Amazing Soul Food & Vibes! If you’re visiting Detroit, this spot is a must-try! The soul food was absolutely delicious — it honestly tasted like my grandmother was back in the kitchen. The vibe was warm and welcoming, with great music that added to the experience. And the jar of Kool-Aid? Took me right back to my childhood. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance — it gets busy, and for good reason!

I had a very disappointing experience during my visit. The chicken in my sandwich was undercooked, with some parts appearing visibly raw and unsafe to eat. In addition, the staff repeatedly got our table’s orders wrong, creating unnecessary confusion and delays. When I brought the issue of the undercooked chicken to the manager's attention, she responded defensively instead of acknowledging the concern or offering a solution. Given the poor food quality and lack of professional customer service, I do not plan to return.

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. We had 4 people in our party and every one was raving about the food and having a hard time picking a favorite.

Very good experience. Food was delicious ambiance was nice. Staff is kind but some were a bit clueless on what to do when we were given another table’s order and our waitress wasn’t around at the time. Nonetheless, our waitress was attentive and knowledgeable and cleared things up quickly.

I will dream about the Mac and cheese and fried chicken! The collard greens were some of the best I’ve ever had! This is a must-go-to in Detroit!

I celebrated my birthday on yesterday 6/27 everything was great.. I plan to return sooon.. That PYT drink was oooh we good.. thanks for a wonderful first time experience.

Food was really good. Good portions and great flavor. Service however was extremely slow. Had 5 different waitstaff pass by the table multiple times without even acknowledging the table. No waters. (Also had to ask for more water when glasses were empty) Sat for 15ish minutes before our server came. When she did she said “hey I know you’ve been sitting for a long time wanna put your order in now?” (Got drinks right before food hit the table…) No apologies for the wait… Also, she never smiled one time. The hospitality needs some work here. Felt rushed at that point. We’re never asked if we wanted dessert at the end…would have only upped her check average. Will try again because food was good… hopefully service will be better next time.
