Fixe Biscuits #1
whipped Steen's butter
We went to Fixe for a friend’s birthday lunch. Food is always outstanding the service is impeccable. Pro tip:: always get the biscuits! They are so delicious.
Very very nice atmosphere and service. Great server - Kevin. Just overall a bit pricey for regular dining, but good for special occasions.
We celebrated our 39th anniversary with dinner. Everything was great!!
THE BISCUITS WERE BOMB. WOW. If you care about food that feels looks and tastes like it was made with care than this is the place for you.
This is the first time the restaurant actually looked at my food preferences associated with my open table profile. The waitress was excellent and had already memorized the gluten free options I could choose from. From start to finish, she was fantastic and honestly one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had. Kudos to Fixe for training your staff so well and having delicious food!
Flies everywhere outside! And the staff aaid they were worse the days before...which does bode well for sanitation. This was not a small amount, there were at least 50. And their fans weren't working.
Very expensive, food quality and service is just average. In reality the place has nice ambiance, but other than that, nothing extraordinary.
The order of 3 biscuits, $11.
The fried chicken was very dry and the portion is very little for the $20 you pay. The pot pie is nothing extraordinary, portion is normal, but in my opinion $30 is very expensive for it. I guess is one of the places where you pay for what the place looks like and where it is, rather than quality food. At least I can speak about what we ordered. Sad to say, but first and last time there!
Great experience, from start to finish. Chris is fantastic.
Went for lunch. The restaurant is lovely but thought the chopped salad with seafood, although tasty, a bit pricey for the size and amount of seafood. The fried fish was nothing special. Had trouble getting staff’s attention once food was served.
We have weekly brunch here. Food is very reasonably priced, tastes delicious, and the staff is wonderful.
The food was great. The Waiter was knowledgeable about the menu & we had a wonderful time.
IOur server (Kyle) was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, personable and kind. We got a chance to engage in small talk and he bragged a lot about the owners and how much of an impact they have made on their employees. The food was excellent as always!
Shout out to Fixe Southern House for being an awesome place to eat and having a great staff that make a difference in the experience.
Restaurant wasn’t busy, but service was sparse and distracted. Took 10 minutes just to see our waiter to get water and drinks after being seated. Drinks and water regularly ran out at the table for extended periods of time, and items were forgotten more than once. Appetizer plates were dirty when handed to us. The food was great, as always, but with the continued increase in price and deteriorating service, we may have to look to other options for a regular dining experience.
We went out to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they accommodated us our specialized needs. The staff took such great care of my family. The personalized birthday card and gift they gave my wife was an amazing touch to a wonderful dinner we had!!! Thank you again Fixe for making our experience amazing!
Just get the biscuits and go. If you trust me on this you will save some $$$$!
The evening on the patio was awesome!! Really enjoyed our evening & our waiter was GREAT!! He deserves recognition!!
2nd time here, brought my little brother this time for his birthday. This place is extremely on top of it, gracious, and intentional. We were running late, and my wife running even later, and Fixe accommodated effortlessly. The 3 of us are from Louisiana, so have a fair understanding of how this cuisine should taste. The kitchen knocks it out of the park. Monte was an amazing server, second to none. They surprised my little brother with a hand written card at the end of our night, and he absolutely loved it. Such a memorable experience. You can tell the folks care by how good the food tastes and by the superior service. We felt behind and flustered due to our emergency beforehand, but Fixe said no rush and they meant it.
As always, the food never disappoints. The meal was outstanding, the biscuits stand out as second to none. Michelle, our server, was extremely personable and attentive to our needs. Always an enjoyable experience.
The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly but lacked flavor. The Pork Chop was good, The best part of the meal was the overpriced biscuits. The sides (Broccolini and Brussel Sprouts) were OK but were honestly underwhelming and not portioned to share with others, Overall the food tasted fine but not exceptional. I was unpleasantly surprised that Happy Hour pricing was limited to the bar area only , especially since we were sitting 20 feet from the bar. Lastly, the environment was nice, service was good but the portions and price did not represent a good value by any stretch. Unfortunately I cannot recommend Fixe to other diners.
Great food, great service
Every time I go to Fixe I have to ask to have the temperature turned up! I wait about 20 minutes to see if I can handle it, but it's always blowing cold air like crazy...I don't like to have to eat my food in 5 minutes or have it be stone cold. They are always accommodating, but I just don't get why restaurants don't understand we don't like cold food...it's not a Sushi Bar! Also, our server seemed a bit inexperienced, but was nice. We drive a long way to come here and do love the restaurant very much.
We were first time diners here on Mother's Day for breakfast and it was exceptional. The famous biscuits were amazing, as well as, the different main course fare. I wouldn't hesitate to dine here again or recommend Fixe.
We came here for pre-Mother's Day dinner (Saturday) and everything was excellent. Must try dishes are the biscuits, hushpuppies and friend sweet potatoes. I got the fried chicken as an entrée which comes with a kale salad. The portions here are generous, and you do not need to get a side, however we were glad we did. The chicken was moist and flavorful and not greasy. My mom had the vegetarian and she loved it! Healthy and interesting. For drinks I had the Fixe 75. It was refreshing but the lemon was a tad overpowering. We will be back!
Great pre-Mother’s day lunch on the patio! Two bottles of champagne and four biscuits snd we’re off to a great start!
No doggy bag here. My family scarfed up everything. Fantastic comfort food. The staff takes pride in the quality.
We ordered "The vegetarian" and it came out with TONS of onions, which aren't even listed in the ingredients on the menu. It seemed like the whole dish was onion! very few brussel sprouts and minimal farro. When we mentioned it to the wait staff they said well they always include the onions - sorry! If its something that is always in the dish - it should be listed especially if it is in such HIGH quantity!
It was fantastic-the brunch is to die for!!
The only hiccup was the hostess was short with us after asking if we could sit outside. Chris, our waiter, was fantastic!!
Biscuits are a must! They came out warm and so yummy! They sing In your mouth they are that good. I ordered the lobster and crawfish pot pie and was expecting it to be bigger for the price. Portions are small, But very cool vibe. Not sure if we will be back again though. Quite expensive for what you get and service wasn’t great.
The the breakfast was disappointing we won't be returning there for a while hopefully they can improve their food quality
The food as always was amazing! The service was not good. It took over 2 hours to have lunch.
Great food! Biscuits rock! Went with seafood all around and it was awesome. Anxious to return and try the pork chop or streak- both looked really really good.
Food too expensive for such small selection but was good.
Deviled eggs were good, but nothing life changing. Biscuits were really good for Fort Worth, but woud be average in the deep south. My wife got Shrimp and grits which were ok, nothing special. I got the redfish and grits and the fish was excellent but they put something in the grits which gave them an off putting lumpy texture which I didn't like. Beer and wine selection was good. Service was good. Wasn't offered dessert so can't comment there. Restaurant was busy, people seemed to be happy with their meals I just may have missed on my entree selection. However, I don't know if I'd return based on my first experience. Overall I'd rate it a 6 or 7 on a scale of 1-10.
nice staff--delicious biscuits--great brunch place
It was great! Enjoyed the food and hospitality!
Good date night. First time there. Good variety of menu items. Whiskey flight options were a bonus.
Food was excellent as always! Went during happy hour and our table had a sampling of pulled pork sandwich, sweet potatoes, deviled eggs, Brussels sprouts and biscuits. All delicious. Great service from Kyle, our waiter!
Michele was great. Just overall a great evening with good food, drinks, and live music from the place across the street.
Excellent food at a competitive price. Limited mixed drink options (beer, wine, or whisky). Service is outstanding.
