We dined before a Millenium Park concert. Mussels and frites are always a treat-and they offer several different preparations. We enjoyed the cocktails and beer selection as well.
I love this restaurant! It’s our go-to downtown place for drinks, dinner, and everything in between.
I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and we had a great experience. The service was great, the food was great, and the restaurant was accommodating to the occasion. I would definitely return.
Fantastic Mussels...we ordered them three ways and they were all outstanding! Interesting Bruch menu. Great Service!
Wonderful menu in pleasant setting. High ceilings, however, make for quite a bit of crowd noise, so try to get a location along the wall or windows. Not a huge menu, but a super variety nonetheless. Having just been in Brussels, seeing fine Belgium fare in the heart of Chicago was cool. Excellent waitress; very attentive staff.
The mussels and frites were outstanding!!!
The wait staff was helpful, upbeat and personable
The entrees were well crafted and delicious.
The restaurant was busy yet quiet enough that we could comfortably chat.
We shall return...
The service was excellent and the food was even better! Creative food that would satisfy almost anyone’s taste buds! The server was extremely attentive and kept replacing our silverware and dishes with every entree. One of my most favorite spots in the city!
Great seafood with lovely atmosphere!
this is a pleasant solid . my lobster roll was good but not great could have used more lobster.
service was top-notch. a nice place for lunch.
The food was excellent. Gnocchi was cooked to perfection. Light and airy, which is hard to do with gnocchi. And the sauce and veg was suburb. Seriously an outstanding meal. Get the rum cake for dessert.
I had mussels (curry preparation) my husband had the octopus with squid-ink pasta - both were excellent. Service was both friendly and prompt. We'll be back soon.
Really enjoyed this new spot in the Loop. It is perfect for a pre-theater dinner. I loved the classic mussels and the frites. What I liked was that there were several mussel choices and six aioli/ketchup choices for the frites. The ice cream for dessert was also great. Don't miss it.
Server was charming but service was slow. There was a large noisy party in the lower room but none the less we enjoyed our dinner
The food was great. We started with the charcuterie plate, which was wonderful, as were the mussels. Extensive beer list.
Mussels are awesome.
Wonderful nugget in the loop. Have come for mussels, beer, frites and raw bar. All meals were delicious. Slightly salty across the board but matches well with the beer
A great new spot with spot on food and atmosphere - good beer selection and the mussels were great -
This new Chicago restaurant is a hit! I went with a friend from the East Coast, who is incredibly picky about his seafood meals, and we were both very impressed with the quality of the muscles. We also ordered some oysters, which were fresh & delicious. The food was incredible, as was the service. I will definitely be going back again!
The mussels, frites and beer are fantastic. We also had 2 vegetable sides and they were both excellent. Service was great. Samantha was excellent.
Our specific table server was not very good. She was very slow and it wasn’t that busy in the restaurant. She didn’t really seem to care. The host greeting however, was very friendly and welcoming, and the bartender was fun and inviting as well!
Great overall experience. Delicious dishes at an affordable price, compared to other restaurants in the area.
Definitely will be back
Excellent vegetable options! Great value and terrific blend of tastes. Service was average to spotty when the restaurant got busy. On the list to make a return visit.
Everything was great. Will return when back in town again.
Mussels were excellent, so was the goat cheese cheesecake. The fries were nothing special, but the dipping sauces were very good.
This replacement for So. Water Kitchen hits the marks on food and service but misses on value and wine. We started with appetizers: lobster bisque, kale Caesar salad and sauerkraut horseradish pierogi all of which were very good or outstanding (the pierogi was A+ and the kale salad an A). The main courses followed suit. Everything we ate (octopus Bolognese, sole meuniere and proscuitto-wrapped Chilean sea bass) was beautifully presented and delicious. The negative? Fisk & Co. is not a good value. Portions are small and prices are high. $30 for a generic sole with butter sauce (could be anything - grey sole, lemon sole, etc. which runs about $12-14 per pound, but I guarantee it wasn't Dover Sole)? That is pricey. Catch 35, just down the street has a wider variety of seafood, a significant wine list and generous portions for about the same cost. Service was professional and attentive without being too friendly. Final beef: a very short wine list with significant gaps in coverage. Only one CA chardonnay was available ($54 p.b.), which, considering the seafood forward menu, is particularly disappointing. We did not have the mussel selections (a feature here) but thought there were many beers that would be particularly good choices.
Beautiful interior. Very good food. Classic mussels were excellent; frites with various sauces were great; lobster roll was rich and very flavorful. I'll return for more great seafood.
Love the team behind Fisk & Co. The food is great too! Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I’m not a shellfish lover, and I would eat nearly everything on the menu. Something for everyone. The service is attentive. Perfect for breakfast and lunch business meetings.
Gorgeous room! Food was wonderful-can’t wait to return and try more of the mussels options. Fantastic experience all around.
Mimi, our waitress, said that Fisk and Co. was first and foremost about steamed mussels and beer, with some Belgian frites on the side.
She was right. All of the above were first-rate, as was the enthusiasm 'for the hot new-place' personified by our server.
My only ding is the $1/per Happy Hour oysters from the Chesapeake Bay
- not old, but not that new. Fresh is everything when it comes to oysters....
I celebrated my Birthday here & it was really nice !
The mussels were delicious & a drink on the house in lieu of dessert was a special treat . One suggestion would be to allow for 1/2 orders & maybe allow diners to taste the different sauce preparations as this would help knowing which to order. Our server was exceptional however I can’t remember his name
Very busy and unusually long wait for food. Fortunately, had an excellent waiter
named Fidel that kept us informed and made a nice evening for us despite the kitchen.
At 6:15 on a Thursday night the noise level was deafening. The service was terrible; after having to flag down the manager to order drinks, it still took another 20 minutes fto get a glass of wine, vodka on the rocks, and a martini. Getting our food was equally challenging. The mussels were good but the frites were so so. Was very disappointed and won't go back
Excellent food. Interesting menu. But noise was overwhelming. Reconfiguring space and noise absorption materials might help.
We enjoyed a weeknight dinner and were fortunate to arrive in time for happy hour (4-6 pm Mom-Fri) when a chosen variety of oyster from the menu is offered at $1 each. We also ordered the Chef's Seafood Board which included four servings of cold seafood appetizers. Finally we had an order of mussels. Each was plump and delicious, none were off. Unfortunately we did not try the frites, a good reason to go back. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Glad to have Fisk & Co in our neighborhood.
Quality food and service for lunch. Nice open atmosphere with plenty of light.
Coconut curry mussels!!! Rum cake!!! Need to go back now!!!
Great New Find near River North.... Fresh Oyster Bar - Amazing selection of Mussels...
Attentive Service... and Moderate Prices......
Very loud, very over priced.
Oyster were really good but everything else was horrible
My kind of place! Dollar oysters from 4pm - 6pm every day! Fresh seafood. A raw bar! The service was stellar! My only complaint is that the chairs at the raw bar are uncomfortable and not the right height for the bar. Otherwise, two thumbs up!!
I ordered an appetizer and an entree and wasn't happy with either. The burger was overcooked and I think they mixed old fries with new ones because they were varied temperatures / levels of cooked. Some were so hard I couldn't bite into it. I didn't complain but the waitress noticed I didn't eat much of it and removed the entree from my bill even though I insisted they didn't need to do that.
