We have been to Fogo several times and this was definitely the worst experience we’ve had. The servers were very slow. We never got clean plates after going through the salad bar. The people working the salad bar were incredibly unfriendly. Normally, the gauchos come by frequently offering their specialty but last night we basically had to flag them down to get food. At one point, some of the meat fell into a drink and it was never offered to replace it. For what we paid for dinner, I was incredibly disappointed.
My sons 21st birthday
It was wonderful the host did a spectacular job i would recommend it to anybody
This was the first time my husband and I went. Everyone was wonderful, and the food was amazing. In fact, my husband said we need to bring our parents, but not all at once, so we have an excuse to come back more often.
Overall, we had a very nice meal. The restaurant wasn't noisy overall, but we were seated near to a gentleman who made it difficult for us not to hear his entire conversation. I appreciated the well prepared meats. My wife appreciated the grilled mozzarella with honey the most. The market table had nice options on it. A server was helping guests with selecting items from the market table. It was difficult to hear her. I wish she would've spoken up. Clearly with a mask, it becomes more difficult. It just has to be taken into account.
First time going won’t be the last
Server didn't let us know that the shrimp was extra.
Outside of that everything was perfect for valentines day.
Everything was great! Great service, great food, great venue. Very thorough in sanitizing between guests. Only thing I could say, being nit-picky, is that it was fairly cold. Outside of that, it exceeded every expectation I had!
Food was perfect, highly recommend their house special steak that they cook at the table and our favorite server is Emily!
Food was great! Service was not great. The servers were very inexperienced and the manager wasn’t any better. We will be back to Fogo but probably not the downtown location.
We love to deliver amazing experiences to our guests, so it's disappointing to hear you call us inexperienced. Please don't allow this to keep you away for too long.
Fogo de Chao is our favorite place to go when we want to celebrate something by ourselves. It’s excellent value for the price and allows us to enjoy being together and trying new things.
Quality of food is excellent. Everyone worked hard to make sure we had everything we wanted. We love Fogo de Chao!!
Fresh salad bar and nice cuts of meat. Came hungry, left stuffed!
Just as expected for a birthday dauber. Thanks!
Muy buen servicio 😋😋😋👍
Food was delicious as always!
Food was good as always. This was the first time I’ve had a bad experience with service. The staff were nice, but half way though dinner they stopped coming to our table despite several servers walking past us.
Overall, it was a good experience.
We choose Fogo for every Devour. It is our favorite. This time, the food was great, but we were often skipped by the servers carrying the meat and cheese.
We had to ask our host for candied bacon on four separate occasions, and it still never came.
Great dinner and great staff
If u love meat this is the place to go. Definitely get your moneys worth
Pre Valentines dinner and birthday celebration of a friend, it was a weekend night, restaurant were really busy, somehow its kind of noisy because it was very crowded and one of our server was like screaming introducing to us and ask her to tone down, but other than that food were great, servers were good, always like to come to this place.
The food and service were excellent!
The food was great as always, it was during Devour so it was a bit busy for an early weekday. The attention to the table seems to always be bit slo
Always look forward to Devour Downtown to go to Fogo for no special reason! Enjoyed the experience.
We were seated 30 minutes after our reservation and that made us rush since we had a Pacer game in what is now less than an hour. We waited to order our wine and then went to the salad bar which was different because of Covid restrictions but okay. When the wine was brought to us it was a much younger bottle than on the menu and there was no offer of a price adjustment so we sent it back and ordered a different wine which was the right one this time. Usually at Fogo the meat comes so fast you had to slow it down but not this time. We had to ask several times for more than the original 3 choices. It was not our normal experience at Fogo de Chao. If you go be ready to wait for your food.
Server was inexperienced and although she was nice it made for a less than perfect experience. The food was so so at best. We had high hopes but unfortunately will not be returning.
We go every year for my birthday and my sons birthday. This year wasn't worth it. Service was subpar at best. Our server hardly ever brought tea refills. Took our glasses to get more ice and never returned with new drinks so we went through lunch without until the end. We were sitting at. a 6 top with our backs to the never-ending buffet line with people hitting our backs and not being able to get up. I understand the bar protocol but this was the worse seat in the house. We obviously had our salad plates and that's what we had to use for meat. We were not offered new plates. $360 lunch and it was not enjoyable in the least. Next year we may look elsewhere and start a new tradition. Very disappointed.
It’s was the first time we brought our teenagers to this style restaurant and they enjoyed it.
Took our family out to enjoy the experience. Fogo did not disappoint!!! Service was fantastic, food quality was amazing as always.
Thanks for your feedback, Michael! So happy to hear our team was able to show you a memorable dining experience. We hope to serve you again!
My husband and I have been to Fogo de Chao a couple times in the past. However, this was our first time since the Pandemic. We both weren't sure how we felt about this type of dining right now. But we were both craving Brazilian Churrasco so we decided to give it a try. We picked a mid-afternoon time thinking it wouldn't be as busy. Boy, were we wrong. It was still super busy, granted it was during Devour Indy. I agree with a lot of the other reviews about the wait time. Our reservation was at 2:30pm. We weren't taken back till after 3pm. But we were both pleasantly surprised by all the safety precautions taken. We were luckily sat in a room off the main dining room which definitely contributed to our feeling safer. Not sure we would have felt the same if we were in the main dining area. Our room only had 4 tables and they were all spaced out pretty good. We both felt like the salad bar was way better then previous times we had been here. Way more options. An employee was in charge of getting your food for you in the Salad Bar area. That was a little weird, but also meant diners weren't sticking their hands everywhere. Plus they wore gloves which also seemed more sanitary. The meat service was fantastic as usual. We were given a chance to try every meat on the menu that day. Even the really good cuts like Picanha (Prime part of the Top Sirloin), which is my favorite. We had a great time and will definitely be back.
Check in: crowding in the front desk - some people with masks below the their nose.
Buffet: observed poor quality of items and few options - i.e. at Fogo de Chão in São Paulo (Brazil) there is a huge selection of (high quality) cheese, sea food, fish selection, dried tomato, etc.
Fogo de Chão in Brazil serves "Arroz Carreteiro", "Feijão de Corda", Rizotto, all kind of pasta, etc. Surprise-me when I look that close to buffet there was a guy making OMELET !!!!!
Food: few and poor selection of meat (there had no cow ribs), no hump offered, pork ribs were too hard to cut & eat. Although I asked several times, no medium done picanha came at my table. All meat that came in my table was COLD !!
Poor service - the waiters did not meet my requests when I asked for specific cut of meat.
The price paid does not justify the experience that I had. I will NEVER COME BACK at that place until the items above were not fixed.
We're sorry we disappointed you, as we never want a guest to leave with such an opinion of us. Your satisfaction is everything for us, so we hope you award us a second chance.
All the meat was delicious. And the rolls were amazing. A little pricey for what you get unless you're able to eat a lot.
My wife and I had a very enjoyable evening. The market table was excellent and the meat fantastic. We especially enjoyed the lamb sirloin and the beef sirloin. Service was fantastic. We could not have asked for better. The only concern we had was the social distancing in the waiting area. As we left the restaurant we had to work our way around people in order to get out of the door. This made us very uncomfortable. Other then that the safety practices throughout the restaurant were excellent.
Visited during Devour Indy, very robust energy and seemed like a pre-covid crowd. Covid protocols were visible and everyone was wearing a mask. Food was excellent and service is always attentive.
Thank you, Gloria! We can't wait to have you back in!
I went to Fogo de Chao for the first time for my birthday. The food was great and there was a variety. I didn’t like the inconsistent service with multiple staff and their manager split my reservation into two tables. He stated it was due to COVID but I don’t believe that was true because that wasn’t made aware during booking. I wasn’t happy with service or my birthday interruptions. The food was the best part ! I am not sure if I will return to this Fogo de Chao. I wouldn’t recommend this location. I have serviced restaurants for years so these issues could’ve been minor and fixed simply.
Amazing staff and food
I went because of devour Indy and they did NOT disappoint! The service started out a little slow but once they got going we had never ending hot meats at our table. I like the way we were served at the open buffet due to covid. EVERYTHING I ate was delicious and I’d definitely go back and pay full price.
It was a very good time in the middle of the pandemic.
