   Flight is one of my daughter’s favorite restaurants and last night she took me as part of a Mother’s Day weekend while I am visiting. She was worried that she was overselling it but she was wrong, it was absolutely perfect in every way. Truly. Portions are nice and we finished our wine flights, burrata appetizer and entrees (my scallops and her beef skewers) and pleasantly full. We shared the dessert, a very thin fried crispy dough with vanilla ice cream, and again, perfect size, presentation and flavor. I couldn’t recommend this more highly!

   Flight Wine Bar was a thoroughly delightful experience, thanks to Josh, one of DC's best servers. He helped us select flights of very interesting wine and order food to go with it. The food was good, not great, but the experience overall could hardly have been nicer. We'll be back!

   My husband and I had a fabulous experience. The wine selections for the Flights did not disappoint. The server Kathy J did a great job explaining the wine flights and made a few great suggestions. I couldn’t say enough good things about the food. We ordered the garlic shrimp and beef skewers…loved both. I would definitely come back again when in the Washington DC area.

   Very cute restaurant! Drinks and wine were really good. Loved the options for wine flights as well. The food was good too. A little pricey for what get, but on par for a nice place in DC. Went here after the basketball game and was not full. So if you wanna drinks after the game, I’d recommend this place!

   The server was very knowledgeable and offered great suggestions. The staff overall was very kind and welcoming. The ambiance was nice and cozy, with dim lighting and a beautifully constructed bar. However, I'm unlikely to return because of the limited menu items and not providing standard wine glasses to taste the wine.

    Wonderful restaurant! Beautiful, cozy, sophisticated and imaginative interior, interesting menu impeccably executed with terrific wine and drink selections. Vegetarian options. Hosts/owners extremely welcoming, friendly and efficient. This place is clearly a labor of love. So much fun to try different wine pairings with the food. A real gem in a city of great restaurants. Good for date night or friendly get together, and can work with older kids—we had our 14 year old in tow and he loved it. Easy walk from Gallery Pl/Chinatown metro station. So glad we found it—we’ll be back!!!

    Our first time to Flight and there was nothing but delicious food, attentive service and an utterly relaxing (though somewhat loud) and beautiful dining room/bar. Lovely! Highly recommended!

    The experience at Flight Wine was wonderful. The food was excellent and the selections of drinks was numerous. The atmosphere was very cool with the intimate space and bar design. Overall, I would definitely go there again.

    such good ambiance and such good service!!! apps were good but honestly the mains were lacking. especially at this price point theres no excuse for that. mains were very bare minimum and low effort, lacked originality. the price was too high for the quality served. HOWEVER. the ambiance, drinks, service, and apps were ALL great parts of the experience!!!!! i wouldve had a 5/5 time if i didnt order an entree. would def go again!!! please make better fresher more original food or charge less for what you have if you cant do that!!

    I had a great friend-date here… the wine pairings are so interesting and delicious. The lighting is soft and low, so it’s a lovely place to have a long catch-up. Service was friendly and not obtrusive. I loved the automatic 20% service charge being added to the bill - they let you know ahead of time and they earned every cent.

    Great service, nice atmosphere (acoustics made for a slightly loud meal), very, very solid wine list, and great food. I ordered a bottle of 2018 Syrah from the Rhone Valley. I priced the same bottle from my wine shop at home, and the restaurant markup was quite reasonable. From the minute I walked in, the service was outstanding. I did have a reservation, so I was seated immediately. I knew what I wanted to drink from viewing the online menu, so I placed my wine order immediately. The manager came out to tell me some more about the wine, which I really appreciated. The waitress was attentive during my entire meal, as was the manager. I had the arancini which was outstanding, and the steak skewers with broccolini and potatoes, which were also really outstanding. The steak and veggies were cooked perfectly, as were the potatoes and broccolini, and the chimichurri sauce that came with it was a great compliment to the dish. Upon receiving the check, I was notified that the wait staff are on salary and part of their compensation comes from a flat 10% fee added to each check, so no tip was necessary. I greatly appreciated that, and since the service was so good, left a small cash tip for the waitress. Overall great experience. Looking forward to going back on my next trip to DC.

    The service was extremely slow. Additionally, every other table around us was given great service. They explained the wines being served and the food pairing. We did not get any of that service even after we joke with the waiter that we were not getting treated the same. The only difference is that we were African American. I hope that’s not what it was because but there was no other reason.

    It was a really good evening, great service, delicious food and excellent wine. The waitress was superb, giving excellent advice and allowing us to order course by course. Each dish was delicious and there were numerous choices. We chose 2 unusual wines, an Etna white and a Greek red, and they were both great.

    If you are looking for a nice, cute little spot to grab a drink before a Caps game or a nice spot for a date, Flight is perfect! The aesthetic is adorable, with warm, cozy lighting. All servers I’ve had there have been excellent as well - very knowledgeable about the wine selection! I brought my parents there and even though my dad is not a wine person, he found a wine he really enjoyed.

    Went for NYE, our first time there. Servers were very kind, but slow. Took too long between each course. Food was bland; not terrible, but didn’t hv any great bites. When we got the check, we almost laughed. It’s was what we’d expect to pay at a 5-star, once-a-decade sort of restaurant, not for a pedestrian 3-star place. Ambience was quiet, good location. I want to write a kinder review, bc the server and Mgr were really nice. All in all, certainly not worth the $$$.

    As a wine bar, my wife and I expected higher quality wine. Frankly, both their white and red wine offerings were a step above box wine. Additionally, we’ve never experienced white wine served at room temperature. To us, the target market for this place is young people who have not yet developed their wine palate.

    Food is absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the wine and wait staff was helpful yet unpretentious about offering wine recommendations. Service staff was lovely, we only wish there was one in Colorado!
