Food was good as always. For there being a full staff and almost no one dining, our service was terrible. We had to ask multiple times for the bill, and then no one came when we were confused and didn’t understand their payment device.
The food was good and it was plentiful, but it was a little difficult to really enjoy dinner with the covid-19 issue going on. We were not allowed to add two people to our party even though we would be at the same table. I understand that the restaurant probably had limited servers, but I really did feel that it would have been fine to add two people to our party since there were not a lot of people at the restaurant.
Always good for food lovers
It was a good time, only downside was that they ran out of the sausage and we only were able to get a single round of that.
Overall it’s a great place. Wish they had more options for those that don’t like their steak dripping blood.
Fantastic service and the food, was of course, spot on!
Definitely not worth the cost. Meats were great but open salad bar was lacking and they were slow to seat us at our reservation time.
Having the meat continuously delivered to the table and sliced off the grilling skewer is definitely a great dining experience. The upscale salad, cold meats, cheese, soup, and fruit bar is also very nice. My favorites of the meal were the steak, lamb, and (surprisingly) the croutons - best I've had anywhere! You know you've got dedicated chefs when even the croutons are amazing.
Everything was great about this place. However, we did not get the meat we would have liked more of. Kept asking everyone that walked by us and they said they would send them over. After waiting for over an hour, we decided to leave. I love their Lime Aid, but very inconsistent in taste & flavor. The first glass was perfect, after that, it was either watered down or too bitter.
Some of the meats were very rare. Chicken was dry. Very tasty though. More medium needed.
Very sweet service staff very good food ! Drinks on our side as in caperina and Long Island weren’t that strong but the coconut drink was intense . Meats were great 👍🏻 probably not worth getting the Portland dining month option cuz you don’t get the premium meats but glad we got the full dining option 🙂🙂🙂 super good will be back again 😜
It was awesome only issue was that due to dining month our reservation was about 30 min late but food was great
We waited a half hour past our reservation time.
The waitress was great, but it took 2 hour’s to get full due to them passing us by or only having 1 serving left, also the bathrooms were trashed.
Normally we love it here , we will give another chance but very disappointed this time
Portland Dining month dinner. Lovely meal, delightful service.
For Portland Dining Month, it would be helpful to note that the restaurant restricts certain meat choices to diners. We didn't know about this restriction until we were seated. A lot of the gauchos just passed our table by, despite having our gmcards flipped to green. Our server was nice and despite being busy, was able to refill our drinks and our side dishes when needed.
We were there for Portland Dining Month. Made reservations with lots of times open. Parking convenient in attached garage.
Great experience, great staff! I tend to enjoy more low-key places better but it’s a great place for just about any occasion.
Always a great meal at Fogo de Chao. The service was excellent and the selection of meats was awesome. The salad bar was once again loaded with amazing choices and so many choices and variety. A non meat eater would totally enjoy the salad bar.
Can't wait to return soon!
Possibly, actually in my experience the best service I've received in a restaurant in Portland, compared only to Ring Side. Customer service was friendly, attentive and not intrusive. They didn't require to know their first name. Everyone that walked by our table provided something to make our evening enjoyable to spend time with a friend catching up. Food Heaven to say the least!
It was unclear what was included in the price or not. Server dropped of shrimp cocktail then I was billed over $20 for it. When I asked manager why I was getting the charge, his response was not all that helpful. The multiple servers are dropped off bread, mashed potatoes, etc. and it was never called out as an extra option with extra charge which is mislead. The manager was helpful in trying to make it right. I don't think I will go back.
Our first experience. Our daughter was back for spring break and it’s Portland dining month so we wanted to give it a go. Food was incredible! Definitely worth it. We will be back for sure!
Good customer service and food is excellent!
I have been here many times over the last 5 years but the last year has been so overly crowded. It means good for the business but for diners, you still have to stand around and wait for at least 15-30 minutes even you already reserved the table.
We felt that the first course of appetizers were grocery store quality. Additionally, it was super packed and none of the servers told us anything about the meats, and it was so loud that we could barely hear what the options were. Will not be going back.
As always, the food was incredible! My issue with this visit, we had a reservation at 8:45 PM and did not get our table until 9:30 PM. We went up and talked to the desk at 8:45, again at 9 PM and then again at 9:15 and finally got seated at 9:30. Not sure what the point of a reservation is when you get seated 45 minutes after your reservation time? If you have lots of time on your hands, it’s definitely worth it.
Portland dining month was 33 dollars a person which is great. The service was amazing. Good meh ok. Reminds ne of a Vegas buffet. Be warned, the corkage was more than the meal 36 dollars!!!
It is consistently an excellent place to dine at. The salad/appetizers bar is superb. The meats are ranging between good and fantastic and while you show GREEN — it keeps flowing. And they are masters in serving it to my liking at medium rare.
If you celebrate something they will offer a free desert too.
Extremely overpriced for what it is. Made a reservation in advance? It doesn’t matter, expect to wait for your table up to an hour anyway.
As our first and most likely last visit here, I would not recommend this to a friend or stranger. The meats were very salty and tough and there was an apparent quantity over quality business model in both the food and the tightly packed space; not to mention the constant peddling of “table side” drinks, that were pre made and poured out of large container. Portland has a plethora of great dining experiences and options and we will be recommending any of those over Fogo de Chao.
Food was great and service was excellent. Had a really good time.
Wonderful food. Great value during Portland dining month. Some hovering from staff.
Although I have been there 2 years ago it was different then. Less rushed and crowded. I returned to find some changes. There were more people with families and the noise level changed. The salad bar was great and very filling. I really didn't need any steak or chicken after that. There were 4 waiters that came upon us at once with different steaks to put on our plates. It was overwhelming. I had so much leftover that went to waste because I couldn't take it home (their policy). Do not go on a weekend. I will not return because of their policy with the waste of food and way too much to eat. I did feel rushed.
Food was perfect. Totally awesome experience and my wife and I were treated with fantastic service. Definitely return.
We did have to wait beyond our reservation time. Seemed very very unorganized at entrance. Once we got through the mess of getting thru host stand. The experience was much better
So damn good it hurt. From the drinks to the never ending food. This was a great experience!!!
We had to remind the waitress for a cocktail we ordered and never came. The food from the grill was on the salty side. We went for the Portland food festival and some of the items were of course not available to us, but that didn't stop them to try charging us the full price. Overall okay but not impressed to go again.
Interesting and exciting, but take care not to overdo!
The food choices were excellent as well as the food and drink. First time here and not the last. The service also was excellent. Our waiter Nico was fun and informative!
Bruh night out and Portland dining month caught the eye!
Amazing food and experience and great value for Portland Fining month.
