Chicken & Biscuits
Country Fried Chicken Breast and a cheddar scallion biscuit smothered with sawmill gravy Served with whipped potatoes and garlic green beans
Great meal, excellent service and professionalism, and a very courteous staff made this meal a quality evening. It was my wife's birthday and your staff added to our celebration. Definitely recommend Floyd's 1921 for a fine dining experience.
We always look forward to stopping in on our cruise south. Food is always good.
Stay away from the Shrimp and Grits. Terrible!!!!
Dave, our waiter was efficient, personable, and very knowledgeable. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food.
So happy I found this hidden treasure in Morehead City!
Dinner was delicious only possible complaint were the dining rooms acoustics, it was loud
We were seated immediately, which was excellent. Our server came and got our drink orders seconds after we sat down. We got our cocktails quickly. She took our
meal order after she served our cocktails. After a few minutes she brought us a
serving of bread with butter. I was not fond of the bread. Not tasty at all and crumbly. A short time passed and our meal was served. I was cooked perfectly.
The whipped potatoes were a little dry and the fried Oakra was great. It was pleasurable evening with an excellent server and great cocktails.
Great food and service in a quaint old home. The local seafood was fresh and well-prepared. Our pumpkin pie dessert was excellent.
On a scale from 1-10, Floyd’s is easily a 12! Originally my reservation was for 2 and we were able to make it 4 with ease. The flowers at the table as requested were gorgeous! Everyone we encountered were professional and courteous. Top Notch! We all enjoyed different entrees and each entree was a taste bud explosion. One of the best places to enjoy in Morehead City. Highly recommend!!!
Friend in town.
Great service, portions were more than we could eat.
We dressed up nicely and had a beautiful night out while visiting Morehead City. Service was superb and food was delicious. My husband had the blackened tuna and I had the salmon. Both were really good! Plan to return when we are in the area again!
I went specifically for the German menu, and was not disappointed! The food was authentic, and delicious. Our wait person, Evylyn, was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk to. I'll be going back to sample the standard menu.
The service was excellent. I went for the German menu which was disappointing. It was ok. I would not go back for it. My grandson got the ribeye and love it. If I go back I will try something that they are known for.
I enjoyed the Chicken and Biscuits which was a very large delicious portion. I'll enjoy the leftovers for lunch today! Service was exceptional and Thursday night was a great night to go as there was no waiting and very few other guests. The bartender did a great job with our cocktails too. I was out the door for less than $35 bucks which is a really great value considering how good the food was and how much is served. The hot bread while we waited with the slab of creamy butter was a nice touch. We'll definitely be back.
Still my favorite restaurant in Morehead City; I have others, but Floyd's is the best!
Food and service were good. Dessert was fabulous. Host was unfriendly and not welcoming.
Food was good but nothing special. I don’t know that I would make an effort to go back again.
Delicious food and excellent service. The German jagerschnitzel entree was outstanding.
Food was great and staff was wonderful. They were super busy but our waitress was very responsive.
Wonderful food, great service
Beautiful restaurant with good food. Make reservations as we did which was a great idea!!
Nice place, food is teriffic. Staff is very good
Very expensive for what you get. Noise level was high. Waitress was busy with other tables. Forgot my soup.
Good food, mediocre service
Our food was delicious well presented. The staff were friendly and very attentive Will definitely be going back.
We’ve been to Morehead City many times and weren’t aware of this place ! It wasn’t where most of the restaurants are but real close (4th street ) It was awesome and will return at least once every trip here from now on👍👍
Recommend reservations. Prompt and very courteous staff upon entry. Prompt waitress, also very knowledgeable, patient, courteous. Delicious food with more than ample servings. Vegetables taste like right out of the garden. Pleasant atmosphere and ideal location.
The host was not overly friendly, but that was ok. When we finally got a table, we were seating next to a large table of VERY loud people. It was to the point where we could not hear each other at our table speak. Since they would not do anything about the large party (which was not fair to us). They moved us next to the busy kitchen but we could carry on a conversation. If you are going to have large parties, then put them in a room to themselves. Other guests should not have to endure this when we are paying for the same. Our waiter was good, patient and kind. The food we ordered was good except for the fried green tomatoes, they tasted "store bought." The next time we will ask in advance if there is a large party.
Our Waiter, Travis, was amazing! The food is delicious with a modern spin on southern staples! Great dynamic of dining with a laid back vibe. Outside seating and bar
Excellent customer service Great food Quiet atmosphere
Didn’t live up to the hype. Food was mediocre, ambiance was nonexistent, prices were too high for quality of the experience. Very bummed as we were looking forward to good seafood & lively atmosphere.
The service was slow but it wasn’t the waitress’ fault. She was assigned our 1 table inside and ALL the outside tables.
Good menu selections. I asked that the swordfish not be overcooked, and the chef complied with my wishes. My pecan pie was pretty good, but my wife’s chocolate mousse cake wise wonderful.
Excellent food and service
Floyd’s is my go-to every time I’m in the area. Fantastic selection and great staff. The food, atmosphere, service and ambiance are all second to none.
Absolutely surprised! What a wonderful gem. We have been in town for almost two weeks and have tried most of the normal spots that are well reviewed. All but one of them was “meh”. Floyds was outstanding. Fish, meat, drinks, desserts - were all excellent. There is something for everyone here. Don’t pass on the red-neck eggrolls, the clam chowder was very good, the daily catch was outstanding, even the ribs were good (make sure you ask for the sauce on the side). If anything needed a bit more love - the fries were just OK. Nothing special. We had the mouse double chocolate and the creme brûlée = both were very good.
Food was excellent! Service was wonderful! This place is a hidden gem!
Food and service was great. Will definitely be back next time through town.
Would not recommend this restaurant. The food was awful however the service was great. People at a table next to us were watching tv on four different phones with the volume full blast. Mind you, these were full grown adults lacking any type of curtesy. It was absurd which added to the lack of value of this place. The grits tasted like a cardboard box, the okra was served cold, and all dishes had little to no taste. We may have ordered incorrectly as fried food seemed to be the specialty. Portion sizes were on the large side for shareable options.
