It was revealed to Open Table AND Fogo upon being seated and asked if there was an occasion we were celebrating, that this was for my 75th Birthday. Hard Stop/End of THAT story. We were presented with the most expensive option available and asked if we would like to try that initially. We are not big eaters so opted to share a couple smaller dishes - anjd were told that was not possible - no sharing. So we each ordered something - never saw our waitress again - other than going to other tables - she seemed zoned out. Never did receive our Jumbo Shrimp appetizer until I FINALLY - after waiting and waiting - asked for our check. It was only then that our Jumbo Shrimp dish was served - and we turned it back as: 1) we were full by then and 2) we had a show time to make. The ambience was loud. I WAS impressed with other servers that sensed something was askew - and once again - no mention of the birthday milestone. Disappointed

The food was ok, but not worth the price. The pork belly was the best thing there. The different beef options are mostly served at well or well done. When served medium rare, they were good, but you get a beater cut and better value at Morton’s ornaments Ruth Chris’. The buffet was fine, nothing outstanding. The cheese bread was delicious. Our server made a racist remark to us, which made the experience disappointing.

Service was fantastic, however the “market bar” was poorly stocked. One or two of the cuts at the table were amazing, however the rest were just okay. Overall, it felt overpriced for the experience. We went on a Monday night, so maybe they just stock things “lighter”, but overall, for a $200 for two people, I expected more.

Father’s Day was crazy. Was left outside in the heat even with reservations. I have been to another Fogo de chao on Mother’s Day and was immediately seated. Salad bar didn’t seem quite as large as the others? Used to going all the way around? Maybe return to San Francisco or Portland Oregon

Overall, we had a pretty decent experience. We showed up for our reservation about 10 minutes early, but then we had to wait for about 20 minutes to be seated. It was really odd, the hostess would take one party at a time, that’s not the odd part, and make the next party. Wait at least five minutes between parties being seated. The gauchos were slow to come out and serve the meat, it took about 30 minutes for me to get the chicken. The food was excellent, but in my opinion, it is overly expensive for basically a fancy buffet. The weight staff is very friendly, our waiter was great. However, he brought the receipt and on the first go around he had only charged for our drinks. The second go around he bought a new receipt and had charged for a wrong item. He said that he would remove one of the drinks from our bill, because of a mixup. He did not do that and by the third receipt to come out, we just paid it. So, like I said, a decent experience, overly priced, staff is friendly enough, food is great. We’ll probably go again for a special occasion like we did this time.

I’ve been to Fogo in Vegas, San Francisco, and San Jose. This one is small, salad bar offerings were meager and not timely replenished — the entire salad bar was mostly empty when my family walked up. Very limited meat options. Not the Fogo experience we are used to. Disappointing experience.

Two got out with a $250 check. A couple drinks and an appetizer. Our coasters were always green as all they offered were lower value meats. Not what i was used to at Fogo.
