Even though I made reservations, the wait was long.
I hate to write a bad review, but Fogo really messed up Mother's Day reservations. It was comparable to dining at Disneyland - a crowd outside, overwhelmed staff, and our table we waited an hour for our reserved table. The Market Table was open with health-safety measures that made sense, but they passed meat from table to table without any safety measures at all - letting all diners examine meats sans masks - yuk! We didn't eat any of the meats, but the food on the buffet was average buffet salads (soaked in dressings). The bar is great!

My family and I had Mother's Day dinner at this restaurant for the first time on Sunday. Needless to say, it was very, very busy. Although we made reservations two weeks ahead of time, we still had to wait more than 30 minutes for our table. The food tasted good, although some of the meat seemed overcooked and tough . They have a great salad bar, but needed to be be replenished when we got there. The cheese was almost gone, and looked messy. I realize it was a busy day, but some of the employees were not very friendly. Our servers were outstanding though. Overall it is a nice restaurant and would love to come back on a regular night without the crowds.
Given it was Mother's Day and there lots of people out, dining, I thought the staff handled customers quite well. There were first-timers in our group, including a 7-year-old and they loved it! Looking forward to next time.
Dined in for Mother’s Day. It was busy even with reservations. Safety measure in place before going to the buffet area- you must hand sanitizer and they give you disposable gloves. You can remove it once seated at your table. Food was amazing. The wagyu beef was the best. Service was great.
Went on a very busy night. Service was not good, especially from the bar. Our server disappeared for a good 20 mins (she went on break without telling our party of 13). Didn’t see her much after she came back. The food was disappointing. Maybe 5 different selection of meat, not the usual.

Miscommunication with the waiter. The menu was never explained clearly and could hardly understand what he was saying with his pretty hard accent. We received food that we didn’t even order. Felt like they’re taking advantage of some customers that are new to the restaurant. So disappointed with the service but food is great.
First, they didn't have my table ready, I made a reservation that I had made a week before. second, the place was so crowded you couldn't even walk, and they didn't respect social distancing rules. the waiters hardly stopped to offer us meat, I asked more than 4 times for a glass of wine and they never gave me it. The restaurant is very expensive for what they offer. I honestly would not go to that place again.

If you are looking for a covidsafe place this is not it. The tables were way too close together. The lobby to deal with the hostess was jam packed with people. Some were not even wearing masks. The food was good and device was attentive but I will wait a while before going back until covid is no longer a concern.

They fill you up with the salad bar. The gauchos rarely come by. What we did eat was delicious though and the staff are very friendly.

I came here with my family to celebrate Mother’s Day early. I managed my expectations knowing that it was a busy Friday night, and for many places due to pandemic, they would possibly be understaffed. That certainly wasn’t the case here and if they are understaffed, you wouldn’t know it.
We were very impressed by the excellent customer service! I had read mixed reviews about the service here but I must say, our experience was top notch! I can’t remember the last time we’ve been at a restaurant that was very busy while still receiving quality service. I mean, they were checking up on us every 5-10 minutes. The food was delicious as well! I have zero complaints about our experience and we look forward to returning again!
Safe practices in play during covid. They have you hand sanitize and wear gloves to go to the buffet. Food was great and so was the variety of food. Servers were great!

GREAT FOOD! Never fails, I eat at Fogo every chance I get but usually go to DTLA on Figueroa. Ambience was a bit lacking but it was a busy Saturday night so it was a little loud.
I appreciate that they now hand out gloves before you get to the salad bar.
If you haven’t already, definitely try the white cheddar with honey and the Strawberry Hibiscus Caipirinha!
We went to celebrate a bachelor party, and the service was perfect! Food was delicious and the drinks were really good!
I decided to give this location another chance after having another bad experience years ago. I was excited to go back to San Diego fogo. It seemed that if you didn’t upgrade your course then you were not going to get service at all. We sat without service for close to 40min. Before a waitress decided to check on us. After our discussion the waiter decided to come check on us so we asked for another round of drinks. They never came. It’s not a coincidence the last 2/3 times I went to this location it has been horrible service and mediocre flavor. Burnt or undercooked no in between.

It was spectacular
Perfect restaurant to celebrate my 30th Birthday. My friend brought a cake for me and they were so kind as to keep it in the fridge so it would hold up nice by the end of dinner. All in all I’m definitely coming back because it was an amazing experience and the meat selection was GREAT !

Marketplace portion wasn't good and just odd to be forced to go to a salad bar before the meat would be served. Not impressed with cold broccoli and asparagus. Meat cuts were awesome and tasty!

Service so so. Had to ask for the higher end meats. The location was difficult to get to. States they have valet parking, they do not. The meat was not seasoned as it normally is. For the cost, I was very disappointed.

Enjoyed the dinner at Fogo as always. Brought a friend who had never experienced a Churrascaria before and she loved it. Service was excellent.
Delicious choices! Service was on point, even if our waitress did go on break without informing us. Do not be afraid to ask for replenishment of the food bar items...they usually get right on it. Enjoyed!👌🏽
Ambiance was great! Hostess was welcoming! Unfortunately, those were the highlights. We didn't have an assigned waiter, so every couple of minutes, someone was coming by asking if we were good. When we did ask for something, we had to ask several times or it was never delivered. For $60 a person, you would also think non alcoholic drinks would be inclusive. After hyping it up to out of town friends and excited about it being our first time, I was sadly disappointed.
