Celebrated our wedding anniversary and decided to try their lunch. It was the same great experience and nice quiet ambiance. Gabriel and staff were impeccable.
The meat selection was limited, sides and bread were slow coming out and served cold, meat quality was horrible. This was the worst dining experience I’ve had in a very long time.

Have been here many times. Seems like the service has gone downhill. I’m sure restrictions due to the pandemic play a part. Instead of the steady flow of meats, they were slow and far between. Drink orders were also delayed. Overall, not worth the money on this occasion.

The servers were amazing ! Literally. There was a server for everything, one for food, one came and replaced drinks, one came and served us other meals. It was a great experience.
Aaliyah was my waitress she was nice , great service , funny and great attitude! I went with my daughter and Bff had the best night ever great laughs and the wine was amazing!
We had a reservation for 8:30 but had to wait for our table until 9:10. Service was spotty and we had to ask for most things from plates to water and sides. The food was great as always, but the service was very poor. We ordered a bottle of wine at the beginning of the meal and never received it after an hour and asking twice. We cancelled the wine because we had already spent almost two hours there. The manager offered to give us some desert for free and of course we said that would be great. A new waitress came to our table and we had to explain the whole situation to her as well. After about 10 minutes she came back and asked what kind of desert we wanted. They ended up bringing us desert after about 45 minutes from when the manager offered it. It was amazing and definitely made up for some of the inconveniences but the whole experience was absolutely not what you expect from an establishment with that kind of reputation. Especially when the table across from us was receiving bottle after bottle of liquor with a staff member attending to them frequently.

My spouse and I went to celebrate her birthday, the cocktails were great and so was the food. The wait staff did seem to lack a bit of knowledge for what was being served. Overall was a great experience.

My husband and I are first responders that have been dealing with the Covid crisis for one entire year nonstop. We decided to plan a getaway to San Antonio and enjoy our Labor Day weekend., as we desperately needed a break from a horrific year. We have been frequent guests at Fogo for the last 20 years, but this last visit sealed the deal and we will no longer patronize them. They allowed a lot of panhandlers in their bar area which they were well aware of and yet did nothing to dissuade them to leave the restaurant. Once inside everyone had to be allowed a wait time to enter the salad bar to which we were not allowed to touch anything and the disinfectant spray that they bathe our hands with prior to them handing us our salad plate, was all over the salad. No longer have the multiple choices of cheeses, they did not have croutons, they did not have ranch dressing, They did not have the majority of the normal fixings that they had previously offered at the salad bar. once at our table we had to wait 8 to 20 minutes just for bread, and croutons for our salad. At that point you’re frustrated and unable to relax. We were sat next to a table that had three Very rowdy children. They were dressed in swimsuits and flip-flops as their parents were too. Extremely disappointing. This is the second time we received less than satisfied service. For what this restaurant charges we will no longer be going back. It was frustrating that they use the pandemic as an excuse to limit seating, or services, or products yet they charge full price for everything

Fogo is fine, but the meat quality and overall value are not up the same level as their competitors located in San Antonio Texas. Brasao and Chama Gaucha are both superior in food quality and level of service, as is Texas de Brazil.

Everything was wonderful. Our waitress Yvonne (Yvonna) was an amazing and exceptional...She aided in the visual I had in mind to propose to my girlfriend and it all was so well timed and thought out. The ambiance was impeccable...I highly recommend...will be returning.

We were there for Restaurant Weeks they brought him soup & everything he could eat, and then didn’t even charge us for his meal. We love this place!

It's all table service including the salad bar for sanitary reasons so salad/fruit portions were small. Got lots of bread refills though. Staff was very attentive and even offered to make fries for my picky special needs son.

Steak was awesome as usual. Perfect salt balance and flavor. Sadly tho, the market table /salad options were a joke due to how this restaurant chose to respond to covid guidelines. Once the salad person finally came by, they would offer maybe 3-4 pieces of lettuce on whatever salad you chose, enough for maybe 2 forkfuls. They had the steak process down perfectly as usual tho.
Horrible service by far
Staff seemed more worried about getting more tables than taking care of tables which I get I work on the river walk but damn all we needed were basics you know refills plates cleared and someone to acknowledge us the only thing they kept up with was bread but not once was it served warm we got cold bread rolls
I was trying to celebrate my birthday and have a wonderful time all I got was annoyed with service and watching what looked like managers texting on their phones
Worst experience by far we didn’t even stay for dessert which is complementary on your birthday I opted out and went somewhere else

They are receiving large parties which I think they should avoid for health purposes. They had a table of 10 people very close to where I was sitting, which worried me and made me uncomfortable.
It took 3 times for me to orders my drink so they waitress actually brought it to me. For their fees and overall prices, they should have better service.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful evening at Fogo de Chão. All of the servers went above and beyond taking care of each guest. Holden and Joshua had the restaurant running perfectly. Everything was very well organized in accordance with CDC guidelines, and it was still a very relaxing and wonderful setting. We had an experience we’ll remember for a very long time and we intend to come back as soon as we are able to.
The food was not like it always is. It was still very good. But not as good as it has been in the past. We went right when they open so I guess I could say that they just weren’t ready yet.. But like I said it was still very good and definitely not affect me not wanting to go back in the future. Literally the best restaurant, the best staff and the best experience possible!!!!!

They was no order it seemed like everyone wats just winging it and there for the money. It was our first time here and instead of telling us how everything worked and especially during this time, the server just kept asking if we wanted to add food to our experience and never gave prices. So we knew it was going to be expensive. We did decide to add the seafood tower to whatever experience we were going to get, and it took them 20 minutes to bring it out. The tower is all served cold, which we weren’t told and it had no seasoning at all on it. When we complained they offered to sauté it to go. Why charge $100 for flavorless, and fishy smelling food. Then due to COVID they bring the salad bar to you, but they kept bringing the same chicken salad, Caesar salad, candied bacon, and something else that I can’t remember. Like that was the only thing on the salad bar, and when I asked for some fruit the lady gave an irritated sigh because I wanted more than the strawberries she offered. The meat was mediocre and the service was atrocious. I’ve never wasted $250/$300 with tip at what was suppose to be a fine dining establishment. The only thing we had there that was good was the candied bacon. If they’re going to charge these prices they can certainly make sure it’s worth it. The only thing that came in under 15 minutes was the check. Also, if you’re charging $100 you can at least clean the shrimp! 🤮

Great food, impeccable service and an outstanding service experience for our anniversary.
We had my birthday lunch here during covid. Everything was safely handled - made people wear masks when not eating at their tables, no one getting in the lines for salad/fruits, servers would bring salads to the table and were also all masked.
There was one server in particular who really dropped the ball. We asked for a dessert menu-never brought it. We put in two orders of coffee-waited about 10 minutes and never brought it. We had to ask another server to check on it. Although it was around noon, it was not busy at all so we didn’t understand the long wait for something like coffee.
I thought customers could’ve also been more spread out during this time. They sat a group right next to us while there were many tables open a bit further away.
Overall, food was good and we had a good time.
