Cordeiro / Lamb
For lamb lovers or those curious to taste it for the first time, our gaucho chefs serve the cordeiro as prime lamb steak, succulent lamb chops or a tender leg of lamb.
By far our most popular dessert in both brazil and the united states, fresh papaya is blended with vanilla ice cream and topped with a black currant liqueur.
The food was too rare for my likings, the meat also didn’t have any flavor was bland! they don’t let you pick what you want from the salad bar which is ridiculous. Your paying top dollar for dinner you should get to pick what you want of that buffet!
Great food and great service. Food was continuously brought to your table.
It was amazing, we come here often and every time is better than the last! Love the staff and food there!
Birthday celebration for my son and his friends. The changes in protocols for virus concerns were no problem- missed going to the salad bar, but the replacement choices were well-received. There was only one other table in the same room, a large family of maybe 20 people, with two children, one of whom was extremely loud and uncontrolled. I would urge you to institute some guidelines for how much disturbance you are willing to tolerate before speaking to the people at the offending table, as the child's screams were disturbing, and they finally let the kid run all around the restaurant rather than take him outside. Otherwise an enjoyable night.
Service was amazing! They were very attentive! They even went out of their way to make homemade fries for our toddler.
OUTSTANDING Attentive service from the entire staff throughout the whole meal. One of my favorite restaurants in Austin. Wasn’t my first time wont be my last!
We went for our daughters graduation. Service was impeccable social distancing was in place all staff were required to wear masks and gloves. Patrons had to wear masks until they got to their table to eat. We felt safe and secure and had a great time.
We had a reservation and were seated immediately and being served within the first ten minutes. The wait staff was great and enthusiastic. We enjoyed the garlic shrimp appetizer (large shrimp - yummy!) All the meats were perfectly cooked and hot when served. Just a perfect dining experience! We finished with the chocolate cheese cake and coffee. It’s a great special occasion or vacation dinner place and we’ll be back!
Once you eat Fogo, there is no other place you will want to GO!
I love fogo; we try to go once a month. We just went during the covid pandemic and knew we wouldn’t be able to access the salad bar to prevent virus spread. However, I didn’t know they would hardly have any salad bar options to choose from. For such a reduction in salad bar options the price should be lowered a bit, or offer just a bit more variety. No marinated onions? No grilled cauliflower? Etc.
Great service and meat selections are the highlights of this restaurant!
Staff did a fantastic job! Very attentive. Figured out how to get salad bar to table side, and it worked really well (I actually even liked it better.....). Food was very well done. We've eaten here many times, and this was one of the best.
Only issue is.....you need a dress code. People there in, literally, swimsuits and tank tops. You have a nice restaurant, let's treat it that way. You should require collared shirts at a minimum.
We went to celebrate our 15 year wedding anniversary and they took every precaution and were very pleasant!! We are so excited to go back with our kids!!
Always a great experience with excellent service
My wife and I went here for our 2yr wedding anniversary!! Love it and will definitely be back!!
Thank you for another special family celebration! Even with the current restrictions in place we were able to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday in style. We appreciate the service and attention you always provide so well. We'll be back soon!
The food was as expected (good) but the waiter made us feel rushed. The wine served came with the first drink and wasn’t allowed to just sit. My daughters fish came out way before we even had the opportunity to visit the salad bar. Usually a big fan of Fago De Chao but now...will 2nd guess and consider other options for a nice place out for some good beef.
We never want our guests to feel rushed, Doug, as ensuring you enjoy your experience is our goal. Please don't second guess a chance to visit us again.
absolutely astonishing restaurant!! manger will check on you at least 4 times throughout your meal. over the top experience!!
For the $200+ that I spent, I felt like the value wasn't there. The food was good, but the service was not up to par. On three separate occasion, we had to ask where the particular item that we ordered was. I would recommend Fogo de Chao, but this experience in particular was not worth the monies spent.
Your experience with us is what matters most, so we are disappointed to hear we didn't earn your complete satisfaction. We hope you choose to dine with us in the future, as we know we can earn your 5-stars.
I felt like the first half of my evening I was being hit with a bunch of upsell‘s of different sides and drinks. All these rodizio‘s are doing the same thing so this restaurant really isn’t much different. However the overall dining experience makes me feel like walking into a Walmart and getting hit by people trying to sell solar paneling, home-improvements, Girl Scout cookies and so on...
All these sides and upsell’s are on the menu and don’t really need the waiter trying to convince me to buy
The service at Fogo is great it is on another level. The actual meat is below expectations, never saw the good stuff.
Our experience was amazing! Spent our one year anniversary there and had a wonderful experience.
Love the Place. Love the Valet guys. Just an amazing place. Skip the chicken and pork and go for the filet and ribeye and garlic beef.
I booked about 12 minutes out because our original plan was going to be an hour plus wait before we even sat down. We walked over and everything was waiting for us, the staff were excellent, we’re even considering going back later today for more!
The overall footed was ok for the price, some of the meat wasn’t the best. I was a fun experience but I wouldn’t do it again.
We have been eating at the downtown Austin location for years. It’s gotten worse over the last two years. This time it was to the point that I consider not going back. I guess we were spoiled the years before and our expectation set high. It looked like an unorganized chaos. Starting with the Valet parking to the reservation that was not easy to be found in the system and still requested wait time. Waiting for servers, our seafood tower came with our tools and nobody around to ask or check on us to provide us the needed utensils to eat. Requested multiple times for replacement napkins since ours were dirty from peeling seafood. Well known crème brûlée was sold out so we decided to just go and have desert somewhere else. And we were not the only ones unhappy. Watching the tables around me, it was filled of frustration and disappointment. Yes it was the valentines weekend but it’s not their first time and we done it every year without big hiccups. I must say, we miss the old crew we saw for years, it was a well run team.
Food was very tough to chew. The meats were very salty. Overall, not worth the money, at all.
We love this place. Always top notch service and love the yummy food. We never leave here hungry!
Excellent attention and the good was very well. Im happy that we went there.
Always a great experience at any of these locations. Always great food, come hungry or don’t come at all
Waited quite a bit for the side dishes, while already having our meat. Had to ask multiple times for sides and drinks we ordered. It was busy for Valentines, but it didn’t seem so over the top busy that we couldn’t receive what we asked for the first time. Food was great as usual though! Services has been much better in our previous experiences.
1st time and so wonderful!!! Food was incredible and servers attentive. Gonna go back soon!
Been to 2 other Fogo locations (DC and Baltimore) and the Austin location was a HUGE disappointment. I was in town for a work conference and was able to bring my daughter along. We happened to be walking down the same street on which Fogo is located, and I was explaining to her how the dining experience is different from the typical restaurant. She said she really wanted to eat there, after I hyped it up, and I made a reservation for 4:15pm on Valentine's Day. When we walked in, the hostess was dismissive since I was "early" and she still had a few parties to seat. I wasn't expecting to be seated right away and we were patient. Got seated by the same hostess, who asked if we'd ever been there before and I said that we hadn't been to their location. She asked if we wanted water and I said yes, and she said that we could go ahead and get food from the salad bar/buffet (I forget what they actually call it). We sat back down and switched to green, after which all the meat guys started coming. All well and good, but no one else ever came to ask if we wanted anything else to drink (I probably would have added $30-40 to the tab just in drink orders) or anything else for that matter. I had an empty water glass for at least 5 minutes and when a male server finally came to refill, I said thank you in a friendly tone and he just said, "mmm hmm." When I put my plate aside for the first time, I think it was a manager who gave me a clean plate, only because he was at the table right beside ours cleaning up. And it took another while for someone to clean the dirty plate off. I was absolutely unhappy with my dining experience but I was glad my daughter was able to experience something new. I tolerated the terrible service for my daughter, otherwise I would have gotten up and left after 5 minutes of service (or lack thereof). I'm not discounting Fogo completely but would never recommend the Austin location.
Food was delicious as always, but service was poor. Only time we saw the waiter was when we sat down and he brought us our drinks. Didn’t get any refills on our drinks/bread the entire time we were sat down. After we were done eating, we waited at least 30 minutes to flag him down to get the check and another 10 minutes after that to get the check dropped off at our table.
Valentine’s Day dudes!
It Was Phenomenal!!! Great Service, Unique Drinks, Fresh Aged Cheese 🤤 Everything Was Just Outstanding ! No Place Could Compare !!
Had market table. Excellent assortment. Service excellent and attentive.
Going to Fogo de Chao is a no brainer, it is one of our family's favorite, awsome salad bar and plenty of meat choices cooked as you like it. The service staff is always great, but last time I have to asked for a drink several times before it came to my table.
Fantastic dinner. Great food, great wine great service.
