love coming to this place. always a good experience.
When we were there it was loud. We had a server come by to offer my wife another carving of meat and she said yes; however, the server never returned. When we left the restaurant, my wife said she would not like to eat there again. I agreed, it was not a great experience for us, but, in fairness, we prefer a more quiet relaxed atmosphere.
All good will recommend and visit again
Menu shows salad bar at $15 but was double. Caipirinha was $8 but got charged double and was a birthday celebration but different from other restaurants they didn’t care. Not going back for sure! There are better Brazilian steakhouse out there, like Agora for exemple.
We truly care to deliver wonderful birthday experiences, so we're sorry you feel this way. We'd hate for you to go elsewhere, so if you are willing, visit us in the future.
Came for the first time for a birthday and it was a lovely experience! They were very understanding that the rest of our party was late but the food was delicious the experience is worth the price! Can’t wait to come again!
Excellent service
Thanks for this 5-star review! We hope to have you back in soon.
The up-selling is a bit over the top with waiters coming by the table with trays of shrimp cocktails several times., the whiskey cart and the constant push to order additional items off the menu
Food was good as was the service. The salad bar setup was a little awkward due to COVID.
It’s always a pleasant experience eating at Fogo de Chao
This was a great spot to indulge your meat-a-saurus appetite! We selected the market option which includes a bar with unlimited salads and chilled sides as well as a continuous flow of meat cut custom for you at the table. In addition to the cold sides, they delivered some mashed potatoes and some bread to our table. Everything was delicious and the service continuous since they had all the people coming with the different meat options. I would highly recommend for a special occasion or if you are hungry!
Good food, don’t really bring the premium cuts often but when they do it’s awesome.
Very good food and great service. They had sanitizer and plastic gloves to use at the buffet area yet some people ignored them which was a little frustrating. They should have someone serving instead of allowing people to serve themselves during these COVID times.
Food was mediocre at best. Not a good value having spent $200 for dinner. Meat wasn’t very flavorful and was generally tough. Not at all the experience I recalled from previous visits to location near SNA airport.
Your meal should always be spectacular, Elbert, so it's disappointing to hear that we let you down. We'd love to deliver you the experience you know and love, so visit us down the line.
Great cuts of meat , a bit salty but overall very good quality .
It was a lovely Easter dinner.
Super fabulous server wonderful Easter experience.
Highly recommend! The food was amazing! The service was excellent too!
Great food. Great service. Great selection at the salad bar (non meat) and great selection of meats. If there was one change I would make, it would be add fish similar to what they do, as add-on, but at a lower price.
Sunday Easter Brunch - Had 11AM reservations for 2 and was seated within a few minutes of checking in. Holiday Brunch is full-price (dinner) price all-day. The brunch hours were still brunchy selections that includes an omelette creation station + all-day happy hour (if you consider that worth the up-charge); otherwise, idk how this compared to proper dinner hours with the same $$.
Our server was pleasant; however, we would have liked if he checked in with us more often as there were a couple occasions where we made special meat requests through other servers/staff.
Market Table is open for self-service again! They keep a hand sanitizer and a box of food service gloves with instructions to guests to please utilize them.
Great place for big eaters! They have the buffet with all the sides and the guys come around with skewers of meat non-stop! Dinner menu for all you can eat is around $60 but definitely worth it! Great service and the staff is super attentive. Capped off the meal with a nice caipirinha, ok two caipirinha to wash all the food down, it was just what I needed! Overall great experience!
Amazing variety of meat and great customer service
Simply perfect!
First time at a Brazilian steak house and it absolutely blew my mind. We were lucky that the market table opened up recently and I was blown away by the selection; grabbed plenty of veggies, the waffles tasted amazing, and the tomato was top notch as well. Wish I had taken it easy in that area so I could enjoy more cuts of meat, but couldn’t resist. As for the meat, the ribeye, lamb, and top sirloin were my winners that day, and I appreciate how quickly the meat was coming out. Would definitely go again; Fogo set the bar high.
Our waitress Bo was very attentive
The food was great! Gauchos serving the meat were also very attentive. We had a great time!
This was our first time here and the food was good, It was wonderful to be able to have indoor dining again and a very special treat to serve ourselves at the salad and cheese and charcuterie bar. I didn't care too much for the meats brought to the table as they were a little dry but there are other things on the menu that I would try next time. My dining companion was brought the wrong entree but they apologized and offered to change it and when we said it was okay they gave us a free dessert. Very nice place and we will go back.
Not a bad location. Food was great, ambience was nice.
First time here with my husband, had been excited about going there for so long. The customer service was not what I expected. I was disappointed in the way they presented the menu to us. I couldn't decide what I wanted to have besides the Market Table and kept being asked when long and behold the waiter asks me "you do eat meat right" after that I just asked for the chicken breast from the Select Menu. They kept pushing me to get the "FOGO EXPERIENCE" which I was clear in stating I did not want. They brought the mashed potatoes in the middle of the meal and never brought the polenta and plantains until I asked at the end of the meal. The waiter said" oh, I never brought them?" We waited 20 minutes for my husband to get a piece of filet mignon well done. I asked the waiter if I could please take my chicken since I only took two bites out of it $32, he said you're not allowed, but let me check.... he never came back to answer me, someone came and took it away. As I exit the restaurant I hear a waiter say his table is rocking it! Because they are ordering a lot of drinks, well at least we ordered four drinks and I did tip them. No attention to detail or follow through.
We're truly disappointed to read that our team delivered you such an inattentive experience, Mona. Our guests deserve a wonderful dining experience, so we hope you award us another chance to earn your satisfaction.
It’s was ok but I think from what I’ve heard vs how my first experience was definitely think it’s over hyped ... especially because half the meat I got was basically tar tar I’m not saying it has to be well done but medium would suffice
Took awhile to get different types of meat. When we did get meat it was the middle and rare. Ended up paying $130 for the salad bar.
Our team should be consistently circulating around with our variety of cuts, so it's concerning to learn we kept you waiting. We hope to make this up to you in the future.
Amazing place great food and drinks ! Cant ever go wrong going here.
Great Retaurant, will be back again with family and friends..
Traditional great quality Brazilian style steakhouse. Excellent meats, cold buffet and side dishes. Nice and comfortable, great location, appropriate for any occasion.
Birthday celebration
We love celebrating birthdays, Ria, so it's disheartening to see we fell short of your complete satisfaction. Please visit us in the future, as we'd love to make your visit memorable.
Everything was amazing except that the take long to bring you the meat.
We were seating on the outskirts outside of the restaurant. High noise and a lot of distractions from the outside foot traffic. Mind you, there was plenty of seats inside and we had scheduled a reservation a week in advance. Regardless, the food was excellent and the service was very accommodating.
Great to go out after a long Time, Great service, and good deals on alcohol but the food was Meh.
I dunno if it’s the Irvine location or Fogo De Chao I general(my last visit was in the one in Manhattan) but you can beat better Brazilian bbq in other places in OC
We appreciate you visiting and sharing that you received great service, but we're saddened that you didn't love the food you received. It's our sincere hope that you'll consider giving us another chance to thoroughly impress you in the future.
It was my boyfriend’s 26th birthday and his first time at Fogo de Chao, overall it was a good experience. We did have a 5:15pm reservation, I am 37 weeks pregnant and upon arrival at around 5:11pm, the hostess told me it would be a 10 minute wait for our table... I would’ve wished that I was standing outside for over 30 minutes waiting for a table. I think they need to have some sort of accommodations for long waits, even with a reservation, some sort of bench or chair offered would have been nice. I don’t think I was seated until around 6:00pm. I was shaking because I was so hungry, especially at 37 weeks pregnant. But thankfully there was food ready for me to eat at their market/salad bar. I ordered shrimp cocktail for my appetizer and we ended up getting the Full Experience meat service. I also loved their cheese bread although after the first basket, it took another hour to get a fresh cheese bread basket. Unfortunately we ordered their caramelized bananas, asked about them 5-6 times to different servers and we never received the order. We did enjoy the complimentary creme brulee for my boyfriend’s birthday. Over all we would definitely come back, but I would probably bring a snack and a chair next time. It’s not easy being 37 weeks pregnant, and standing outside for over 30 minutes
I love, love, love Fogo. Im regular at the Irvine and LA location, I don’t enjoy the Beverly Hills location so I don’t frequent that location. And I’m a regular at the location in Minneapolis, MN.
I completely understand that indoor dining just reopened but I dined here twice while outdoor dining was allowed and the market table was being served by servers.
Today’s experience was horrible, I made reservations on open table as always. I checked in to my reservations at 2:02pm and waited 20 mins to be seated, typically i get seated within 5-10 mins with reservations.
We got seated on the patio, which I preferred because everyone that was seated inside the restaurant looked squeezed into the dining area surrounding the market table. Walking into the restaurant to get the market table items, it seemed stuffy so I was much, much happier that we were seated outdoors.
Our server was Bo (shown on our receipt), she seemed new, inexperienced and overwhelmed. We had to ask for our sides, refills, didn’t interact much with our server, we had to get her attention many times, the card reader wasn’t reading and we kept having to ask for assistance until we finally just got a paper receipt printed.
This is one of my favorite restaurants but today’s service seemed just unorganized. We had a toddler with us and all that was brought for her was silverware, we had to ask for a plate and we didn’t even get clean plates. I feel awful for writing this review when I know I’ve written good reviews. We had to ask for a high chair when we got seated.
It was frustrating today, we asked for the dessert menu and it never came. I had a coupon, and she wrote the code down but wrote it down wrong ... I mean, how was it written down wrong when I expanded the numbers. There was so many missed selling points our server missed. Was never told about the brunch menu, but I read it in my emails when it was sent to me.
The food was amazing as always but service with our server wasn’t good.
It is disappointing to hear we didn't live up to you expectations, as we always want to deliver you the service that you know and love. We look forward to making this right in the future.
Meats were great as always. I also love the cheese bread! Omelettes need more ingredient options. Management needs to re-think the restaurant’s Covid-related logistics for getting in and out the omelette station/salad bar. The line was very long! We wasted too much time in line and also waiting for our omelettes... until a server finally offered to bring them over to our table. We didn’t have the best experience, therefore the 3 stars, but we would like to go back when better logistics are put in place.
Yayi, we appreciate your feedback, as our team welcomes any suggestions for improvements. We look forward to your next visit, as we know we can earn your complete satisfaction.
Celebrates my birthday. Great place to eat. I am definitely coming back. Their meats were great and flavorful but what really will have me coming back is the strawberry cheesecake! DELICIOUS! Better than Cheesecake factory. Definitely want more! Service was 5 stars and our waiter Ivan was super friendly.
