!Portions are great and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely going back asap!
Great food and fresh farm to table. We picked our steaks and had them prepared for us. Steaks are not on the menu but available in their cooler. Cool experience
Decided to try somewhere new, and not downtown for dinner on a Saturday night. Had heard of Fork & Plough and it looked like a cool spot. The food and service and vibe did not disappoint...feels like a hip neighborhood place and love the little market that is a part of the dining space. Enjoyed the food and wine, had a great server and wish there was something like this place on Augusta Road! Would definitely go back.
I first visited one month ago and it was so fabulous I have been back 3 times since! Love how the menu changes to try new dishes. Always order a soup. Every one of the 3 I've tried were incredible.
Anyone visiting town should check out this restaurant. If you live in GV and haven’t tried it you should.
Good food options, depending on your tastes
Really good wine choices and chef suggests how to pair them up
Great service team
What else do you want?
The food was phenomenal - so fresh. The brussel sprouts and the cab were both outstanding!
Fork and Plough came highly recommended by a family member who had been there before and we were certainly not disappointed. The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for, casual and relaxed. The Brussel Sprout appetizer was hot, tasty and plentiful. My Marinated Melon Salad was delicious and perfect for a hot summer night. The service was awesome! Our server was friendly and very attentive. It was my birthday so I got to choose a dessert. I couldn’t eat it because I was stuffed so my server let me take it home and brought me a scoop of raspberry sorbet because she couldn’t let me go home without a candle and a wish! We will definitely be back soon!
The gazspacho soup was spicy and fresh. The swordfish melted in my mouth but the $18 dollar fried oysters were chewy and almost had to be swallowed whole - not what I was expecting for a pricy mid plate. Overall, I liked the food and would come back again.
Burger being grass fed 👍
And it was so well done
Fresh salad like right from the garden
Well done peach cobbler
Nice casual place with good options on the menu
Service was great! Well run team
Erica is fabulous
I've always gotten take out from F&P so really enjoyed dining in this time! I had trouble deciding exactly what to have. o many good choices!
With the open ceilings and relatively full dining room, it was quite loud. We were a table of six and those on one end couldn’t hear the other end. The menu looked good and the actual food was quite tasty, but a bit on the pricey side. Our server was amazing though, she did an excellent job of explaining things to us, cutting a meal that was being shared in 2 different plates, and being diligent about checking our water without being obtrusive. Overall, probably better place to come for drinks and appetizers.
Michele did a great job with her recommendations
I enjoy F & P. But it feels sometimes like they are trying too hard. The blistered (fried) brussels sprouts were so burnt I had a bitter taste in my mouth. A salamander would be best to char them. My wife and I literally ate half of them. The waitress brought us another half portion in hopes to make it better, but it was more of the same, unfortunately. And we paid for them. Mushroom swiss burger tasted great, but they insist on putting the "easily wilted" arugula on it. Arugula is not a great green for a hot sandwich, because it just goes wilted immediately. You guys have talent, just don't try so hard, lol. We will be back, though. One or two more shots.
First time eating here and it did not disappoint. We started with the seasonal peach salad and then the burger. Everything was delicious. I also love the fact that the ingredients, including the grass-fed beef, are locally sourced. We will definitely return!
Sunday brunch- delicious as always.
This place has really lost its mojo. Two visits in the last month and on both occasions the food has been uninspired and bordering on plain awful. Last night we had one of the most comically inept servers ever and that made it really easy for us to decide that it will be a long time before we eat here again. Thankful that there are so many other dining options in Greenville.
The hamburger was great. Daughter loved the lamb meatball sandwich. But husband said the ham and cheese quesadilla was dry, no cheese.
Corn was really good and the burger as well! Try the peach cobbler, we loved it!
Every item we ordered was perfect! My favorite was the Wedge Salad made with Bibb lettuce. Delicate with lots of interesting flavors & textures
We enjoyed the atmosphere and delicious food! Highly recommend!
We had a lovely mid week meal. The Duck Carbonara had great flavor as well as the risotto with Scallops and pesto.
Loved the pesto.
John was a friendly and helpful server.
We appreciated the Rose Figuiere Mediterranean.
Unique and complex for s light wine.
First time there abd we will be back!
Very good food and service. We sat out on the sun porch which was quite loud but didnt spoil our lunch. Will be back!
Food was great, we had the salmon salad and short ribs, they were delicious. You get a main dish and no sides. Service was good, sound travels through the building so if there is a loud table having fun, you can hear their whole convo. Beer in cooler case isnt sold by the single for lunch 😔 but they have a lot of nice beers and wine on the menu.
Our server needs some more training. Apps were brought well before app plates. Drink menu had to be requested (actually requested 2, received 1). One of us was still working on app when main course appeared. Dessert was offered when most of us were still eating main course.
Love love love Fork& Plough
Awesome experience- will definitely be back!
Absolutely wonderful server!!
We are one carnivore and one vegetarian. We both had wonderful meals! Would def recommend and will be back.
The service was great and we tend to get the same 2-3 servers which means they must like working there. We had a wonderful experience and the food was fantastic. Based on the food and service, it is slightly more expensive than you’d usually get but well worth the price for what you get out of it and the high quality of the food.
Food was fantastic and so fresh! Great for date night or dinner with friends. Drinks from the bar were soooo tasty!
Very good food. Ambiance does not justify the prices.
The food was outstanding. The menu changes daily so we will be back very soon to try new dishes.
Another great meal!
Happiest Early Father’s Day! Brunch at the plow met my IG-induced fantasy. Try the biscuits & gravy and wash them down with an artisanal mimosa. You’re welcome. 😎
When we walked in, it smelled like rotting meat. It took them 15 minutes just to fill out water glasses and another 5 to take our orders. The food was meh. Brussel sprouts had an unappetizing bright orange sauce. Salmon salad was on wilted partially brown lettuce. And salmon was over cooked.
food was great, service was great very nice place and we will be back
Always a great experience; awesome staff and tasty food!
Wonderful food that delights every time.
Food was average and took longer than expected.
great food, great service. Server Amanda really knew the menu and was spot on with her recommendations
