    We went for my mother in laws birthday. The service was soooo bad. We saw our server maybe 3 times. Once we asked to see dessert menu , It took 20 minutes to get the dessert menu. Once we ordered dessert. (2 tres leches cakes and 1 espresso martini) 30 minutes passed and the server was like oh desserts coming. I asked if the martini would be soon , he said yes. It never , ever came. After another 20 minutes , It got to a point we asked a hostess to cancel our desserts and martinis and just get the check. My mother in law was over It by this time and ready to leave. A random server came over to help us with our check. Where we were over charged an extra meal (we had 3 adults and 1 - 5 year old/ we were told 5 year old was free). It had all the items we didn’t receive on It as well. After we paid, we left and my mother in law said she’ll never be coming back to this disaster of a place. the service turned a birthday dinner into a terrible time. Thanks fogo for the disappointing time. Too much money spent for the horrible dinner service.

    It took forever to get our table even with a reservation and then we got sat in Egypt so we often got forgotten about. We got the $44 special and the food runner lady made us feel like second class citizens because of it. It took almost 30 minutes just for my husband to get his iced tea. It was a really odd experience. The market table or salad bar thing was really unimpressive.

    Waiter left us hanging had to go run around to find someone to get us the bill. Also barely checked in on the table during the night. Wanted to order drinks and desserts but he was never there. Pretty sad went a year prior and it was great.

    They take you in 30-40 minutes late. They say it will be 20 minutes but they mean 1 hour from your check in. This is all having a reservation. The food is fabulous but it is upsetting that they don’t honor their word. They don’t even put out seats for waiting.

    The food is not worth the price. The meats (steaks, lambs, chicken, etc) took quite long. The beef rib never come to our table at all despite we asked the waitress. The chicken was dry, the some of the steak tasted bland. We will not go back.

    We had a pretty terrible experience here, and did not get a chance to eat any meat. I hope it was just an off night for the host staff. We were celebrating a birthday before a movie but unfortunately we did not get to eat much before having to leave to make our movie. We waited 30 minutes to be seated despite having a reservation booked well in advance. Once we were seated, despite being clear that we were celebrating a special occasion, we noticed we had been seated in a “party room” with a very large party (30+ people) that was at the dessert stage. Our server was great but because we were near the large party that had completed their meal, we waited 20 minutes and still had no meat served to us. Realizing that we wouldn’t be able to eat much meat before having to leave for our movie, we asked to just pay for our buffet plates and leave. Our server was very apologetic but it was a really awful experience and we aren’t likely to be back to this location.

    We love Fogo but we were a party of 7 shoved in to a corner where we were limited on getting up to go to the salad bar and our reservation was at 7, and we got seated at 7:30.

    Just wow! What a perfect night! Celebrating a birthday which they made it so perfect to want to do it again for any occasion! Service was over the top!     Normally we have a pretty good experience here but our brunch yesterday was terrible! Incredibly and painfully slow service. Our brunch took over 3.5 hours and it's basically a buffet/self serve! How is that possible?! No meats came to our table and we repeatedly had to ask. We always had empty water glasses, the brunch items never came and then when we asked again and again we told that brunch was "over". A manager finally came over and said he'd give gree dessert but we were celebrating 2 birthdays so dessert should've been free anyway! And the meat itself was not as good as normal. Tough and the Temps were never right that we asked for. Never had potatoes or bread etc refilled and then took forever to pay and get out, after we got our free dessert that took over 15 minutes to get. We so so many tables come and go and we were trapped. Very disappointing experience and might not go back.

    First time here and it was a terrific experience. The staff was great and the food was exceptional. It was nonstop meat tasting as they would bring skewers of meat to your table and carve a bit off for you. More meat of a different variety would arrive every few minutes. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would visit again.

    We made a reservation because they had the Best of Brazil promotion going on. I didn’t know we had to tell them we were there for that and the waiter only asked if we were there for the full experience. They charged us the full price. We disputed and they gave us the promo price. Servers should mention all promos to the customer so us customers aren’t confused. Food still superb!

    Alright, folks, gather 'round because I'm about to give you the lowdown on Fogo de Chau at the Irvine Spectrum. First off, let's talk logistics. It's conveniently perched at the Irvine Spectrum, close to a parking garage that offers valet service for a reasonable $10. Nice touch if you ask me, especially when you're dressed up for a meaty adventure. Now, let's talk about the staff. These folks are hired for one thing: making you feel like a dining VIP. They're all about providing that luxurious experience from start to finish, and it shows. But here's a little heads-up - Fogo de Chau can get packed, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. So, the waiting area might have you standing shoulder to shoulder with other eager carnivores. It's not the best first impression, I admit, but trust me, once you're seated, things take a delightful turn. The star of the show here is, without a doubt, the fire-roasted meat. It comes at you fast and furious, and it doesn't stop until you say so. My tip? Ask for a bit of everything and keep a list. You'll want to come back, and you'll want to remember your favorites because, truth be told, not every cut is worth over-indulging on. Now, when I hit up Fogo de Chau, I go all-in for the full experience. That means a 3/4 plate from the central bar, loaded up with cheeses, peppers, and whatever seasonal choices tickle my fancy at the moment. The beans and rice, standard fare, nothing to write home about. But here's a pro tip: grab a small serving of beans, sprinkle on their brown-colored spice (I really should know the name of it, but it looks like brown sugar), and top it off with a piece or two of their candied bacon. Boom, you've got yourself a delicious treat. Let's not forget about the wine. Their selection is decent, but if you're a wine aficionado, you might want to bring your own. Corkage fee?     The waitress dropped a piece of steak on my dad’s lap & onto the floor when cutting. She did not apologize nor did she even think she made a mistake. This is a fairly upscale restaurant, we understand accidents do happen. But “I’m sorry” goes a long way.

    I do not understand why certain tables were getting more meat served than our table. We had three people being served the All Experience menu item and it would have been cheaper to get the best steak available that served four people we paid over $260 and we barely ate any meat. Nobody ever checked in on us, the waitress rarely showed up and we were totally unhappy

    Got to the location and checked in, I had to wait another 30 minutes just to get our table even though I made a reservation. After being seated, nobody came to serve us or inform us about the menu or special going on for that day. It took them another 30 minutes to get a waiter to serve us and get us settled. The meats that were served that day were very disappointing as most them were dry, & bland. Some meats were overcooked and some were undercooked to the point where they were still raw. I was absolutely disappointed and had some high expectations as some of my friends told me this establishment was a recommendation to consider trying. After this experience, I will not be returning at all.

    I’ve been going to Fogo de Chao in NYC for more than 15 years and I was excited to try their Irvine location. We were seated at a table for two near the window in the main dining area. It was a Friday night and extremely crowded. The salad bar/hors d’œuvres area was so busy, people were stepping all over each other. The waiter/waitress service was good. All servers were friendly and nice. However, the meat service was very poor. There was no obvious pattern of meat service to the tables. We watched meat being delivered to the large tables in the center and they would pass our table as well as the two-top table next to us. In my years of going to Fogo de Chao, never has my plate been completely empty. There’s always so much meat on my plate. Not this time. There was approximately one slice of meat served every 10 minutes. No one ever offered us a clean plate, which is customary of any churrascaria. My wife and I each had roughly 8 slices of meat due to inadequate meat service/servers/serice patterns. After an hour and 45 minutes, we left disappointed and hungry to say the least.

    We’ve been dining at this restaurant for years. We were here Friday night to celebrate a family members birthday. We were seated in the main dining room right next to the salad/hors d’euvres bar. The restaurant was very busy. Our waitress, Ashlynn, was fantastic! She was so nice and friendly. Sadly, I cannot say the same about the meat service. The meat servers barely stopped at our table and we were seated in a very busy area on the main path that the servers need to use to get to other tables. I can’t tell you how many servers passed us by. Even the hostess noticed that we were not being served. We sat for so long while barely receiving any meat. We ended up leaving hungry because we were tired of sitting there (2 hours). Way too expensive for the amount of meat we received. The restaurant’s strategy may be to save money by not serving meat to guests so they fill up on inexpensive salad bar items. Will most likely not dine here again.

    The salad bar was missing a few dishes and missing all the oils, vinegars and hot sauces. I missed the watermelon salad dish and pineapples. Not sure why it was missing. Also, the beef was either under cooked or over cooked. Not a great location. El Segundo is much better.

    It was my first time there. We were seated at 8:35 the server took 20 min to even acknowledge that we were there she took our drink order and another 15 minutes to get our drinks and our hot sides for our dinner . The meat people walked by us couple times and they skipped our table even do we had our medallion visible . Over all the service was horrible the food was average. I will definitely will not go back.

    We'd been to Galpao Gaucho in the past, so we expected as much or better from Fogo. We were very disappointed. The quality of the meat was noticeably lower, most of the meat had NO seasoning on it whatsoever (not even salt), & the service was SLOW. We had to repeatedly remind servers about which selections we were missing, while they over-served the cheapest meat. We were never served any of the lamb. Our server wasn't very attentive, nor was she helpful. She missed many opportunities to upsell at our table due to the fact that she was nowhere to be found. I suppose she was satisfied with having sold us the most expensive meal & then never checking on us again to see if we got what we paid for. WE DIDN'T GET WHAT WE PAID FOR. Fogo pales in comparison to Galpao on every, single level. It was our first AND last time at Fogo. I wouldn't recommend Fogo to my worst enemy.

    My 8 year old son and I went here for dinner tonight. We Had a reservation for 8, checked in at 755, was told it would be a 5-10 minute wait. After several other guests that arrived after us were seated, I made a comment to the hostess who said the table was being cleaned and we were next to be seated. At around 830, she brought us to a table that was right in front of us by the bar and had been open and cleaned for awhile. While this was disappointing, the worst part was not one server greeted us or came to our table for drinks. After I waited 15 minutes with several servers walking by us to go to the bar, I walked up to the bar to get drinks and finally a waitress came up and asked me what I was doing. The waitress was nice and very apologetic after I told her what happened, but for an expensive restaurant, it was an absolutely horrible experience. This was the 5th or 6th city we have eaten on our trips, and most Fogos are great, but we will never come back to this location.

    The food was great, however, the section I was sat in seemed like we were always skipped when coming around with the food. When it was the meat was always rear, while some people at the party preferred slightly more cooked.

    Meat was too dry for the price advertised, would only recommend going for the experience, if not there are other places that are much better. Salad bar was also subpar.

    The overall experience depends on what day of the week you visit this restaurant. I had a dinner reservation for peak Saturday dinner time and the noise level was outrageously too loud, 40 minute wait time even with a reservation, and half the staff is not in the best mood to provide kind service. The original Caipirinha cocktail is MUST try and the quality god the food is up there. I do have to say that I didn’t appreciate flies at the salad bar.
