    We had a fantastic dinner here, the staff is very professional, remembers us, etc. Portland is a disaster area but parking is connected to Fogo and you don't have to see the streets at all. Fogo is the only reason we enter the city, and they never let us down.

    Other reviews told me I'd wait a while so I went early for my 6pm reservation. Was seated right away and feasted until I felt sick. So much great food I wish I could've eaten more 🥲 Everyone was so friendly even as I was a sweaty, grunting mess by the end. Make sure to get the picanha!

    We very clearly ordered glasses of the house Malbec. Waitress even repeated "house" to us. When bill came it turned out they poured us one that cost twice as much. Seems like a hard mistake to make and made me feel like we got ripped off.

    Went on Saturday night, the restaurant was packed! Tables are very close to each other. We were charged to refill a lemonade, so do expect to pay for each drink you order including WATER!!! Yes this place doesn’t have free water or free refills which was very very surprising for us. We were charges for water and water refills. Over all good experience, good food, although they are understaffed. Not sure I would go here again, would probably spend my money else where not expansive water.

    They ran out of the staples of the meal, beans & rice. We waited 30 minutes & had to ask at least 4 people to refill. Frankly I expected better service & for the price I expected food to be available in a timely manner. I probably will never return because of this.

    It takes forever to get the cuts that we prefer/love (Ribeye, Top Sirloin and Lamp chops). We asked the moment the servers came around but we didn’t get a ribeye until like 30mins into our dinner. I don’t understand why…

    Really gone downhill in recent years. Salad bar used to be fab, now it’s mid. Selection of meat has decreased with some of our favorites not being offered. Waitstaff and food quality, atmosphere has really taken a dive, not worth it any longer I’m afraid.

    I had to reinstate my reservation for this restaurant via OpenTable's customer assistance because Fogo de Chao CANCELELD my reservation AFTER we ate at their restaurant. I can only expect it was to nullify my ability to leave this review. A nail in the coffin of a terrible experience... Unfortunately we did not have a good time at Fogo de Chao. Knowing it would be a busy holiday we booked an earlier reservation time, only to be told it would be a 35 minute wait to be seated. It actually took them 60 minutes to seat us from the time of our reservation - with no apology for how long the wait was. Upon being seated it took 10 minutes to be asked for a drink order and another 20 minutes to receive the drinks. Our server told us this was because the restaurant had run out of glasses. The meats that were brought around for dinner were the same 5 or so offerings, none of which were the nicer cuts of meat, and requesting those meant waiting a long time and potentially never getting them delivered to the table. We spoke with the manager, Robert, at the end of our meal, to ask why reservations weren't honored. His reply, while honest, was confusing. He stated that Mother's Day is the busiest day of the year every year and that diners simply do not leave their tables after meals and "take advantage" of the service at FdC. Robert suggested we do not come on holidays or weekends to avoid not being seated for a specific reservation time. He also offered my partner a complimentary dessert to go as an apology and to give him 10 minutes for the dessert to be sent. After waiting 20 minutes for this complimentary dessert without it being delivered, we simply left without it. Incredibly disappointing that even the extensions of apology could not be completed in kind by this restaurant. And then they delete our reservation at nearly 11pm to avoid a poor review. Incredibly sad from start to finish.

    We don't typically go out to eat on holidays because we know it's a crazy day at a restaurant. An online ad lured me in and we booked a family favorite Fogo de Chao. What a mistake. First, even with a reservation, we were seated 50 minutes after our reservation time. The market table which is usually inviting and abundant, was seriously lacking. Even though these items can obviously be prepped and stored 'till needed, they were not kept filled and I'd say 30% of the space was not filled when we went up. When the restaurant charges MORE due to a holiday, expectations are to have at least the same dinning experience when paying less. Although we had a fairly early reservation, desserts were already sold out, which we found out after other desserts were brought to us. Meats were good as usual. Wait staff was doing what they could. Not nearly as professional as usual. We never knew who was really our server to ask for drinks. All in all. it left a poor taste in our mouth. Considering what we spent we'd probably go to a nice steak house next time, or try again in a few years, not on a holiday.

    We waited 60 minutes to be seated past our reservation time on Mother's day, we had to ask for water to be brought out to our party of six. The water was brought out 10 minutes after our party started eating. I had to find the manager to ask for drinks to be ordered and that took an additional 10 minutes. We had been eating spicy food for about 15 minutes before water was served. Not cool. We did not meet our server until we were getting ready for desert with means the little cheese balls and side dishes we were going to enjoy along with out meal from the beginning were brought out after we had a few servings of meat. I had to leave our table to seek different staff at least 4 times to get water, drinks, salt and pepper. Staff was friendly and helpful when asked so I really appreciated this. We have been guests about 5 times so far and this was very unusual for us to have such poor service. We are definitely coming back but we were really disappointed that this happened on mothers day for my wife and her mom. I really hope that management sees this message. We ended paying $465 plus for such poor service.

    I think they were just overwhelmed by the crowd on Mother’s Day and did not handle it well. Even with the warning that service would be slow it was very difficult to get any attention. They charged holiday rates of $66 per person but didn’t add anything special to the menu. They were also pushing expensive ala carte items without disclosing the price up front and then accidentally double charged us for one of them. They also automatically added a 20% tip that maybe felt a little under deserved. I would go back, but would not choose a holiday or busy time. Over $400 for 2 adults and 2 teenagers who barely ate anything.

    Was not notified 20% gratuity until about mid way thru the meal. Thankfully the server was working hard for her tip so it was well earned. The meat selection was slim. For dinner prices was expecting dinner selections. Definitely won’t be back on a “holiday” again

    This is the first time we’ve dined at this place in ten years. What a difference a decade makes. It used to be soooo good, a definite and memorable splurge for a special occasion. Now? There are a few positives outweighed by a few huge negatives. We had a reservation and checked in 3 minutes early, and were told they would call us when our table was ready. The lobby and bar area were full of people waiting, with the crowd spilling onto the sidewalk. We were finally seated 30 minutes later after I inquired and complained about the delay. After we were seated and our meal well underway, I noticed some parties who’d arrived at the same time as us being seated over an hour later. This is not acceptable. Their reservation system is clearly dysfunctional. Even at some of the most popular restaurants in Manhattan, I’ve never waited more than 5 minutes for a reserved table, so this long wait for a table here was puzzling. But as our dinner progressed, it became very clear why. They cannot turn their tables on the floor to match the reservations because they don’t bring the churrasco in a timely manner. We stayed about an hour longer than we stayed in the past, asking for and hoping to be served the variety of meats on their website. In reality, we were offered the best options only once, and only about half of the options at all. The website promises “continuous” table side service of churrasco, what we really got was intermittent and infrequent offers of a few things. We were offered water by the person who seated us. We never saw her again. We asked a second waiter to bring us water and some beverages and never saw him again either. We were finally brought our beverages after we asked a third waiter. I guess this place doesn’t assign a single waiter to a table, which also results in delays in being served. Some of the wait staff were very friendly and responsive, while some would simply tell us they would take care of our requests and never come back.

    Fogo is my go-to Brazilian steakhouse, especially for my birthday extravaganza! My bride and I opted for the Saturday brunch and we were not disappointed. We even learned a couple of new things. The food was amazing, as always. Delectable meats, amazing cheese bread, and the always impressive salad bar were highlights. But even better was the personal attention and care we received from our server, Julia. She was very engaging and went above and beyond to take care of us. We learned that certain meats are available by request only, so next time we will ask for them early in our visit, instead of waiting for them expectantly and then towards the end of our meal, when they haven't shown up, asking for them. By then there wasn't a lot of room left in our tummies, and we had to wait for the meats to be put on the grill and cook. To top off our meal, we receives a birthday dessert of our choice from the menu. WOW! (Thankful we have that extra dessert compartment inside!) Thank you Fogo staff - chefs, servers, hostesses, and especially Julia. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

    We attended a wine and wagyu event, which was hosted in the bar. There weren't enough tables for everyone, so we ended up at the bar. The bar service was great, but the food was slow to arrive. The food was lukewarm, but most had good flavor. The wine was delicious, and there was only one small slice each of the two wagyu beef options. Overall it was a good experience, but I think the next time we go, we will just enjoy the restaurant, with the yummy salad bar and the meat sweats. :)

    Had a 5:45 reservation and we weren’t seated until 6:30, normally I would not care but we had a show to catch at 7:30 and it made our meal very rushed. Didn’t receive the sides until we were pretty much almost done. Waitress pored water in a half drank sprite and then charged us for a new drink. They clearly too too many reservations for a busy night and we’re overbooked.

    Waited 40 minutes even though I made a reservation. Sirloin and chicken made seemed to be all they offer. Premium meats are not offered. I asked to try the fillet twice and never saw anyone. The buffet style salad and sides is not what I was expecting. We would never go back and would not recommend

    Only a handful of meat offerings, salad bar was under serviced, there was no bread, and the wait staff looked like extras in the rocky horror picture show. Expensive and Not a pleasant experience.

    The food that we were able to taste was very good. Unfortunately, we only were able to taste 6 of the variety of meats, because they never came around to our table, even after two hours of dining. Of the six, we had to ask for two of them. When we requested the other meats, we were told they would come, but they never did.

    We lunch here often, tempted by more meat than we think we can ever eat, but inevitably choosing their "Market Table," which is the best salad and soup bar in Portland without dispute. Ambiance is cool and sophisticated, music is just right, service is attentive and friendly. And if it's endless meat served table side that you want, this is the place to be. In fact, we're going to try it next week.

    My reservation was at 5:30pm. Meats for dinner were not ready, servers began to serve meats most-likey left over from lunch. I turned mot of them away since they were dried, tough and over cooked. The polenta sticks and fried bananas were also left over since they were cold and dried up. The brazilian beans container served at the salad bar was nearly empty and all dried up. How can they even think of serving this kind of food. I spent almost three hours there waiting for fresh meat to be served.

    We celebrated our 10th anniversary at the restaurant. We were seated quickly, the wait staff was very attentive, and fo oh d was great. It was a fun and interesting experience.
