We had a reservation and didn’t know there were tables outside and chose inside first as it was windy. After several minutes we checked outside and decided to sit there as we still didn’t have a server acknowledge us yet. We were then seated outside and there was a Bachelor Watch show blaring through several speakers and playing on several tv’s. We waited ten minutes and never got acknowledged for even water or a drink and got up and left. We saw several table inside that weren’t waited on either. It’s unfortunate, as the outdoor space is unique. They definitely need to train their servers better and/or hire more of them to accommodate their customers.
Our experience started off pretty negatively - we were seated right away for our 2:00 pm brunch reservation on Sunday for two (no wait at all) BUT then no one approached the table until about 2:25pm AFTER I had to say something to a passing hostess. I have been in the hospitality industry for quite sometime I understand a rush happens but atleast 3 different waitress walked passed my table and said nothing - not even a hello.
After the waitress (I believe her name was elan) finally came she almost seemed less than excited to be helping us. I decided to get up and ask the hostess to move from outside to inside because our waitress was just given three more tables and I had a feeling this meal was about to go much worse.
After moving inside seated on the high top table, we had a new male waiter (can’t recall his name) who was AMAZING. He completely turned the afternoon around. We got our food quickly (everything tasted amazing) and our bottomless mimosas were always filled to the very top!
I wouldn’t have felt the need to write the review but half way through the meal the first waitress approached the table and questioned as to why we moved from her table. She never apologized which is what I was very upset about. But all in all the meal ended on a fabulous note.
Everything was great. I ordered the jerk chicken tacos. Chicken was flavorful, greens were amazing, the beans and rice made me sad though no seasoning at all. But everything else was awesome!
WAIT STAFF WAS LACKING. HAD TO WAIT FOR OVER 15 MINUTES FOR DRINKS. FOOD TOOK ALMOST AN HOUR. WHEN WE FIRST SAT DOWN OUR WAITRESS DIDN'T EVEN ASK US OUR DRINK ORDER. SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE IN EVER WHICH WAY POSSIBLE.
Bottomless mimosas were FLAT champagne, food was unimpressive, and we had to wait an hour for a table despite our reservation. Will not go back.
Food was great. Service was awful. Definitely ruined the experience.
The food is always amazing. But the waitress hardly visited our table and spilled a drink in my friend. Love the food but the service almost always needs help
I’ve been several times before and decided to bring some friends for the bottomless drinks and good food an atmosphere. We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
It was a great spot for brunch. The service was great and ambience was as well.
Made a reservation for a birthday dinner. Our waitress was terrible and inattentive. I had to ask for drinks that were ordered when we were seated to be delivered because our appetizers had arrived and our drinks hadn’t. The waitress didn’t even come back to ask us for refills or see how our food was. We will never go back. Such a waste of money and time.
Server was terrible! We ordered apps as soon as we got in, waited 45 mins for them to come out with our entrees. We got seated 3:50 and it was told by our server that bottomless mimosas were over for the day , which was a lie, it ended at 4. Asked for a manager, she didn’t even listen to my concerns and scurried away to get my soup that had not come out. I never got my soup.
Maybe if they were in high school or college! I'm totally over the noise, dress code and obnoxious customers scene.
The food came out wrong and cold. I asked for chicken to be brought out before entrees...everything came out at the same time. The bottomless mimosas were good.
Bottomless mimosas and sparkling rose’ were great. Eggs Benedict and Jerk Enchilada were delicious. The hamburger flatbread fell flat, hardly any meat or cheese. More of a ketchup, mustard and pickle flatbread. Very disappointing. Service was ok considering how busy it was.
Took a while to get a server to our table. Slow service too.
Family from Australia came to visit
Took 30 mins before I was seated. Food was not hot. Waffles over cooked. Waiter was not attentive.
The food was ok. I dont think I ever seen such a small English muffin in my life. 0ur waiter care more about his bigger tables than his little teo top sitting outside. Not to mention he didnt write down our order and forgot the grilled onions on our burger. Saw the people behind us waiter more than ours.
We arrived on time for our 12:30pm reservation, however we were told that the manager decided not to honor OpenTable reservations. We waited over an hour to be seated. Inexcusable...
I have been here many times and do enjoy it. We came for my mom’s birthday and it was ok. I did not love the table we were at, the food was mediocre and the service took long even though it was not too busy. I will not be back for a while.
The food was amazing and the service was great! I will recommend this place to everyone!
This place was okay. Service was absolutely terrible. Food was mediocre, but prices and drinks were good. I’d go back for a cool place to get drinks, but my expectations will be set low.
Our service was excellent. We were accommodated when we arrived an hour earlier than our reservation. Drinks were amazing and our food came out super fast. We recommend this restaurant!
Great (great!) food, cool decor, friendly staff, but a bit disorganized (so, slow).
Some friends and I ate here for New Years Eve. The food and atmosphere was good but poor service. I attribute the poor service to the fact that it was New Years Eve. Drinks, food, and bill took too long to come out. Glad we weren't in a rush to get anywhere.
The food was excellent! All the appetizers looked amazing. Wish they had an appetizer sampler platter to be able to try them all.
Unfortunately, we decided on Flamingo A-Go-Go as a mid-day lunch spot. It was a nice day and the open courtyard dining area was barely half-full. We approached the hostess stand and was told they were closing the courtyard since rain was moving in and unless we had a reservation it would be an 1.5 hour wait.
While it was cloudy there was no rain on the radar but I was able to get online and make a reservation with only a 45 min wait. We walked around the beautiful area as we waited for those 45 min to pass, it never did rain and actually the sun was out and it was beautiful.
We arrived back at the hostess stand 5 min early and was told to wait on a bench as they prepared a table for us. Of course, we noticed the courtyard was still open and now mostly full and the inside was loud and full with the Saints game playing on every television.
We waited almost 20 minutes for our table and finally we were led, yep, you guessed it, to the courtyard to be seated.
They first tried to seat our party of 5 around a tree table that seated 12. Ummm, no thank you. Next they moved to a coffee sized table and wanted to squeeze in another chair- nope. Finally we noticed two picnic tables pushed together that would be perfect and asked to sit there.
10 minutes later we were approached by I think a manager and were asked if we’d been helped, “nope”.
He started to take our order when our actual waitress wandered up and asked what he was doing, ummm, your job. She finished taking orders and promptly brought us the round of waters we asked for.
15 min later our waitress stopped by to say our food would be up in a few minutes.
15 minutes later, we left.
All I could see were drinks being refilled and in the 40 min we waited, I tray of food delivered.
What a joke and I’m actually glad we didn’t waste our money there, although we waisted a total of 1hr, 40 min and never did eat lunch. Lesson learned.
Shrimp and grits should not jiggle like jello when they bring them to the table
Everything was sticky and service was poor.
Horrible! We had a reservation for 4 on a Saturday night and we were seated quickly, but we never got a waitress. The restaurant wasn't busy at all, mostly empty. I asked the hostess if we could sit outside and she told me no.
We finally got up and left and walked to another restaurant. No one even asked why we were leaving. Very bizarre.
Nothing fancy, but the food is very good, with many dishes creatively prepared.
The restaurant is perfect if you are going to the World War II museum and would like a lunch break. Great Froze drinks. ( wine and vodka frozen drink) some night are 2 for 1. Great place to watch a game as well. Really cute outside area with neon flamingos and a vintage truck.
We didn’t feel like cooking on Christmas evening, so checked to see who would be open that had a relaxed vibe. The manager greeted us and told us that since she was short on servers, she would be taking care of us. You wouldn’t have known that they were short-staffed, because all of our food and beverages came out quickly and at the perfect temps. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Highlights included the frose (frozen rose), fried shrimp appetizer, and po’ boys. Fun setting, good seafood, friendly service - what more could you want?
Are server was amazing and the food was great. I would recommend this to anyone, and I'll be back for more. If you go ask for allen, you can tell he loves his job.
The waiter, Alan j was extremely pleasant. They are a bit understaffed but overall a good experience
We were provided plastic utensils and no plates for appetizers. Service was unresponsive. Drinks were lacking. Some food items were good. Others were overly salty.
It was a little over rated but our server was amazing.
Had a GREAT time, even with the saints losing hahaha!
