By changing our menu seasonally, we are able to get creative with what Hawai’i has to offer us. This is a great restaurant. Very interesting menu that makes choosing very difficult. Fantastic food! We were a party of five and all came away very happy. Will definitely be back when we are on the big island!

Great service, well cooked food. A little loud and busy which goes to show it’s a place people like eating at. Very clean and had a good esthetic. We had to wait past our reservation time but they were very commutative from the start. Chefs did an amazing job. I was a little disappointed they were out of the one thing I went there for the baked fish. That was made up with there friendly professional staff. Double checking and trying to accommodate their full house. Along with trying to accommodate my MTHFR diet which is extremely difficult but my family loved the food. The clams in there sauce were especially delicious. Not a full 5 but they deserve more than a 4.

The bar area was quite noisy which flowed into the small, casual diningroom. Menu was very interesting but limiting. The cheapest entree, Poke Bowl, was $36.

Best food on the island. Really good farm to table with great beef. The Big Island isn’t the best for food, but FORC is the exception. We always go to Waimea for dinner there, worth the drive.

Absolutely incredible. Do not miss the Lao Lao Hawaiian dinner. One of the best meals I’ve ever had because it was at once intensely flavorful and rustic and one I won’t soon forget.

Our entire experience was one of a kind for our anniversary. We were greeted with two glasses of champagne to celebrate our special day by our waitress Sara She was incredible! Full of joy and knowledgeable. Knew the menu inside and out. The food was incredible. Great portions, locally sourced, and some of the best recipes I’ve ever had. Overall a must visit in Hawaii.

FORC was excellent as it was in the past. We loved it from the time we walked in with great energy and many locals at the bar. Liz was our fantastic server and took great care of us all evening. From drinks to appetizers to dinner everything was done extremely well. One of our streaks was a little over temp and she immediately had it replaced. Always nice to enjoy the aloha of a local restaurant.

We celebrated Life here. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. The chef visited our table twice and shared how he prepared our meal. We highly recommend visiting and enjoying the fresh local fare.

Overall a good experience, service was a bit slow, and our server disappeared completely and someone else finished for her. The ribeye steak was a little on the bland side, and the suggestion was to get it rare to medium rare. The rare I got was rare enough where a skilled veterinarian could have brought it back to life. Everything else in the order was acceptable. Drinks were good. This was my second FORC experience and for the price and overall experience I don’t feel that I would return. Meh

We usually come for happy hour and we love it. We’ve always had a nice experience so l made reservations a few weeks out for a special dinner with friends and had hoped to sit in the actual restaurant area, but we were seated in the booths by the bar area. That would have been fine, but the booths were sooo uncomfortable with no padding and an awkward height to sit in, that it distracted me from fully enjoying the evening. 🍽️ Good food, delicious cocktails and nice staff.

Ingredients were very good, but food preparation was inconsistent. Ordered the filet medium rare and it came well done. Attendant offered to have it redone, but I declined since I’m not into wasting food. Although it was not the correct temperature, it was still a good cut and the coffee rub suited the dish. The New York came as ordered and very good.

Our family chose FORC for our celebratory dinner during our stay on the Big Island this summer, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. My husband had the filet and my son the NY strip, both prepared to perfection. I enjoyed the traditional Hawaiian hotpot – which was fun to share with my two boys who had never been to Hawaii before. The chicken was so flavorful and we all loved the ginger salad. My youngest son had the three course keiki meal, delicious – especially the coconut sorbet and the portion was so generous we all had some. Plus the cream puff and the duck egg custard, the latter was decadent and delicious and my eldest son and I are still talking about it. We all ordered drinks – mocktails and wine – and service was impeccable. Highly recommend, and we will definitely return on our next visit to Hawaii.

FORC was very accommodating as our reservation group grew twice from our first reservation. The waiter staff was great - Walter is such a good fellow! The food - most of us had the NY Strip or the 14 Oz Ribeye, prepared accurately and very good. Both the Butterleaf and the Beet salads get high marks! A fun experience that left all in our group glad we left the coast resorts for a delightful dinner up in the foothills of Kamuela/Waimea!

Amazing experience! Food was very fresh, well prepared and service excellent. Remember this is farm to table so it’s possible they are out of some menu items because they don’t over-stock. This was our top restaurant in Kona. Highly recommend

I wanted to like this place as everything in Waimea is usually fantastic. It is a hit and miss. Mostly miss. It is definitely not a competition to Merriman’s or more casual Fish and Hog. Fish is good, could have more souse on a side. Goat tacos is probably the most exciting dish. The chicken is cooked to death, not even close to what you get on weekends around the corner. The salad was not dressed, period - they just forgot. mushroom poke tasted like a can food, no flavor, no zest, just blah. I am not an expert but top restaurants usually see chefs doing final quality control checks before plates make it to tables. You can see that this place does not have a pastry chef - sad. If you dont have a chef you can still serve fresh local fruits and ice cream. This could be a good place eventually after they drop the items that can not execute and stick to simple dishes using phenomenal Waimea produce.

Expect a long dinner, 3 course took over 2 hours. Very pricy, rib eye was $50 and chewy. Whole fish while good, $120 which didn't include any starch and had to pay extra. Kitchen slow even with Kapua providing good service. I did get a couple of birthday surprises! Hard to say if I'll return...

A perfect place for our Anniversary. The food was wonderful and the portion size was good for us... We are older and don't eat alot.But the couple we were with had a huge steak. They enjoyed their dinner also. The setting was cozy and very good for our table of four. It would have been an added benefit if they would have acknowledged our anniversary with a chocolate or small after dinner something.... (mint) But it was a very good experience.
