Our server was Jorge and he was EXCELLENT. Very knowledgeable about the items offered and made great recommendations.
It was the best experience I have ever had there. I will definitely go back. And bring friends.
Cuts are amazing and drinks are worth the price.
Amazing food - as always. service is usually awesome - would have been 5-stars for service but had to ask several times for coffee & the bill.
The food is amazing and the staff is very attentive. The wait was about 45 minutes but it was Valentine's weekend so it's to be expected.
My husband and I never get to go out....so this weekend, when parents came to town and babysat, we were super excited to try this Brazilian steakhouse downtown. We had a 7:30 pm reservation and did not get seated until 8:30 pm only after calling them again from outside the restaurant where we had been waiting. And then the service was horrible. We would turn our card to green and it took forever for someone to come offer meat off the skewers. And is was always the same variety of meats that was offered. We were skipped all the time. I couldn’t even get top sirloin offered after even asking a waiter for it. Flank steak, chicken, lamb chop, and towards the end...pork sausage. That’s all we got offered to us all night. I saw what I wanted being offered to other people....not us! I basically got full off rolls and sides because I was waiting for other meats. Oh!,...and the server took my plate promising me a clean one....card was green...never got my plate. My husband had to get up and get one for me. Not worth $55!
Horrible customer service
Beautiful accommodation for our first anniversary celebration.
The food was great. Service was subpar. We were seated but it took a very long time to get our beverages refilled. The table service was excellent, even though we were seated towards a corner of the restaurant. Had the waitstaff been more on top of things, my review would have been better.
Made a reservation for 9pm on
We had a reservation at 8:45 on Valentine’s Day but didn’t get seated until 10:00. The food was great though!
Everything eas good
They apparently took walk-ins on Valentine’s Day. This caused the restaurant to get an hour and a half behind on reservations. It caused me to miss another event I had scheduled. If you know you have 1800 people in reservations in a day, You shouldn’t take walk-ins. After finally getting sat, however, the experience was great.
We went for Valentine’s Day. The restaurant was so overbooked that there was a line out of the door for reservation check ins. We had a 7:15 reservation and did not get seated until almost 9:00 PM. When we were being lead to our table the hostess realized another couple had already been seated at our table. We were left standing in the middle of the dining area while she sought out an empty table to clear of silverware from the previous guests. No discounts or apologizes were given.
It’s Valentines Day - that means we were prepared for an overly stimulating night. We made reservations, the restaurant did a good job getting us seated in a reasonable manner.
The salad bar was subpar. They ran out of options quick and they just couldn’t replenish the options quick enough. The butternut squash soup was delicious though.
Once we got our meats everything was overcooked. I would ask for rare meat and they’d give me medium well. Three separate times we would have food runners come to my table and serve the other three people and skip me... i was kinda shocked! My friend requested lamb chops 4 different times from 4 different food runners/servers and he didn’t get them until right before he was too full to eat anymore.
Not to mention - Fogo has a Valentines special going on. We inquired and never got info. We got tired of waiting so we left.
All & all, it was a crappy dining experience. We expected delays and overcrowding, but this was just madness, sloppiness, overwhelming chaos and $140 that wasn’t worth it. I only wish our friends & I had been given a great experience.
We were celebrating Valentine’s Day and it was awful. Food was bad. I immediately got sick. Chewed meat was on the floor. Nothing was clean. Worst experience. Will not return
Should not had to wait an hour to be seating if I booke my reservation a month and half ago
Went on Valentine’s Day. It was very crowded, very load, and the service dwindled after our main course while we waited almost 30 minutes for our dessert. Food was great.
Food was not flavorful. I realize it was Valentines Day but service was slow. The entire table was not offered meats at the rounds of the gauchos. Expected more for our celebration.
First time experience for us both, everything was delicious
The service we received was outstanding. We went out with relatives and enjoyed ourselves greatly. Would definitely recommend to other family memebers and friends.
We had a reservation for 6:30 and arrived at 6:25. We did not get seated until 7:00. As soon as we were seated, the waitress took out drink order. We did not receive our drinks until 7:20. The bar was good and the meat was okay. Nothing spectacular. First, and probably last, visit.
I like this place ,but after being a customer after 9 years. They i experience different staff never offer the full experience.. i just found out they had something 2 times i was never offered before..
Everything was great, a true Brazilian experience. The meats, fruit and vegetable bar were OUTSTANDING!
Most delicious meal and reasonably price got what you get. The service was amazing!
Went late food was tasteless. Very disappointing to say the least
Absolutely amazing great service and the food was fresh hot and an explosion of flavors in your mouth. Not to mention the service was top-notch
Soooo good! We did the brunch (huge) and the fun coffee aflame!
Very disappointed at food and value. Most of the meat cuts were tough, overseasoned. Some very polite servers but meat cuts very slow to your table. Salad bar was great and fresh. After dessert, bill was $170.00. did not feel that cost was worth the meal we received. Don't let valet parking fool you. It's terrible and a waste of time. Park it yourself. Glad I tried it but will go to a prime steakhouse like Myron's or Ruth Kris instead...better food...better service....thanks but no thanks ....
We were put in a small, intimate room, which is fine, but it took a while for the gouchos to come with the meat. The meats were delicious but didn't really vary. I believe only 3 different varieties of meat made it to our area, and one chicken and one lamb. The experience was ok, I'd go again with friends but other Brazilian steakhouses are better.
If you are looking to do something special. This is definitely the place
We weren’t getting served any food until I had to complain about it.... 4 of us dining.
Asked for Filet several times, only ended up getting a small piece of it once.
Only saw 3 cuts of beef and 1 chicken come to us...
Wagyu steak at $125 wasn’t anything special...but, at least we got it.
Luckily the salad bar items were available.
At over $400, I expected it to be a memorable dining experience. We took our son there for a special occasion having graduated from Air Force BMT...that wasn’t the case. We enjoyed our $40 lunch at Garcia’s Mexican restaurant WAY more for 10x less!
This was a big disappointment on a special day for us.
The food was good but the salad bar should not be called one. The side would be tasty if they were warm when delivered. When we asked for more bread it took about 45 minutes to get some.
Fogo is the place to go for the most celebrated occasions due to the high price and challenges getting seating for large groups. Nonetheless, it is absolutely worth it to have an amazing meal with bounties of great food for a set price. I have been making an annual trip here for 4 years now with a group of friends from college when we all come to San Antonio to meet up and its perfect for such an occasion.
I always go to fogo de chao over any other Brazilian steakhouses but this experience was not my best. The food was great as always but the service was very subpar I waited a long time and I felt as if staff and management were not prepared as they usually are. Maybe because it was a late night on Thursday but I am sure that it could have been just an off day for everyone.
One of the best restaurant I ever went to! The food is delicious. The prices are reasonnable. Servie is number one! Go there!
Never fails... the service here is horrible. The waiter deliberately ignored us on multiple occasions that the manager even took notice and apologized on their behalf. The restaurant was not busy and the had to continue to ask the manager to have certain meats come to our table.
Food was great...love the Picanha. Drink service was a little bit chaotic...but the Premium Caipirinha was fantastic.
