I've been to Fogo before and remember enjoying it. This time, my mother took myself, my husband, and our three kids there to celebrate a couple of birthdays. At the beginning of the meal, they asked if we were celebrating and were then told we would get a free birthday dessert, but, no one remembered that at all and to be honest, I didn't want to ask. To me, that's part of being a good server. We also had a couple of instances where part of the table was sitting waiting on clean plates and no one was noticing this or offering up fresh plates at all - just a much longer wait than it should have been. Finally, I noticed this time that the meats didn't seem as high of quality. We had several pieces of meat there were exceptionally fatty which I personally don't care for at all. So overall, I was just disappointed in both the service and the food especially given how much we spent.
It is saddening to hear you left disappointed, especially after coming in to celebrate your family's birthdays. Such an experience should never be experienced, and we hope you allow us the chance to make this right with a future visit.
Fogo de Chao was a dining experience to be enjoyed, especially if you are a meat lover.
My experience was excellent
We went for the full rodizio and didn't see many come out. It was pretty disappointing. I asked for the lamb 3x and when it finally came out it was overcooked. The flavoring was still amazing though. Other things that never went out were filet mignon, ribs and the seasonal cut. We saw the linguica once but we were done at that point. I guess they were trying to save a buck. 🤷🏻♀️. We thought about asking for the filet since it is my husband's favorite but he didn't want to have to wait. Food tasted great but it was not the same experience I remember having at other Fogos (Chicago, DC and Scottsdale). We had been here before but during restaurant week. I expected them to be skimpy then but not this time. Sad.
We are saddened to hear this, Andrea, as no guest should have to repeatedly ask for their choice of cuts. We'd like to work towards your satisfaction, as we'd love to be on the same level as the other locations you are fond of. Kindly give us a call at 972.361.6256. Warm Regards.
Love this place second time going and it was a great service
Good service — but the meat was either over cooked, undercooked, or poorly seasoned. Cold buffet and meat not worth the price. Extremely busy on a Saturday night.
It's imperative that your meal always hits the spot, so we're sorry to hear we fell short. We hope you decide to visit us in the future, as we'd love to earn your 5-stars.
Absolutely wonderful. The synergy between front and back of house was brilliant. Came for my birthday, and absolutely will be returning.
Phenomenal meats, salad bar and desserts. Definitely a great place to celebrate life events and share memories with good friends and loved ones.
Great service; had a reservation and was seated with minutes of it! Monica was great helpful and friendly. Food is worth it so good and anything you want great service overall.
Amazing experience. Worth doing the Waygu experience.
Husband birthday dinner.
We had to wait even though we had reservations
The salad bar had no cut cured meats or cheeses and a lot of the dishes were empty the salad bar was poorly stocked.
We had to ask several time for meat the table side meat service was very slow and poor. We did not get all of the meats offered to us at our table maybe five different kinds of meat. We ended up seeing more meat come out as we were leaving that we didn’t get offered at our table.
Very disappointed with the meat service.
We had a good meal at Fogo de Chao. We love the large array of food you can try in one sitting. It took a little too long to get our orders taken and a very long time to receive our cocktails.
It was a great 1st experience and we will definitely be back
We had an 8pm reservation, but didn't get to our table until at least 8:45 or 9. Once there, we chose the standard meal, which includes the various meat selections that come to your table when your card is flipped to the green side. The process is confusing. We saw several meats come near our table (one table away), then go away without coming to us. It took about an hour for the one meat we wanted the most to get to us, even though we watched it go by us at least three times before then. The only reason we got it was because our waitress came to our table to see what else we wanted. She had to call for the person carrying that particular meat to come to our table. The meat servers must have some path they're required to take, but to a non-employee, the path looks completely random and doesn't cover every table. It would great if you could request specific meats right away so that they know to come to your table while you're still hungry.
I was very, very disappointed in our experience this past Saturday. I have been here several times and I felt like the experience and food have declined significantly. We were over 30 min behind on our reservation time. During this time we sat at the bar and were never asked by the bar tenders if we would like a drink. Once we made it to our tables, I attempted to order wine and both I ordered were out of stock (these were basic Rieslings and Rose). In addition, the market table was out of several items (cheese, meats, etc.). Lastly, we didn't receive all of the meats and most of the meats that we did get did not match the cuts we requested (medium was either well done or extremely rare), the sausages were burnt and impossible to eat.
I will not be returning or recommending this anytime in the near or distant future. Very, very disappointed.
Sat us 30 minutes after our reservation time. Took over 15 minutes just to get a glass of water. It was like pulling teeth to get the meats to our table - there were several we didn't get to try because we just got tired of asking and waiting, there were multiple items on the market table that were never replenished, tried to get fejoda and rice twice - both times it was empty. My boyfriend ate dinner with his coat on because there was a horrible draft at our table. Didn't even attempt to ask if we could move since it took so long to get a table in the first place. He ordered a cup of coffee to warm up and he got it over 20 minutes later. They sure were fast to bring the check though!
Excited to try this restaurant for a long time now. Waited 25 minutes past reservation I set 3 weeks in advance. Sat down and a nice server helped us quickly. Sides bar was delicious but sparse, had to keep returning to get a couple things that were out. Meat was very sparse. Received first serving about 15 min after flipping our token over. Never saw filet or ribeye, even after server requested it at least twice on her headset. So after waiting 30-40 min and passing up different duplicate meats, we started just accepting whatever came. A million service staff everywhere making it feel chaotic. I probably ate 5 oz of meat. My husband probably received a full steaks worth, maybe 12-15 ounces but no ribeye or filet.
Food was excellent, what we did receive. Just expect for the cost to have a better service (of food) experience.
Made a reservation a week before for 6:15pm. Was told they were running 20 mins late.. we didn’t get seated til 7pm. There was dried white stuff all on the wall we were sitting next to. We ordered waters and after 24 mins I had to go look for the waitress to request the waters again. (That was a first) then all the servers for 30 minutes kept passing us with all the meat. I had to literally flag one down to get any meat. Mind you this is $53 a person. And when I complained to the manager as we left he didn’t apologize or anything. Just gave me a coupon for a buy a meal get the other free next time... I politely gave it to the table next to us. THIS WAS OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! I have never talked to a manager in an establishment before hand in my life. I will be telling everyone and anyone NOT to go here ever.
Waited over30 minutes before being seated. Was on time for my reservation
Dirty furniture, no silverware, wobbly table, passed over when chip was green. Over all wouldn’t have paid more than 50 total for the meal. Albeit, service was good and so was the dessert which was a far cry from what other individuals have stated about the restaurant. Wouldn’t go back again. Would rather get out meal and enjoy a good quiet evening over trying weave through the crowded tables and only experiencing bits and pieces of their food. Have had a better experiences at a mall food court.
Usually have a better time at FdC, unfortunately this time was not one of those. We had reservations and we're seated over half an hour late. It took way too long to get service for even simple beverages. Bread we asked for a few different times finally came out at the tail end of the meal as we were getting fed up. Meats being brought out rarely made it to our table where usually we had to turn them away. The big Market bar was chronically empty of most items. Not sure if they way over booked the place or were just over seating walk in, but this was not a good experience for the hefty price paid for the meal
I was great and special the chocolate cake with ice cream
To be fair the food was amazing, really exceeded my expectations, the food service is fast and efficient. But we had to wait to get seated almost and hour after my reservation. I understand that it was valentines day, but and hour wait is a bit much, especially when you’re told that its only can be 20 mins wait.
Food was amazing...and our waitress was great considering how busy it was. But the people who were checking us in confirmed our phone number and said they would text us when our table was ready and that they were running a little behind. Our reservation was set for 9:30 and at about 10:15 I asked if we were close to sitting down. The person at the front of the house said they had messaged us 3 different times. Yet no messages had been sent to our phones. He then told me to wait in a certain spot and proceeded to sit about 10 more people. At this point he said that if we didn’t get the message we couldn’t be seated. Well I asked what number they had sent the message to because I showed him both of our phones, and they had messaged the wrong number even after they confirmed our number twice...upon checking in and when I asked about how much longer the wait was.So we didn’t get sat at our table until about 10:30. Other than that everything else was great and the rest of the staff was super nice
We were seated approximately 25 minutes after our reservation time. The only meats offered to us repeatedly were top sirloin and bottom sirloin. We had to ask our server to please have some variety of meats come by but still had no luck. We never did get the house special and when they brought the filet finally, it was burnt and dry. We paid $150 for an extremely disappointing meal. We won’t be going back to Foga.
We went here for Valentine's Day. They missed our reservation by over 30 minutes. It was obvious they overbooked that night. They ran out of various items, service was extremely slow. The workers looked angry and wasn't very friendly. This was our first time here. I was definitely not impressed. Nothing made me want to return here. Several meats was actually dried out. I hope it's not always like this. I definitely give them an "F" grade that night. What a disaster for $150. We should have went to Bucca Di Beppos next door and saved a hundred dollars.
Everything was amazing, only complaint was the wait time after my reservation
This was our 7th year going to Fogo for Valentine's Day. Lack of valet on a holiday was appalling, the 15 minute wait turned into 45 minutes, the prices had increased and no bounce back card. The only good things I have to say are the bartenders were fantastic and our server was delightful. But where we were seated by the kitchen, it took 20 minutes to get any food after we had out plates. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Starting a new tradition next year.
Had reservations for 630. Checked in and was told it would be 15 minutes. At the end, we didn’t actually get seated until 710.
It was Valentine's day so very busy but overall I would say it was a very nice experience
Dinner was wonderful. I'm doing weight watchers so I was nervous about what I was going to choose. They made it easy with the veggies....they were awesome!!!! Salmon was phenomenal. Maybe consider adding a shrimp option as a main dish to the menu but not a deal breaker :)
It is always been a good experience!! My family and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner!!
I always requeste the grilled cheese , it is so good!!!
I never recieved my drink until I was ready to leave. Not sure if I got charges for it or not. Just wasn't my cup of tea. Won't be back
First time going. Me and my girlfriend went and had an amazing experience.
I've been to Fogo so many times I can't remember. Even on the busiest days/nights/weekends there are always several gauchos running around, servers with smiles, and the buffet never with an empty platter. Over the past few years some of the attentiveness to customers has slightly declined, but the food is top quality, so I've ignored it. Even though yesterday's lunch was on Valentine's and the usual crowd was replaced by romantic newbies, I still expected the same service - not the case. The servers seemed on edge (except for the very friendly hostess). I had to ask twice for my dirty plates to be taken away (that's NEVER happened). There were 3 gauchos for a filled restaurant. We were in the corner close to the front, so they rarely made it passed the middle of the room before having to go back. But instead of starting were they left off they would go back to the start! I had to tell the server to send them over since others around us were also patiently waiting with empty plates. The meat: They had all types of chicken and pork. Lots of it. I like their chicken and pork, but let's face it, I can get chicken and pork at home anytime. We're there for the beef and lamb. That's why we pay a lot of money for this buffet. Yesterday the beef and lamb was so far and few between, it seemed suspiciously chintzy. We had to keep asking for it. But of course during the few times the gauchos had beef or lamb, it took forever make it to our table. The buffet: I love the buffet. Sometimes for lunch I'll only eat on the buffet. From the start the food already looked sloppy; uneven cuts of meat, cheeses thrown half haphazardly together, and some of the plates had bits of food stuck on them. By my second trip there were already empty platters (again this NEVER happens). What's going on Fogo? Was management not there? Were you not expecting Valentine's Day to be on February 14th? I'm disappointed and -with a heavy heart- won't be coming back for a long time.
Our server was great, made a great wine recommendation and was very attentive - actual food coming out was slow at first but it appeared as though the servers/managers saw that and addressed it, after which time we didn't have any issues.
Great food and service.
I had heard about this place for years and how it was one of the best Brazilian steak houses in America. I was disappointed. Most of the meat we were served was very dry. We did go later in the evening when it wasn’t busy, so maybe that was the problem. The salad bar was okay, but the Pao de Queijo was not like Brazil at all.
Food was slow, portions of meats cut in half since last visit, most spits of food were cold, not many choices were offered in the line of meat that was ordered. After we finished our meal, they tried to bring the side entrees that are served with the full meal.
