Fabulous food and great customer service we will definitely return
Very nice Resturant in Covent Garden, lovely scattered and great choices from the menu. Well worth a visit. Definitely be back too. Crab was lovely and so much of it too.
We had dinner on Saturday night and we were not disappointed. We had a sharing platter to start which was more than enough for 2. We struggled to finish it. Mains were Dover sole and Lobster thermador. Both delicious. Generous portion sizes for every course. A great buzz about the restaurant, although Iwould have been slightly disappointed if I been sat in the basement. It's a bit subdued down there. Service excellent. I would highly recommend.
Excellent meal and would highly recommend.
And venue is just awesome
Food and service excellent. Grade for food value for money would be 4 or 5, but overall reduced to 3 by overpriced wine.
Food and drink menu excellent, food served in a timely manner without feeling rushed. Service was excellent, despite being very busy, still able to take order from memory and place food accurately. Really impressed with all
This was the first time we had eaten at the Covent Garden restaurant. We have eaten at the Marylebone restaurant three or four times.
The Covent Garden restaurant is far larger and a very different ambience. However we enjoyed it just as much as we do when we go to the Marylebone restaurant.
Will definitely be going again. Really love the food, and the service is always good.
Good food and great service - very enjoyable meal with partner.
Visited with friends. The food was amazing. The service was just right. Will definitely be back.
Surprisingly tasty fresh fish - especially delicious halibut - and generous portions. Quick service without asking for it (we were eating pre-theatre). We'll be back - for lobster and a window seat!
Very disappointing. Food was unexciting and service disjointed and disinterested
Great food and service. There was a nice selection on the menu. Prices a bit high but normal for the location.
Thank you for the positive review. Nhan
Excellent, rapid service , as previously. We both went for fish platters, with a side of chips to share. Very tasty..but we probably should have ordered a vegetable too, as not as big as we imagined. Had room for a pud tho !! I had brownie with delicious pistachio ice cream and hubby had the lemon tart.
Tasty food !
Visited for a pre theatre meal and was not disappointed staff and service was excellent but above all the food could not have been more delicious, fresh produce wins out every time!!
Great food, terrible toilets.
We went for a weekday lunch. We were given the a la carte, but had to ask for the set lunch £18 menu, considerably cheaper for the same food. I'd be interested to know if this is common practice. Food was lovely, scallops followed by tuna, perfectly cooked and tasty. Service was friendly and efficient and our waitress was attentive.
The only real downside are the toilets which are very poor, bad smell, sticky floor, old sinks - generally unpleasant.
So to sum up great food, terrible toilets.
Thoroughly enjoyed this our second meal, at Fish Works Covent garden. This time we chose a la. carte. We both had the Argentinian prawns starter. My husband enjoyed the roasted sea bass and I loved my posh fish n chips ( halibut !) Excellent food and service. Will be going again. ( Tomorrow!) And might opt for the pre theatre 2 course all which us excellent value at £18.
Highly recommended if you.love fish.
Thank you for the lovely words. I hope the third visit went as smoothly as the other two. Cordially, Nhan
Good food, good value (particularly the 50% off wine list on Monday), and friendly service. We have already booked for another occasion
Thank you for the review, I'm glad you enjoyed the Monday selection of our wines. Hope to see you soon. Nhan
Lovely waiters and good service, let down by the food. Our scallops were delicious and well cooked. The mackerel was also good. The sea bass, however, was seriously overcooked; the broccoli and beans seemed to have been reheated, poorly and the bread hacked rather than cut. The chips and spinach were ok. Coffee was cold, even after extra-hot milk requested. The room too was cold. Over all a disappointing experience.
Nice restaurant , good service and friendly staff.
The food was good, excellent value for money.
Thanks for the kind words. Nhan
Staff are warm, helpful and friendly. Very noisy on a saturday night, and tables very close together.
Tableof 6 girls next to us . Incredible loud and noisy
Excellent service. Good menu. Food was delicious, but main portions too small. We were still hungry after starter, main and sides.
Food was not very good at all. I ordered the fish soup for starters that should of had a Gruyère crouton , instead it was a large piece of soggy cheddar cheese on toast! The fish platter for two was below average the best part was the bottle of rose wine, can’t really go wrong. Won’t be visiting again……
Lovely pre-theatre dinner.
Good atmosphere and great fish
Good honest fish at a sensible price. My whitebait and bouillabaisse were both excellent. The latter particularly good not pre prepared but clearly the plentiful langoustines and fish cooked correctly and not over cooked. Staff helpful - would just rethink the musak played…if any required at all! Well done Fishworks!
Quiet but it was midweek January and late lunch. Everything was super
We were served quickly and efficiently, and the were delighted with the food from the excellent value set lunch menu. Space and ambience very good. Only one downside - we had to ask to see the set menu, it wasn't handed to us with the a la carte.
Food was excellent, but the service very slow. Need much improvement
Food was excellent but overall experience let down by small niggles. Side order was forgotten, white wine served barely below room temperature and plates not warmed so fish stew cooled quickly when transferred from a hot pan. Toilets were no better than a typical London pub (i.e. needed a good deep clean).
A thoroughly enjoyable meal, wouldn't hesitate to return
We had seafood platter and kids had mussels. Food were delivered very quick and overall is good choice for having causal seafood meal.
If you like fish you'll enjoy Fishworks. Good food cooked by people who know what they are doing and happy smiling staff.
The ambience good, food excellent, service very good, staff friendly and helpful
A great meal out - good food, efficient service - I will definitely be going again
The food was outstanding. All three courses were exceptional, well presented and tasted very fresh. The only small criticisms were on service in terms of long wait times considering how quiet it was. There was also a lack of awareness over keeping table water filled up, a very small niggle! On the whole it was amazing and we would definitely return
Nice place good menu and pleasant service . A few me u items weren't available but I was pre warned and we did go just after new year which may have been a factor.
Went on a day with a limited menu but service was really good.
Great experience. Love the food and the atmosphere!
Very good value for the money staff were very efficient and helpful .
Tables were clean and disinfected
Perfect position in Covent garden,
All the fresh seafood you could want .
