Received an email from Open table stating we didn’t show up so sounds like they didn’t perform the correct process for the reservation
Beautiful restaurant, great food. The portions are generous, and the staff very friendly.
The food and drinks were great. The service was exceptional.
Nice place to eat. Was more crowded than I expected, probably why service wasn't the best. But not a big deal since gave us time to talk.
Loved it!! Service, Food, ambiance were all excellent
Neighborhood gem! Excellent food and the service is even better!
I met two of my girlfriends for brunch yesterday and we had THE BEST time! The food was great, the ambiance was perfect and the bottomless mimosas were fantastic! We stayed and talked, ate, and drank for 3 hours. We’re already trying to find another Sunday when we can go back!
Great Saturday night at Flora. Food was great, service and great 2 piece band playing Gypsy King type of music. Great vibe! Love this place
Flora bar and kitchen has great ambiance and amazing food. Live music was pleasant and not too noisy. I Recommend it highly.
Although we had a reservation for outdoor seating, the staff told us there was no space for us outside. We settled on a table indoors in the back area. The music was extremely loud but when asked to turn it down the staff immediately did. The food was ok, not bad, not outstanding..just standard Italian food.
First time out to brunch in over a year (hello Covid), saw that this restaurant had changed to Flora. I checked out the menu online and we were pleased to see the bottomless mimosa on the menu (FIRST brunch in over a year!)
I reserved a patio table and when we arrived the hostess let us know she could only seat us inside- that was fine, there were only two other parties in the dining room- which felt great and safe.
It took a little too long for our server to greet us, but that was the only complaint. She took our order and the food came out quickly, it was hot and delicious, we both had the frittata and decided next time, we'd share, the portions were very generous. The sourdough toast was amazing, it was hot and crusty, served with butter on the side, and thank you for not giving us frozen butter packets. The staff was all very friendly, masked and thanked us multiple times for visiting. The space is beautiful and the booth seating was very comfy. We'll be back!
We visited Flora for Sunday brunch to celebrate my wife's birthday, a milestone, really. I had mentioned that in the on-line reservation, asking that Flora help to make it the special event my wife deserved. We were immediately shown to our table, and once things got settled, offered water and other beverages. We placed our order, which was delivered quickly. Both the BLAT and the Bagel-deLox were wonderful. After the initial pour, my wife's mimosas slowed a bit, to the point where she took her glass on the hunt for more! My Bloody Mary was good, but could have used a little more ummmph!
This was our second visit and it was Fantastic. Great food, wine, and service. Looking forward to our third visit!
We went for restaurant week and were pleasantly surprised based on the location. Once you get inside the ambience is excellent and couldn’t have asked for better service or food.
The tables were a bit close on the patio and we were seated next to a large group so the
noise level was high.
The food was good but a bit pricey for what we got.
I came for restaurant week with my girlfriend the other night. The main course (salmon) was pretty cold. I didn’t say anything because it’s a fixed menu and we were basically trying things for a fixed rate. I wasn’t impressed with the food quality at all.
Food was flavorful and fresh! This place is an unexpected gem!
This was the 1st time dining at Flora. We came to support San Iego Restaurant Week. What an amazing experience. The food an service were excellent. Enrique was our server and he was great. We will come again for more deliciousnesa!
First time here, the restaurant is very nicely designed with a very upscale but comfortable feeling. It’s very loud in there no so much I couldn’t hear my husband, just noticeable. We started with charcuterie board, pretty standard, 3 meats 3 cheese, some olives and mixed nuts. The cheeses were all really similar would have liked to see it varied more with texture. I had a wild boar ossoboco special, was ok but had a weird after taste that I could place came with risotto which was really good. I think they roast them ahead of time and bring them up to temp later, as I got closer to the bone the meat was cold, not room temp, but cold. Meanwhile my risotto was still steaming so pretty sure something wasn’t reheated enough. It also had a dried out texture. My husband had the seabass. He liked it, I didn’t care for it much, but I also don’t care for sea bass. And the fish was cut weird like an unbreaded frozen fish filet. Dessert we had the cheesecake, was good, the berries and raspberry jam was a nice compliment. Right before we left they waiter brought us another dessert as R&D. That was a cannoli, the custard had an orange flavor, not a fan of that but the shell was nice and crisp. I like the chocolate chip custard. Anyway service was great, they had a girl playing the guitar which actually helped with the noise level. Was an expensive dinner for just a normal night out, but we also probably ordered the most expensive everything on the menu. Pasta dishes are reasonable, main entrees were much higher. Would try the pasta if we go back. Also, we didn’t order but several people near us ordered the truffle French fries and they smelled amazing!
Flora is definitely a new favorite of ours. The food was amazing. My husband’s Oso buco was one of the best he’s ever had. The sauce was celestial. My salmon was also excellent. Great wine list is another plus. I highly recommend the restaurant!!
We ordered salad with salmon, flatbread pizza, chicken Caesar. Everyone loved their meals. They had live music which was such a treat! The service is always great. We were seated right away for our reservation
We came on a Easter Sunday for brunch. The food was delicious and the patio seating is really nice. We all loved it!!
Went for Easter Brunch and it was an all around hit for a family of 5 including one kid who’s 7 and one 13 who’s a vegetarian. Waffles were huge hit as well as the wet burrito. You can tell everything was fresh and made in house. Giovanni gave us great service and the two man band playing added extra ambience to what was already a great vibe.
I’m very sad to say it was one of the worst meals I have ever had and three out of the four people I was dining with did not like their meals as well. I had the linguine and clams. It was flavorless, the sauce was murky and the pasta was so overcooked that it clumped together in a starchy mess. I will give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an off night, but it will be a while before I go back and I won’t be recommending it to anyone. I
Food is good but service by Elias is excellent. I plan to come back again.
Nice local restaurant. Good food
Great night at Flora! Highly recommend if you're looking for great food and a great vibe!
There was music with Barry Cohen that night. He was great. We had the swordfish. It was great.
Service was amazing!!!
“Diluted Italian” is the best description I can come up with for the food. Service was mediocre at best. With so many other great restaurants nearby, I recommend skipping this one and instead heading to Rosina’s or Firenze.
We had reservations for 4 and were seated immediately inside as requested. Tables were well spaced which kept the noise down. Service was friendly and efficient. Both the Tropicale and Insalats Flora were excellent. We all had pasta for our main and they were also very good. We’ll be going back!
No kids offerings, despite there being a kids menu online. Got them cheese pizza, not the end of the world. Food and ambience were great :)
Birthday dinner. Awesome choices. Outdoor setting with heaters. Very cozy and pleasant.
My daughter and I went to listen to Barry Cohen play and had lunch with bottomless mimosas . My daughter and I enjoyed our brunch and liked the music . We will return
Great food and excellent service!
The osso buco was excellent!! Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Fantastic place! Great servers! Great hosts! Gorgeous bar and restaurant.
Also, the food was amazing. Truly, a neighborhood gem that everyone should try. Highly recommend.
Nice atmosphere, food was great. I had the short rib- boneless, tender, and flavorful! Our waiter was great. He was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I would go back again to try the other entrees! They have a full bar and I was happy the bartender was able to make some of my drinks!
We had a great dinner. The gnocchi sorrentina was fantastic, as was the kale ravioli. Salads were also good. We’ll definitely be back!
Wonderful food and ambiance, pleasantly surprised.
