Heaven. Highly recommend. And I wonderfully safe!!
We had the tasting menu and it was wonderful. Full of surprises and amazing flavors. Portions were perfect and the wine pairings fit beautifully with each course. We had enjoyed meals here before and Forestry Camp is continually upping their game. Wonderful interpretations of Basque cuisine. 5 stars!
Great food, knowledgeable staff to celebrate our honeymoon.
We were given a gift certificate to this restaurant and really did not know what to expect.
The eclectic menu offered many interesting choices.
Our server was attentive yet did not hover!
We had an early seating but saw that it was definitely filling up.
Reservations are a must in our opinion to get good seats due to covid restrictions.
The building and dining room are lovely, well appointed and give you a good sense of history.
We liked it so much we had to go vack with friends.
Amazing food and great service. Would definitely recommend this
Excellent service. Marin took great care of us. Looking forward to coming back and doing the tasting menu.
Forestry Camp had it all! Amazing food and thoughtful, kind and fun service. Our dinner felt like an entire experience. Thank you!
If your a foodie with an open mind then you'll love this place. First time eating here, and it was perfect. low music in the background and awesome service. Food was perfect. My wife and I decided to order the tasting experience and everything was perfect. Never had I ever eaten anything as unique as the food we ordered. our waitress was on par and very helpful and answered every questioned we had.. we had alot. I would come back again with friends for this same experience.
Took my wife for dinner on Valentines Day and had the curated menu with some of the wine pairings. The food was amazing and Christian was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. If I could rate 20 stars, I would. This is my favorite place in Asheville.
Great passionate staff and well executed experience overall. We will return . Top notch ! Incredible compound . Great ambiance representing Asheville very well.
Second year in a row celebrating my birthday here. Love everything about it!! Service, food, drinks. Hidden gem in town
Absolutely nothing but good things to say about our experience at Forestry Camp. Service was spot on from, helpful, well informed staff. Nice selection of wines, cocktails, and they also found a nice single malt scotch when requested. Menu was diverse with unique takes on a range of small plates and entrees. My wife had their extraordinary take on a roast beef sandwich and I went with the in house fresh pasta, Rutabaga Bizkaina, Egg Yolk, Espelette Pepper, Culinary Gardener Spinach. WOW. Delivered in a great atmosphere...
Highly recommended
Great experience. The food was amazing. You can tell the chef/owners really care about the quality of the food. Everything we had was amazing. Starters were the charcuterie board snd trout croquettes. We shared the pork chop which was definitely shareable. We finished with a delicious cheese cake. We especially loved the stout pours they had. Our waitress was also outstanding. I believe her name was Marin (sp?). Loved the history of the building she provided as well.
We were running behind and they still did everything to accommodate us! Great place
Food was mediocre for price & everything we ordered needed salt. We were really excited about the food & ambience since we love Burial beer so much & had really been looking forward to it. Not sure if this was an off night but the food left a lot to be desired for the price point. Our waitress was very nice though.
Unique atmosphere & history - farm to table food with delicious & different recipes.
My wife and I decided to do the tasting menu. The experience was incredible and the food was excellent! It might have been quieter there because it was Superbowl Sunday in the pandemic, but we found the ambiance and service great as well. I enjoyed most of the beer but didn't try any of the sours which I wish I'd done.
My fiancé and I did an early Valentines there. The waitress was very informative and we loved hearing about the history of the location. She was incredibly professional and even had to deal with a couple that was sitting each other’s lap and continued making out during most of other guests meal. I will also note this is an incredibly intimate atmosphere so the couple was obvious. Our food was incredible. We ordered the charcuterie board, grilled olives, Evans Salad and ribeye. Every thing was beyond exquisite. We will definitely be back.
Can't wait to come back! Everything was super fresh and oh so good. Loved the charcuterie board, grilled root vegetables and then the ricotta gnocchi. Everything * !
Food and service were both outstanding.
Our server Christian was attentive and informative
The tasting menu was wonderful and delicious! Our server offered us great suggestions for drinks to go with each course. The ambience was quiet and warm. We will definitely be back!
Great for beef and pork lovers but not many options for chicken loves. They do have the best staff.
Food was outstanding. Waiter was attentive but not in your face. Really enjoyed it.
First trip and we loved the place, a unique venue. Go and enjoy.
We had such a wonderful time for my birthday! The staff was very thoughtful and knowledgeable. Food was AMAZING.
Three of us girls decided to go with the tasting menu. We were glad we did! We had some amazing samples otherwise might have missed out. Our server was super and the place was close to the Biltmore where we came from. I would visit again when I'm back in Asheville.
Everything was perfect.
I'm surprised I haven't been there any sooner. Somewhere I will be going more regularly!
Absolutely fantastic! I love the format of just sitting down and everything just comes to me. I get to experience food I might not otherwise have tried.
We brought out of town guests and we were able to visit with one another a lot more for not having our faces in menus trying to choose what to eat. I think we (and what I really mean is YOU) made a great impression on them. We talked about the food all weekend.
My husband and I frequent FC often but we both agree this last time was really special. The portions were just right and we were able to eat and enjoy all of the courses right to the very end.
Thank you for the amazing job you do to keep the tasting new and interesting, it makes us want to come again and again!
I had eaten there before and thought it was above board. This go round was compromised—rutabaga ravioli was bitter and tough to eat, soup was cold, pork was over cooked, and dessert was average. The olives were delicious and the wait staff very gracious however.
First visit. Incredible atmosphere and we really enjoyed most of our food. There were some outstanding items and the ambiance made our experience exceptional.
10/10 for atmosphere! Beautiful space, amazing location, and easy parking. The service started out fantastic and we were on cloud 9 about this “new” spot. Beer and wine is fantastic.
We did the 5 course tasting menu and we were shockingly disappointed in how bad the food was. No dish complimented the other, everything was incredibly salty (minus the ravioli and soup which barely had a flavor), and we were there for 2 1/2 hours. We waited over 30 minutes for the dessert portion and our waitress kept saying it was coming or in the window. Once we received it, it was three baby sliced pieces of samples that honestly weren't that great. It was as if you picked up a frozen dessert at the grocery store. There wasn’t one dish we would go back for.
Leaving this review because if you’re particular about what you spend your money on, especially during times of covid, I would NOT grab dinner here. But I do recommended enjoying the atmosphere over beverages.
Amazing place. Love the space and how it's been re-imagined into a restaurant. Food was awesome and service was fantastic. Highly recommend it.
We did the tasting menu for a belated birthday dinner with the wine pairing and it was amazing! I’m bringing more friends back in a few days to do the a la carte
Outdoor dining on a covered upper deck in winter. Cold, but a great option during COVID. Great flavors, excellent service, interesting wines.
We really enjoyed the tasting menu. The meat dishes were amazing! We would definitely do it again.
I love the vibe. I love the beer. The food is fine. What was disappointing was that the menus were incorrect. We were given “old menus” and when ordering the pork chop the waitress did not correct it. When the order came out as a triple pork platter the server brushed it off as “it’s just an old menu. Yeah this is different than the pork chop.” And this particular dish wasn’t any good and didn’t even get finished. For the money it was disappointing and the service recovery was poor.
The setting and service were outstanding but the food left much to be desired. The waitperson seemed surprised that we were locals and they obviously depend on the Biltmore to send guests their way. The chef tried to accommodate our vegan companion but the food was pretty much tasteless and undercooked, even the non vegan choices we made. They did do a great job of COVID protection. I do not plan to return.
