Came to this spot after watching a amazing show at the movie theater and walking around the new and improved Rosemont turf field A perfect spot to escape the heat and enjoy a amazing cocktail.
At the center you will find a salad bar with options to please everyone. Prepared salads, smoked salmon, prosciutto, plenty of veggies, cheese... I would have been content just eating from the bar. I obviously did not limit myself though.
At the table is a never ending supply of crispy polenta, grilled bananas, garlic mash potatoes, and lovely bread puff with cheese inside. Again, you could stop here, but these are simply accompaniments.
Flip your card from red to green and you will be consistently approached for different cuts of meat. The parmesan cooked pork was my favorite but everything was ace. I had to flip back to red after each cut was put onto my place because I hardly got a bite in before 2 other servers approached me asking if I wanted another cut.
The staff was incredibly friendly and a woman who I believe to be one of the managers checked in on our table, and she also helped in clearing tables which I especially appreciated.
Whether you are an absolute carnivore, vegetarian, or somewhere in between - there is a ton to enjoy here. Definitely plan on returning.
To start when we walked in we were greeted by the hostess and she had such a pleasant smile and it was very busy. We checked in for our reservation and the young lady politely told us our table would be ready very soon and how AWESOME because we were early! We went to the bar area which looks Amazing we sat down and WOW the bartenders here know how to put on a show! They had us laughing having a good time and since they have tv's with sports on we were able to keep up with our sports we follow which we LOVED because good stuff is going on right now. We were enjoying ourselves so much we almost missed our name being called but a lovely young lady came to us and said they remembered us and asked if we would like to be sat but not to rush. This place was packed and we felt like we being treated like royalty! We got sat and it continued to get better. The server who I wish I remembered his name was absolutely fantastic! He explained how the serving deal works and he suggested a shrimp appetizer we LOVED! We went to the salad bar and it was filled with delicious cheeses, fresh pineapple, papaya, different salads, and so much more to choose from that blew our mind! As we were finishing with the plates we got at the salad bar someone was right there to switch our dirty plates almost without us even realizing it. Some places make you keep your dirty silverware but not here they changed it too! Our drinks stayed full and he even suggested a fantastic bottle of wine we have never tried before. As we're eating the meats the meat servers were buzzing around and we got to try all the meats. The place was packed and it was amazing how well it runs when so busy when feeding so many people. I appreciate the management here! Bottom line this is the place to go if you want to have the type of experience that will blow your mind, with exceptional service and top notch food!! Best dinner on a monday night.
Food was great. Servers was really attentive and our main waitress was fantastic. She made sure we had everything we needed and went the extra mile to help us celebrate our parents 42nd Anniversary.
Very crowded, there was Comic Con going on. Pretty pricing for dinner service. Sign up for the e-club and get a nice little coupon to help out.
Sat down for a 1pm reservation at 125pm despite a half empty dining room. Had to rush through our meal only to return to our office almost 30 minutes after we were expected. I’ll avoid bringing groups of more than 4 people in the future.
Great good and great service.
great food and wine as always. I been there multiple times
I had to meet someone in Rosemont and unfortunately, there is a lack of local restaurants there. I had never been to a Fogo de Chao and wanted to try it. It reminded me why I don't eat at chain restaurants. Couldn't be less authentic and the food quality was fine while the pricing was more like fine dining. I should have known better.
Whatever you do, don't leave your "red/green tag" on green for very long as you will literally have someone come offer you a variety of meat about every 10 seconds. I'm not over exaggerating.
To top it off, we asked to see a dessert menu. Ten minutes later they brought us our bill and said "enjoy your evening." Evidently they were more interested in turning the table than serving us dessert.
My recommendation in Rosemont is to not go to Rosemont to eat. All the places are fast turn, overpriced mass market establishments. FdC was no different.
Great Mother’s Day experience
Absolutely FANTASTIC! Food and service was great...
Spent this past Saturday afternoon with a family member eating lunch at one of my favorite restaurants. Although we had reservations, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Following the wait, we were sat in a corner by the waiter/waitress collection station. After the brief explanation from our waitress, we proceeded to the salad bar and began our meal. Having been to this location multiple times, I’m accustomed to receiving the accompaniments (bananas, cheese bread, fried yuka) in short order. In this case, we had to request it. With that being said, once we shifted to their selection of meats, we were more than satisfied with presentation, service and taste. Overall not a bad experience but considering the price, it should be better.
I am by nature, a pork person and beef is quite a ways down my list. However, when my two oldest daughters from opposite ends of the country decided to visit me and told me they were taking me out to Fogo de Chao, I had no idea what to expect. It turns out that this is one of the great meat restaurant chains in the country, a true meat lovers paradise, despite the fact that they emphasize beef. They even made a beef lover out of me.
When you arrive, you are seated at a table cloth covered table with silverware, meat tongs, and a placard for each person. The placards simply let the wondering servers, carrying skewers of meat, know to stop at your side and let you check out their particular offering. So many servers come by so fast with so many different meat specialties that you have to turn the placard over every once in a while just in order to catch up. If you are enticed by one of their offerings, the server simply slices off a piece of meat from their skewer which you grab with your meat tongs and place on your plate. There is no menu because the offerings change every nite but seem totally limitless. Such enticements as garlic roasted top sirloin, Parmesan crusted roast pork loin, bacon wrapped filet mignon, marinated lamb chops, and smoked sausages topped my list, but the servers kept coming long after I was full and I finally had to turn my placard over for the last time.
Lest you think that red meat is a limited kind of offering, there is an almost equally endless hot bar, shown in my photos below, with all kinds of vegetables, salads, fish, cheeses, and sweets. I simply had no time for any diversion from the main subject.
Needless to say, this visit made a convert out of me, and I'll be back, even if I have to wait for one of my daughters to visit me again.
First time eating at this restaurant and I was thoroughly impressed with the selection of meats. The atmosphere was energetic and the salad bar was nice as well. I’ll definitely be back again in the near future.
My partner and I came to celebrate our engagement. We had just been given a gift card for free dinner for 2 from a promotion with Fogo at a hotel I work for. When we walked in, the hostess was rude and had an attitude from the second we walked in, probably in part due to our age or my partner’s tattoos. Regardless, we immediately felt unwelcome. I informed the hostess that we had the gift card, and she immediately started interrogating me about how I had gotten it & where the receipt was. Like I said, it was given as a promotion to hotel concierge. She called a coworker up who looked at the expiration date (12.31.18) and said it was invalid because it was 5 months after the expiration. I told her it was 2018 now so that doesn’t expire until the end of this year. She proceeded to leave with the card to ask her manager about it. She came back, told us it was fine, and then left. 5 minutes later the original hostess says “so do you want to be sat or not?” Mind you, we had arrived 15 minutes prior to our reservation. It’s also not our job to ask to be sat. I just found the entire exchange extremely uncomfortable, and made my fiancée and myself feel like crooks for using a gift card. Otherwise, the food was amazing and the servers were all fantastic.
We always go to this location but me and my wife were very disappoitment at the fact that we did saw that they had a large group about to be serve so we did ask before they got busier to give us lamb chops . We wait it and wait it and we did have people ask us if we need it anything and we did ask 7 people to bring that to us and it took a very long time. We did undertand they go busier so we try to enjoy our lunch. Later we decide to get dessert so we ask for the dessert menu. So guess what we never got to see the menu for dessert. At that point we did get very upset and ask for the check . We always try to go to this location for our special occasion but this time the experience was very bad .
Table was not ready after reservation had been made and even after calling 30 minutes before arrival to reconfirm.
Great food awesome service
This was our second visit to this location and was our last visit to this location. Service was absent - literally - had seek out wait staff on more than one occasion. Had to make multiple requests to get any attention, never got drinks refilled. Watched a waiter lift a table and separately two chairs (together - but separate from the table) over his head and weave through the restaurant full of people. This was just really not what we expected at all when the bill rises to $300+ for a party of four. Meats were great as usual and the meat gauchos were on their game but that isn’t enough to make up for the lack of any other service.
This is the second time I have had dinner at Fogo de Chao in Rosemont and it was as wonderful as I remember. We had a reservation and still had to wait 15 minutes, but once we started eating, it was worth the wait. The food at the "Market Table" is so fresh and varied. My adult daughter especially loves their choice of cheeses. My husband and I could not stop talking about the exquisite taste of the roasted vegetables. But the piece de resistance is the meat. The gauchos come around with the most tender, flavorful versions of chicken, beef, lamb, and pork; it is incredible. My husband's favorite was the House Steak and mine was the Garlic Beef, but all of the meats offered were incredibly tasty.
The cost of dining at Fogo de Chao is not cheap, so we will be saving our visits there for just special occasions, just like this last visit. But, again, while you are enjoying the food, you will feel it is worth every penny.
My first time as Fogo de Chao was beyond extraordinary ! The service is beyond amazing, the second me and my date walked in we were kindly greeted by the hostess who were so kind in taking us to our table right away even without a reservation. But did let us know that reservations are always recommend. She pulled out our chairs, introduced some of there cocktail options, which I would highly recommend the caipirinha. Such a tasty drink that really tops off the whole experience ! Our server come right to our table when we were seated and was just as amazing as the rest of the staff ! He explained to us how everything worked, made sure we were more than satisfied and made sure that we were enjoy our first time at Fogo de Chao ! Which really made the service great was there was such a personal touch to each employee, they truly cared about each customer and wanted to make sure that we were truly enjoying are time and not just acting like we were another customer. I cant not even put into words how amazing the food, the service and every employee was ! It is not the easiest finding a restaurant who has such great service as Fogo de Chao. I hope everyone has a chance to experience the delicious, savory meats, as well as, the amazing service ! I will most definitely be a returning customer ! This is a beautiful and lovely restaurant for any special occasion. Love love and love
A place to celebrate small events. The people are wonderful. The meal was spectacular.
Food selection was great. Wide variety although you have to wait a while for anything well done. Customer service was great.
I typically like dining here but the meat seemed unseasoned this time around which is very disappointing considering it’s not the cheapest place.
We’ve been going there for years. The food is still great but, the service is not as good as it used to be. After we got the table and got our salads We had to wait 20 min. For the first gaucho to come around to offer us meat. There was a point where we ran out of bread and believe it or not, it took them 23 min to get us more bread.
I totally get they are busy but, if they don’t have enough people to give good service.
They shouldn’t take so many tables at the same time.
The last three times we had dinner there, it was kind of disappointing.
The food was ok.
Good food, nice atmosphere. Food was a little salty and the better cuts of meat did not come around as often as the cheap cuts or chicken.
All of the staff were amazing and very accommodating!
Loved it great food!
Went to fogo with my wife and had a great time. The hosts were very friendly and attentive. We were sat down right away and started our journey to the extensive salad bar that they had to offer. I’m a big salad guy and made sure to select the perfect items! The heart of palms and the soup had to be my favorite and my wife also really enjoyed the traditional rice and Beans they had to offer as well! Once the meats start I was well prepared! A guaraná soda and a sparking water definitely did the trick! The picanha and lamb chops were my favorite so tender and full of flavor, nice seasoning from the attentive and skilled chefs. The music and ambiance had me going i felt the need to top my great experience with the famous molten lava cake! i had a great meal with my family and will definitely be coming back
I've been wanting to try this place for awhile so I made a reservation. When we got there we waited about 15 mins to get seated. It was towards the back in a tight space, it wasn't the best area. The servers and food were fast and pleasant. They really did a good job. The meats were delicious. I hardly went to the salad bar, just once since I was getting pretty full from the meats. You can get your parking validated, which I forgot to do, but that was fine. Overall, it was a nice experience and I would definitely return.
Poor service - everyone was on top of each other.
Awesome like always do not disappoint! We had a reservation for 8 and our table was ready, the service impeccable and what to say about the food. 100% it was a couples night and for our friends was their first time. they all loved it!
The occasion was for my son's birthday..
Perfect evening , the restaurant ambiance is absolutely gorgeous. All the food was delicious , they had a great selection of meats that were cooked to perfection. The salad bar had an awesome variety to choose from it included different salads, cheeses , fresh vegetables and lastly a hot bar. Finally our party enjoyed a bottle of wine they have over 200 bottles to choose from while we left the wine open to breathe we enjoyed a caipirinha that is their signature drink and it was really refreshing way to start our meal. Overall the service was spectacular very friendly staff that was there any time we needed anything. Will absolutely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. Can’t wait to come back thank you Fogo!
This is a fun dining experience if you're a meateater. The meat selection is great: we were offered top sirloin, flank steak, ribeye, the file, lamb chops, leg of lamb, chicken, chicken legs, several kinds of pork options.. and it just kept coming. The buffet of salads and hot and cold dishes was extensive and tempting. Everything but drinks was included in the fixed price.
The staff was attentive without being obtrusive. The waiters distribute a card that shows where on the steer the various beef cuts come from, which is interesting and printed in both Portuguese and English.
One particularly nice feature of this restaurant is the online promo offers that they send you via email. This restaurant is a great place to bring in friends and family to celebrate or business associates to close out the big deal! I had a great trip and loved the atmosphere and ambience of this luxury dinning location. Thank you Fogo for the great meal and shout out to the bartender that kept the wonderful caipirinhas coming! I will definitely take a trip back and recommend to all my friends!
everyone was very nice and the food was wonderful
Drinks are over priced and the service was not at all acceptable. I was entertaining a client and had a difficult time trying to get a server to attend to us. Drinks were full of ice and overpriced. Very disappointed
Had reservations at 6:30 and did not get seated till 7:15. Food was great but not if I have to wait 45min with a reservation .
Always good food and excellent service.
Amazing service and food!
This was my four year old sons’s choice for brunch and he picked perfect. The hostess are so friendly and knew exactly where to sit a family of five with three kids fast. The service is like no other, the entire staff catered to my children’s needs and went above and beyond to make them happy. My sister and I order some Brazilian inspired cocktails that came out as fast as we order them and they were made perfectly. The meat service was fast and came out hot and delicious every time. We started with the shrimp cocktail appetizer and my kids couldn’t get enough it was so good we order a second. Manager came by to make sure we were all happy and was so sweet he took his time to talk to my kids giving them all high fives. Great place for families.
Great Food & Service. I believe they should add more sides at the table besides just the delicious mash potatoes. Overall my group of 4 Love it. We would return.
