You won't find a neighborhood restaurant anywhere close to Greenville doing what Greenbrier Farms’ owners Roddy Pick and Chad Bishop, and chef Shawn Kelly set out to do: provide both neighbors and visitors alike the Upstate's freshest and most plentiful meats, produce, and products, both as a dine-in and carryout option.

This concept supports the idea that farmers and chefs can make a living supplying a community with its daily necessities, while also encouraging enjoyment of a simple meal of a sandwich or steak, chop, or bake.

I had never been before and was excited to try it! Unfortunately there were only 2 waiters for the entire room and one was training, so it ended up taking 30 minutes to get a glass of wine and over an hour to get anything but bread, and some food was never brought out. Please hire more people!

The food was amazing here but service was really awkward and borderline judgy. The waitress seemed like she hated coming to our table.. and we are very pleasant and easy-going customers. We were very confused why she seemed to reluctant to serve us. Perhaps she was having a bad day? We are not sure, but even though the food was great, we definitely won’t go back because of her.

The food was good, the crispy brussel sprouts app was a stand out. I had the short rib ravioli with black spore mushroom and rainbow chard which was very good. My wife had the house salad which was good but slightly over dressed. The Vietnamese cured salmon spring roll was tasty but the portion was a bit small for the price.

The food came burned. I even attempted to eat it only to place the meat in a napkin. My husband's food was burned also. The server was gracious and deducted the appetizers, bill was still $60 with the deduction. Love to pay for great food, but food was not great. Surprised it left the kitchen that way. Not the best experience. High-strung environment, overly -mask -indulgent, as if in competition to display mindfulness. This attention to outward detail was lost on the food, the reason for the restaurant. The dining area was well put together and well appointed. The atmosphere was slightly pretentious, but the server was very professional, and attentive. I've dined in various places, even at some of the greats in France, but at the end of the day good food -good service makes for good business.

Menu is somewhat limited but the food is good. The vegetable plate is amazing, and the crispy brussels sprouts are too. It's difficult to get lunch for under $20 (including tip) - I'd like to see the addition of some small plates, half sandwich/soup, or similar. Parking can be a challenge but there's a large church lot nearby if you don't mind walking a short distance. They have a great screened porch for dining and the seating inside is pleasant. They have a small grocery store type corner offering some pre-made meals, fresh meat, and a number of other items. It's a unique and happy place - worth checking out.

Enjoyed our lunch. Started with carrot soup and Brunswick stew. The soup had a spicy flavor, was unusually complex and was easily finished. The stew had quail among other ingredients! Absolutely delicious. My wife enjoyed the vegetable plate with a mix of veggies. The flounder poboy was good. F&B has a creative menu which changes daily with a farm to table concept. The chef is superb at putting forth an array of selections with his special touch.
Servers are attentive and attention is paid to Covid precautions. There is a small screened in area for outdoor dining.
A local favorite to which we return regularly.

The shiitake burger was very good and the portobello burger was very good
Sweet potato and regular fries very good and there was a good sized portions. Iced tea was good and waitress gave us to go cups, it was little noisy due to a loud talking table they left about the time we got our food.
I will be back

Interesting place to eat. I would certainly suggest a try. The menu is really small but the quality and preparation of everything was great. I think I would like to make sure to get there to try the Brunch menu next time. Serving portions were huge! Service was really good. Only 'ding' I would give is that I had requested a standard table in the reservation but there were only high tops available when we arrived. Not sure that is an issue with the restaurant or OpenTable.

Dinner was enjoyable. Good salad, we shared and they plated it on two plates for us. We had fried perch and curry salmon. Dishes were both good. Curry very flavorful, slightly sweet. Fries were not the greatest but perch was good, nicely crispy. Overall very good and we'll go back.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday. 3 ordered the shiitake mushroom cheeseburger and 2 guests said they were delicious ..the birthday girl ordered hers MEDIUM...it was overcooked, no pink at all and the outer edges were charred. She was very disappointed. I picked the location and made the reservation. I wanted to order the burger, but decided that I would try something different. I ordered the the dish with the "corned beef, sautéed spinach, portabella mushrooms and balsamic fried onion." Sounds good, right? YUCK Who thought it was a good idea to puree corn beef? I mean really? Pureed meat? Gross. And those fried onions were flavorless and were cardboard-like. What a total disappointment. I'm going to tell you so you know, anyone who orders corned beef...the last thing they are expecting is flavorless pureed meat. Not happy about spending money here.
