Fantastic food and service. Would definitely recommend! Great value
New server Matt was excellent. Gnocchi and Ashley are always the best. Ribeye was small and overcooked (still juicy so that saved it)
A fantastic meal of freshly made pasta dishes and amazing scallops!
Great craft cocktails and terrific wine. Great food and service.
Great service, atmosphere and food! We’ll be back!
We had the best birthday dinner at Flour Shop yesterday! Riley was the sweetest and took great care of our table. The wine and dinner options he recommended were a huge hit all around. Flour Shop always reminds us why we keep going back to celebrate special occasions!
Amazing food and great service. The space is small so noise and chaos ensue a little but the servers are attentive and sharp as can be. Each bite of food was mesmerizing and we loved the drinks as well. Definitely need to keep in the rotation for date nights.
Everything was delicious and our waiter was exceptional. Highly recommend and we will be back again soon!
Great flavor, great portions, great cocktails, great environment!
One entree was served 10 minutes after the others. As the kitchen takes up most of the central part of the restaurant, it was possible to observe the kitchen staff. Unfortunately, on this night when the restaurant overall wasn’t that busy, the chefs went about their business in a nonchalant way with no deliberateness to their approach. Also, unfortunately, they were much too preoccupied with their cellphones. Thus, the reason for the late arriving entree which when served wasn’t hot enough, as was the case with the other entrees.
This was my second time at the Flour Shop. The food is delicious, the service is good and they have one of my favorite Italian wines.
The fist time I went my dish wasn’t served hot. It was delicious, but Luke warm. I thought it was just a one off. Then last night, both my wife and my dishes were luke warm. Hers was even a little less. Now two occasions and similar experiences, so the kitchen needs to fix that.
Last night was New Year’s Eve and it turned out that many people canceled their reservations. I think we were the last table to be seated even though they had originally planned for later seatings. By the time we’re were finishing our meal, the staff was cleaning up to leave. When we asked about dessert, they had already shut down the kitchen. We were disappointed.
Since the food is delicious, we’ll give them one more try, but I hope they bring us hot dishes!
We had an absolutely wonderful meal at Flour Shop. The service was exceptional, drinks yummy, and the pasta was some of the best we’ve ever eaten. We’ll be back!
Had a blast visiting our friends at Flour Shop. We brought Stephanie's mom along with us this time since she was in town. Wanted her to try one of our fav spots ;-) She loved it! See y'all again soon!
Birthday party for my son was a big success. Everyone had a great time. Food and service were excellent.
Our food was delicious, however our server seemed annoyed with us the entire evening. More than one person felt that way. Know they are short staffed everywhere, and we do take that into account. But still expect kindness and appreciation.
Comfortable dining spot with wonderful service. Eclectic and thoughtful beverage list with unique selections by the glass. Food is upscale comfort with quality ingredients. Open kitchen and large counter seating area adds to the friendly welcoming vibe.
Feels like you’re walking off the street in New York to a local restaurant. Friendly service as always. Laser focused on a bit limited but excellent menu; always changing. Great Italian wine selection. Helpful wine guidance when needed.
First time dining here. We had an appetizer of chorizo croquettes. The outside was perfectly fried the inside was very soft potato and had an overpowering amount of paprika. This appetizer could have used salt.
For dinner my husband chose the duck entree. It was served with apples and walnuts and was beautifully cooked. A very good dish. I chose brisket ravioli that was stuffed with golden beet and fennel. The brisket was served on top and the dish had a red sauce. Unfortunately the red sauce dominated everything. I could not taste the beet or the fennel, just the cheese and sauce. The brisket was beautifully cooked. I found this dish to be very heavy. I would not order it again.
For dessert we had bread pudding. It was outstanding and served with ice cream.
I will definitely try this restaurant again, but will stick to something a bit lighter. I wish I had ordered the grilled tuna
Another thing diners should be aware of, servers were not wearing masks. Some of the cooks were wearing masks, but no one else. It was a bit disconcerting given the recent rise in covid cases. I thought Charlotte Mecklenburg was under a mask mandate. It made us uncomfortable at first, but as we were sitting very close to other diners decided it didn't matter in the scheme of things.
Servers unmasked during mandate if it matters to you. It’s why my rating is lower. Excellent food and service! Good wine list and fun drinks. One of my favorite spots places. Will wait to come back when they mask up since Omicron is spreading quickly right now.
Great food, great service! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and responsive. Will definitely be back.
Great service and food. Accommodating for a toddler with high chair and menu. Lovely meal!
Excellent food, drinks, and service from start to finish.
The appetizers were absolutely delicious. Entrees were good, but not spectacular. Pasta was very al dente. One dish was over salted. Only one vegetarian option was offered. Cocktails and beer selection awesome. Great dessert.
Excellent cocktail and food. I went with friends and we all had different pasta dishes which were all excellent. Atmosphere is lively with lots of ferns and a great bar. A little short staffed but they seemed to manage reasonably well.
Great food and ambience. bar seating is fun. Super service
Ashley behind the bar makes the most amazing drinks ! Food is always great. Love this place.
We had a fantastic experience for our date night! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The wait staff was kind and helpful. We loved our visit and can’t wait to go back!
Overall a delightful experience. Heavy portions, hefty wine pours and a beautiful place to dine. Perfect balance of busy, but not crowded. Quick, but not rushed. Simple, but not dull. Food was outstanding. Highly recommend the Flour Shop.
Great service! Food was amazing!
Hostess/Manager is not a people person. Thank goodness our server was awesome!
Usually a great experience but this time lacked.
Our server Sarah was wonderful. Made our anniversary dinner very special. Would prefer the pasta a tad more cooked and the portion is too big for us, leaving little room to try the dessert, pity…!
We were overly impressed with ALMOST every aspect of my birthday meal at the Flour Shop.
Food GREAT, ambiance GREAT, overall quality GREAT. Our only complaint was the service seemed to want to rush us to order our appitizer, rush us to order our main courses, rush us to finish our main courses, offering to tell us about dessert when we were still eating our main courses, taking one persons plate away before the other had finished.
I perhaps should have said "slow down, we are here to enjoy our meal; not to wolf it down" but I did not. I will next time because the server is obviously not trained for that.
Both the food and service were amazing. Unique fresh items with great flavor.
We love going to the Flour Shop. From drinks to dessert, always great. All of the staff are super friendly and engaging.
Food was fantastic the wine was great and it was a great atmosphere! Great for a date or a girls night!
Excellent! We had 4 people with 4 different diets and everyone was delighted with their food. Fresh pasta, fish and veggies. Excellent cheeses and beverage pairings!
The server was top notch and knew every detail of the menu. So glad this place is tucked away in our ‘hood
Excellent cocktails, entrees as described, helpful staff.
Ashley our server/bartender was amazing! She was very informative of the menu and suggestions! The food was exactly as she described. Packed full of flavor and textures! Highly recommend Flour shop! Also pro tip if you like cooking sit near the bar and watch the chefs make magic!! Also save room for the bread pudding! So good!!
This place has a nice vibe from when you walked in the door. Warm friendly modern with out going to the industrial look which is so common today. We were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us 2 flutes of champagne to make a toast (on the house). Our server was knowledgable about the wines they offered and how the food was prepared. The pork bolegnese was excellent, a rich hardy meat sauce with a long tubular pasta that the sauce clung too. So was the chirozo potato croquette appitizer, very flavorful. If you want to go on a Friday or Saturday evening, I would reccommend you make reservations a week in advance, as the most desirable times fill up quickly. They do have some walk-in seating available at a section of the counter. If you sit at the counter you can watch the chefs prepare your food which I always enjoy. We will definately be back..
