You won't find a neighborhood restaurant anywhere close to Greenville doing what Greenbrier Farms’ owners Roddy Pick and Chad Bishop, and chef Shawn Kelly set out to do: provide both neighbors and visitors alike the Upstate's freshest and most plentiful meats, produce, and products, both as a dine-in and carryout option.

This concept supports the idea that farmers and chefs can make a living supplying a community with its daily necessities, while also encouraging enjoyment of a simple meal of a sandwich or steak, chop, or bake.

Just imagine: Wednesdays become your favorite lunch day of fresh and locally-sourced soups and salads with a friend. Then you get a favorite bottle of wine to bring home, coupled with carefully chosen side dishes and the best burgers and fresh Carolina seafood in Greenville to throw on the grill. Or maybe you even have a long-standing Sunday brunch date or Happy Hour with neighbors.

We loved every bite! This isn't a eat and run kind of place. The team takes great pride in food prep and service, so take it slow.

It was amazing! The food was delicious. A great venue to try new dishes. Family from out of town loved the restaurant, too. Brandy, our bartender, was amazing as well. Great drinks, attitude, and hospitality. Thank you guys so much.

Very nice atmosphere. Food was very good. My burger was well done even though I ordered med well, but I’d rather have it too done than too rare. Server was fun and knowledgeable. Made a great martini.

I've heard such good things about this restaurant and I would say that it's fine, but nothing special. We ordered hamburgers and stuffed mushrooms that were pretty good. This children's meal, however, was an epic fail. The grilled chicken tenders were over-seasoned for a 2 year old. She cried and spit it out (she typically loves chicken.) This is not s place that I would be excited to return to - particular if I have my granddaughter with me.

It was wonderful and our waiter was great! The food was spectacular, as it was our last time (which was the first time we had gone). We will return again! Thank you for such a great concept and great menu variance!

I would describe it as loud, not energetic. Need some acoustics care, could not here the women sitting right next to me. Food was good but I think overpriced.

My girlfriend, along with her daughters and I decided Fork and Plough would make a great birthday brunch for the four of us. Not so much.

The food was delicious as always, however it all arrived very cold. This was due to our server. It was extremely difficult to get her attention, and when we did she would forget what we asked for. The hostess ended up bringing us water. It took an hour to get our food order in.

We were seated on the enclosed patio on a chilly day, which was fine for a while. However, the service took so long that it became quite cold and drafty on the bench, its back directly exposed to the wind. What should have been ~1 hour meal took about 2.5 hours. If it weren't for the food runners I think we may have never gotten our food. The cackling group of girls continuously on speakerphone calls resonated loudly in the small bright room, our server was waiting on hand and foot oddly. This severely detracted from the ambiance, through no fault of the restaurant. We were done, now to try to get the check...

To their defense, it was extremely busy. It remained so until we left, upon which I spotted the server catching a smoke and chatting with her coworkers on the back patio while no doubt she had customers waiting. Tsk.

I am willing to give them another try, however I will make certain that server will not be part of the next experience.

Cute stop! Smaller building, so there’s not much parking space. If you go during a busy time of day, you’ll most likely be walking some.
Restaurant was cute inside. Well decorated, nice feel overall. Staff was nice enough, though not very attentive. We had a reservation (thankfully) as it was very busy when we got there. The hostess seemed very flustered. We were not greeted when we arrived. We stood by the hostess stand for about 5 min, she never acknowledged us. I realized it was busy, and was trying to give her a min to get her bearings, but it would also be courteous if she could have at least acknowledged we were standing there waiting. Even if she had just looked up, made eye contact and said, I’ll be right with you, that would have be PLENTY. However, that was not the case. We were finally seated. The waitress was nice and pleasant, though not super attentive. We came during lunch hour, so maybe she had several other tables to tend, which was keeping her busy. But I don’t think that was the case. We ran out of water and it took quite awhile to get our check.
Overall food was pretty good. Biscuits & Gravy were EXCELLENT! Everything else was eh. You could tell they used good ingredients, taste just wasn’t anything spectacular. Prices were rather high for the quantity/taste. A small bowl of grits were $8, and were not very flavorful.
Again, overall, I would visit again. I just might have lower expectations for service and serving sizes.

Fried Oyster Bowl was delicious. My 10 year old had Bananas Fosters Crepe and that was delicious as well. I have not been back in a few years as my wife passed 2 years ago, and I have been craving it. My daughter is a little older now and really appreciated the menu. I am sure we will be back allot more now. Worth the weekend morning trip from Simpsonville.

Visiting friends in Greenville and found this on Open Table - they had never heard of it. We all really liked it. Building has a cool vibe. Delicious food. Not a huge selection but menu items were unique. We were celebrating my wife and friend’s 50th birthdays - which I put in the special request box when I made the reservation. I was a little disappointed because No one acknowledged it.

Just moved to Greenville and found the Fork and Plough via internet search. What a find! The food is extraordinary, though pricey for the ambiance, with generous portions. A real keeper for these Arizona transplants!
