Fitzroy Wine Cellar & Kitchen
Let us introduce ourselves…
In the culinary climate of today where everybody tries to impress with special effects and often gimmicks we have decided to go in the opposite direction and try to rediscover the pleasure of simple dishes, our own original recipes and the essence of homemade preparation.
Our quest is to bring to the table a selection of traditional regional dishes, the backbone of world-renowned Italian cuisine.
We get our supplies from the local markets Billingsgate and New Covent Garden, where chefs gain additional inspiration for the menu and the special dishes of day.
Hope to welcome you soon …

Excellent service and recommendations. It was quiet but deserved to be a lot busier as food was delicious.
Really delicious food for such a good price. Good wine too
love the food and ambience of the restaurant.
very affordable as well
Fantastic service, high quality food and wine: excellent
The service is very slow and takes forever even not many tables to Look after.
It was a special day with my best friend. And I don't think I would go again and recommend it to anyone I know.
The service was great and the food was excellent but the portions were small and despite there being just two of us, our drinks and food were brought out separately which was a little annoying so one of us had to wait ages. However the staff were lovely and I would go back.
I booked this place for a friend’s birthday. The food was great. I would certainly go back. However I did note on the booking that it was a friend’s birthday. I wasn’t expecting anything but an acknowledgement from staff or a simple happy birthday would have been nice. Other than this, I really enjoyed it. The heaters outside helped in this weather!
Fantastic food and atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here
Really nice place, and great food as well, unfortunately the cheese selection was really tiny. Also, our table was too close to another one, so not great if you would like to have some privacy. Except for that, I really recommend it.
Small menu exquisitely cooked food. The only problem was it was cold outside, we will return when we can eat indoors again. Would definitely recommend.
Option to eat at 10pm even though the kitchen closes at 10? We were sat rather rudely by a waitress with a serious attitude problem. Scallops tasted like they were served with dish water and most things tasted of nothing. Truffle fries were the only thing to save this experience. We had one small aperol spritz and then we’re told it was last orders. Very very disappointing, as last time we enjoyed the meal but we will not be returning. Probably best to go anywhere else to at least get some flavour.
Amazing little Italian winery, good food and very nice list of wine! They went above and beyond to make sure we were protected from the rain and warm enough! Definetely recommended
The starters were very good, the main gnocchi needed a bit more salt.
As usual we watched other diners food come out and wished we were having what they had...some of it looked really good
We sat on the corner table, the wind got to us a bit so it was cold. Had we been on one of the more sheltered tables it would have been great.
The toilets were down quite steep stairs, as I have a bad knee they were a little difficult to get to.
I was driving so couldn't drink, else we would have been happy to stay for another hour or so, as it was a pleasant enough place.
Incredibly tasty and inventive Italian dishes. The most amazing truffle burrata, prawns and ham, cod bites ... and and and! And a quite delicious Italian rose fizz. Will definitely be back when we can eat inside!!
The menu is short, easy to choose what to order. The food was good. The staff was friendly, all italians. With covid restrictions, we ate outside which was ok. The street is quiet. The time to wait for the food was a bit long, they said it is because the kitchen is very small.
Amazing food (I ordered the steak )
Food was tasty
Fabulous food from the south of Italy. Small but great Italian wine list. A new favourite for sure
Nice meal. Mussels were rather small and could have been more plump for the meal type. But good service and quiet street to enjoy a chat with a friend
Service was too too slow - like even for a basic table set up with cutlery bringing glasses for water plates etc. The drinks and food took forever!!
I understand outdoor dining but here we were sitting midst construction work! And rubbish from next door shop!
Managed to get a last minute booking for dinner on a Saturday night. Sat outdoors with heaters. The food was really lovely and authentic and had lots of Italian people also eating in there. The service was a little lacking if I'm truthful but didn't spoil the evening.
We booked here last minute, the only place we could find online with outdoor tables left on a Saturday! It was amazing! Everything we had was delicious and we will definitely be returning!
Lovely restaurant in a quaint neighborhood. Excellent service and food was very delicious. We had the burrata, bruschetta, gnochi. All dishes were excellent. Great collection of wines as well.
Definitely not going back.
Had a few dishes to share, the spaghetti with spicy sauce and the swordfish - both dishes were covered in the exact same sauce even though descriptions on menu said otherwise (chef must have gotten lazy and decided to just cover majority of their dishes in the same thing) also had way too many olives /capers. Saw another person order a different pasta dish and again looked like it had been drenched in same exact sauce. Not sure what that was all about?
Even worse we found a black hair in the spaghetti dish.
Service super slow and waiter didn’t know any of the dishes. The tables are so tight outside you are eating on top of others - that’s fine but just not what I was expecting.
It is a shame because the music and vibe inside looked decent and they all seem to be mostly Italian so I had higher hopes.
We sat outside in the sunshine for lunch with good food and pleasant, unobtrusive service. We had authentic ham and cheese platters, delicious bread, wine, desserts and coffee. It almost felt like Italy, but for the commanding view of the BT tower! The street was quiet with little traffic. It was a lovely experience after lockdown. A really nice small, local, independent restaurant.
Now on my 5th visit. Lovely home made pasta tonight with a special octopus ragu. Glass of Nero d’Avola wine to accompany. Proper espresso to finish. Nice ambience and not too busy or noisy. I’ll be back.
Lovely meal, great food and service. Friendly staff.
This is a great place for a casual and excellent meal, in a cozy environment, where the manager cares about the food and the customer. Highly recommend it.
A lovely place to meet friends, and eat delicious food. Very relaxed and the staff very attentive. Even turned the music down for us. I'd recommend you book as it gets busy
Best caprese I have ever had!! Cozy & intimate setting.
A great local restaurant providing quality food. A lovely ambience with friendly staff.
Very friendly, good service. Decent menu choice, not huge, but everything freshly prepared. Waitress was exceptional, giving very good advice on food selection, even suggesting that we shared main course between two plates etc.
Very good value tucked-away Italian
Very nice restaurant with good food. Staff were great too. Only things that let it down were that we tried to order three different wines from an already limited wine list and they were all out of stock. Also, we liked the golf act the restaurant was small and you could see the kitchen, but, we all cane out smelling of cooking, so I think that needs thinking about. That said, overall, we had a great time and the fresh, homemade pasta was superb!
GREAT EVERYTHING. GOOD PASTA ALSO. WE ALSO COME BACK ANOTHER TIME
A hidden gem, really good find. Limited wine list offers a lot of value ... excellent food. Place is cosy, out door seating in good weather.... excellent service and wove suggestions by the server.
Small neighbourhood restaurant, quiet, good wine list.
We ate here for my friend's birthday ! Lovely food with a very welcoming waitress ! We will come back for sure !
We had a nice meal at Fitzroy wine Cellar and Kitchen. The food was very palatable but the portions were quite small.
Excellent food, as always. Short but very good wine list. Will definitely be back.
An enjoyable meal with very tasty food and reasonably priced wine. It is a fairly small restaurant but friendly staff and we would be happy to return again.
