I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but our experience at Fogo de Chão was beyond disappointing. Especially considering it was my brother’s birthday and his first time dining at this restaurant. We were crammed into a congested section of the restaurant, while the other side sat completely empty. The atmosphere was chaotic and uncomfortable. Staff looked overwhelmed, and our server, who was very polite, was stretched too thin. We felt bad for him, because the issues we experienced were not his fault. The biggest letdown was the food. Meats came around very infrequently, and the selection was extremely limited. What did arrive was overcooked, dry, and completely lacking in flavor. There was no filet mignon, no ribeye, no prime rib—none of the quality cuts you’d expect at a restaurant charging $72 per person. My brother was especially looking forward to the rack of lamb, his favorite. We asked for it 3 separate times, and were told they would come out. It never arrived, and after waiting far too long, we left without trying it. When we asked to speak to a manager, they sent over a customer service representative who seemed checked out and uninterested. She offered no apology or solution, until my brother specifically asked about a discount, at which point she reluctantly applied a small reduction. We weren’t the only ones unimpressed. We overheard several other tables voicing the same complaints of slow service, limited meat options, and missing cuts. We strongly recommend Texas de Brazil (Tustin Marketplace), where the experience is worth every penny. At $67.99 per person, it’s more affordable, the meat quality is far better, and the servers are attentive and constantly coming around with a wide variety of well-prepared cuts. Fogo de Chão was disorganized, overpriced, poorly managed, and completely underwhelming. We won’t be returning, and I’d encourage others to look elsewhere for a true Brazilian steakhouse experience.

Service was terrible. We came for the Best of Brazil special; the waitress suggested we get the full price to get the premium cuts, we agreed, however, not a single premium cut was brought to us. A total rip off. After complaining with the waitress, she brought a plate of cold, old, beef ribs (not the Rodizio experience), and one server with a premium cut came over. Had to wait over 45 min for my soda refill, and the basket of bread came when we had finished our meal. For $72 per person, you expect great service. Total rip off and not worth the money.

Horrible experience! We didn’t see our server until we were basically half way through our dinner. Didn’t even come to greet us so we didn’t know who our server was half the dinner! Then our drinks came out at the end of our dinner and we had to remind them. Maybe it was because we were sat at the corner, but the service wasn’t up to standard especially with what you are paying for. Wasted money on crappy service!!

We had a party of seven and were sat at a large round table near a large window that let in very nice light and next to the market table. I would compare the market table to the Huntington Beach location and say it had possibly less offerings. But everything that I and my guest had was delicious. I opted for the market table with one protein. I selected the lamb chops which were cooked perfectly. Two other guest had the fish selections, the Chilean Sea bass and the salmon and both were great. Another three guests opted for the all you can eat and were very satisfied. Their favorite was the lamb. The only the issue with this location is parking. It was a busy Friday afternoon with lots of tables from the surrounding office buildings. Also a large party behind a closed off room. The service staff did a great job with their service. One of the management staff visited our table to see how our experience was, which was positive. I definitely would visit this location again .

Wonderful as always. Fogo de Chao Irvine never disappoints. We were celebrating my son’s graduation and it was perfect. Great food, awesome atmosphere and the kindest staff very attentive. Even the caipirinha drink was the best. Coming back for sure.

One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. I brought friends here, and it ended up being so embarrassing that I was stressed the entire time. The gauchos came around so infrequently that it felt like we were forgotten, and flipping the card to green meant nothing—they just didn’t come. We barely got a few slices of Brazilian BBQ and didn’t even receive the full variety of meats listed on the menu. My friends were left looking at their empty plates for most of the time. I mentioned the issues to a staff member who checked on us, and he said he’d fix it! Then he sent a gaucho to serve us. The gaucho came over and said, “Even though you didn’t pay for the premium experience, I’m going to serve you this meat cut anyway,” like he was doing us a favor. It felt like we were receiving charity, which made me even more embarrassed in front of my friends. Then he disappeared and again we were left unattended.
