FlintCreek Cattle Co.
Flint Creek's menu is an ever rotating selection of modern American cuisine. The items on it frequently change based on the seasonality of the ingredients, ensuring new items are introduced as others leave. Favorites on the menu include Fennel Braised Wild Boar Shoulder, Durham Ranch Bison Hangar Steak, and the Oven Roasted Duck Confit.
Our server Al was very attentive and the food was delicious! Will be back!!!
It was a little loud but the food was fantastic, wait staff amazing and as always the restaurant is gorgeous.
My husband, son and daughter in law love this restaurant. I do appreciate the unique menu and attention to detail. However my chicken was a bit tough.
I was expecting a good meal but my expectations were far exceeded. Every plate and drink we ordered was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great experience! We moved here from NYC and there I would rate the food 4 or 4.5 in NYC, but it's definitely a 5 for Seattle.
I had the wild mushroom eggs benedict. The hollandaise was spot on and mushrooms and sauce took me back to one of my fav breakfast spots in Brooklyn. Potatoes were even yummy with a bit of shallots mixed in. Coffee was good and strong.
My other half had the duck starter salad, it was quite good. She didn't see that it came with the chevre, and it's needed to give the plate zing, but I liked with the chevre. a bit more dressing or salt would have been great, but I like my salt. I was sad that the polenta dish was sold out as it souded quite good, but I would definitely come back again.
For the price in the city it's worth it. ou may as well pay a few dollars more because the quality is sooooo much higher than many places.
Great great menu, great food, great service. Only nitpick is that backless stools are really uncomfortable.
Wanted to enjoy this place and perhaps our experience was a one off, but overall, it was not the dinner experience we hoped for. In general, the food was so-so. A little heavy and overworked. Too much sauce, too many disparate components etc. But the biggest problem was that one member of our party has a severe allergy. She made clear to the waiter that the walnuts listed on the menu would need to be left off her steak. Additionally, she requested her steak be cooked well done. (I know, I know, but her choice). Once her meal came, the steak was cooked to well done but was covered with walnuts. Calling attention to this fact with the waiter, he promised another plate asap. At least 20 minutes later, (the rest of us were done with our meals) her new plate showed up. This time no walnuts, but steak cooked on the rare side of medium rare. I don't believe any of this was the waiters fault, and he tried to handle the situation well, but it still made for an unpleasant evening. The bill showed up and despite the mix ups, there was no acknowledgement of the in-edible meal and we were fully charged. They adjusted but only after we called them on it and the waiter had to go talk to his manager. Hoped to have a nice local, neighborhood restaurant with good food that didn't require heading downtown. Sadly, this place isn't it and we won't be returning.
We have been here many times and it is always excellent and never disappoints!
Food was outstanding but the coffee was way too strong.
Restaurant was amazing. Foods were fantastic. Reservation was as expected and we got seated on time
Food and service was very mediocre. The pork chop was nothing special. The server never took our drink order, I had to call him over. Not worth the price. Great space with hard to find parking.
Excellent food and service. One of the best steaks I’ve ever had. Top notch servers and ambiance in the restaurant. Having said this, it comes at a pretty big price. $470 for 4 adults with drinks , salads and dinner. Not an everyday place but great for special occasions as we were celebrating a birthday. We will go back for sure, you just have to be ready for the big price tag.
I would give this restaurant a mixed recommendation. The food is good but the service and timing is lacking considering the price point, these things should be much better. We waited at least 10 minutes for our drinks when you usually receive drinks within a few minutes of order. Then we waited at least another 10-15 min for salad. By the time our entrees arrived, they came 45 min after we first ordered. The waiter wasnt directly rude but also never checked on us to ask if everything was good and to check on water, beverages, etc. In fact he walked directly past us at least a few times checking on the table in front and in back of us. There were a couple other staff who brought us bread and drinks who were pleasant and friendly. The seats are also pretty hard and uncomfortable and exacerbated by the long waiting times for food and drinks. There are other restaurants at this price point where the food is good and ambience and service are impeccable.
Fantastic food and service.
quality of the meat was excellent. service was not. had to send back a steak that was nowhere near medium. it was not even medium rare. it was purple in the center...and was sent back. waitress was not especially nice about it...and brought it back and it still was nowhere near medium.
the treatment of the meat items was not amazing...good...but not great.
Very nice and unique brunch. Bright and light atmosphere! Will go again!
Yes and No - the brunch was decent, but nothing amazing. The dinner we went to about a month ago was delicious, so we were bummed that the brunch was pretty average and nothing to write home about. The service was solid - attentive and noticed we were talking / catching up and appropriately interrupted to make sure we were noticed and felt like we were in control of our dining experience. I put a note that it was my wife's birthday, but there was not any acknowledgment until the very end when we were leaving. i was a little bummed, most restaurants ask if we're celebrating when i make a note and at least welcome / wish a happy meal upon arrival.
Noisy as are many of Seattle's newer restaurants. Excellent service … waiter very helpful and friendly. Caesar salad could have been a bit larger for two to share. Also, more anchovies would have been a plus. Steak was excellent. Always like to see a "frites" option for a side when having steak. After all, isn't "steak frites" a classic! Really, do consider steak frites as a regular offering. Not everyone can handle the richness of Pommes Daughinois when eating a steak.
Flint creek is just across the street from Taproot theater, so we loved it for that alone. We had the cheese grits which is a heavenly rich dish. Also had a ground beef kabob with middle eastern spices that we loved. Also had the cauliflower which we loved and a salad of peach, tomatoes, and some other items that we loved.
We we’re sensitive to the start time of the play we attending, and so was our server and the kitchen.
The four of us eating at Flint Creek decided to go back when we aren’t attending a play so that we can take a bit more time and have a bit more wine. Great selection of wine, BTW.
Good but overpriced
Wonderful and attentive service.
Everything was great, as usual. Service is always excellent, and we like that the menu is more than the “usual suspects”!
Lovely experience. Went for a birthday and was very impressed. The food was amazing!
Made a reservation for a birthday brunch for my dad about 3 weeks before the date. We got to the restaurant and they did “not have” our reservation. The hostess seated us at the last table they had available, which was just a wood slab tiny table with no space for our legs. It was sad and funny, almost felt like we were on hidden camera.
The server was nice and tried to find another spot for us, but everything was booked. We got a complementary piece of cake, which was delicious, but would have much rather preferred a real table (since I’m also 6 months pregnant and had no back to a chair and no place for leg room).
It taste good to eat
I was so disappointed by this experience. We ordered 4 dishes and only one out of the four could be described as good (the sausage small plate). The worst part about wasting a splurgy date night on something so mediocre is the fact that I chose the place. For such a meat-centric restaurant, you’d think that ordering the duck breast would be a safe bet—I literally picked FlintCreek because they had duck on the menu. Big mistake. No exaggeration, it was the worst duck I’ve ever had and the fact that it was a $33 dish just added insult to injury. I should’ve been suspicious when the server neglected to ask how I wanted it done. What arrived was a plate of anaemic looking grey slices of meat cooked beyond recognition. The duck was so over cooked it tasted chalky and was hard to swallow. Is this a style of cooking duck breast I’m not aware of? I wanted to say something, but I couldn’t get the server to make eye contact all night and my date would’ve been mortified if I’d flagged the guy down to complain. Even when half the dish sat uneaten for ages, the server didn’t take notice. It was almost comical. Suffice it to say, I’m baffled by the rave reviews. I couldn’t in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
We had wonderful service!! We loved the food! Going back for sure!
Our server was awesome and did everything right from a business perspective also ( asked us how fast we would like things to come out, half glasses of wine as an option etc )
We will be visiting again for sure.
I think Rock creek will be our go to for brunch instead of this place. We've been for dinner before and decided to give it a go for brunch today. Pancakes were delicious but the rest of the food was boring and way too rich. Service was spotty. Not worth the price I think.
Delicious meal....from picked vegetables and grits to bison steak and salmon. Service was also great. Adding this to our list of favorites.
Noisy, way too loud!!!
Way too loud, conversation was shouts.
Left restaurant horse!
Beyond amazing food, especially the sides. Mains are big enough for 2! Amazing servers. Recommend x100.
The Shakshuka was horrible. Very surprising based on word of mouth reviews of restaurant.
This is an absolutely amazing restaurant, from the delicious food and creative cocktails, to the fabulous wait staff and gorgeous ambiance. I would definitely recommend this excellent spot to anyone!
Flint Creek's brunch menu is interesting, inventive and innovative. Service was excellent, Luke was very attentive, helpful with menu explanations and suggestions and personable. Space can get noisy when busy and alcohol flowing but at early brunch time on a Saturday was quite moderate. Venison and hazelnut pate on brioche benedict was excellent. Sour cream coffee cake made an excellent shared starter.
Go here. Seriously.
The food took forever to arrive. Our server apologized for the tardiness of our first course- burata with nectarines so nothing to fancy and offered us some bread. The first course final arrived much later after her apologies. The two tables that were seated next to us where served their mains before us. It took forever for our mains to arrive. They were good- pork shop and bison hangar steak, but nothing earth shattering. I might give them another try, but have not experience such slow food coming out in eons.
The food is so so good... Staff was great, and the bar menu was top notch.
Food was incredibly creative and really good! We are
a foodie family and we’re celebrating Birthdays I have to say the service was really poor. It kind of knocked down the experience for us. We were seated in a tight space for 5, our
waiter was training someone so both he and the trainee seemed very inexperienced in serving in a restaurant of FC caliber. Drinks were late, or misssd. Plates piled up, and we were served all the shared plates at once. I will say the food was the star of the show!
One of favorite spots to celebrate with a fine meal. The menu always delights and the staff are great.
