    I’ve had wonderful dinners here in the past but this last experience was pretty awful. I brought family members here based on past experience and was really disappointed. First, we came in at 4:30 and wanted to take advantage of happy hour drinks/eats and once there we were told that takes place only in the bar. It was a beautiful evening and we had opted for outdoor dining in our reservation — only to discover the small stationery umbrellas don’t tip to shade the sun. That became an issue even before out food arrived, we were all overheated —outdoor dining should always have a shade option. Fried calamari that was barely fried, cool lobster bisque, chewy clams in the chowder and fries that weren’t warm accompanied our dinners. I have to say I’m so disappointed that I brought my family here for such a subpar meal. The one upside to the evening was our server Cristina V, she was wonderfully attentive. Not sure we’ll be back.

    Great location and view. Food is very good but not great. Prices are average. Outdoor service can be a challenge. Worth a try!

    For a local waterfront seafood restaurant, Fisherman has it all. The facility is nicely decorated and well-maintained, with plenty of water views through the large picture windows. The lobster roll and Caesar salad with salmon were not fancy, but you really wouldn’t want them to be. Just right. The wait staff was busy so service was not the fastest, but probably a lot faster than you should expect on a busy summer afternoon. The friendliness of the staff and manager were exceptional and helped make this the kind of restaurant you want to return to again. All in all, highly recommended.

    I ALWAYS have a great experience here! The staff are warm, knowledgable and very accomodating...I have some food sensitivities and it is never a problem. The food is fantastic and not as pricey as other seafood restaurants. They have outdoor seating on the water, which is lovely!! It's across from Esker Point, a small beach, so you can take a stroll if you want before or after dinner. It's close to Mystic, but not over-run with people. I am a local and always take any visitors here.

    Beautiful setting for a delicious seafood-forward menu. Everything we ordered was excellent -- fresh clams in the clam chowder, big pieces of lobster in the lobster roll and lobster bisque, perfectly fried fish and chips -- and the room were were in had great water views from every angle. We had a visitor from out of town and she loved being surrounded by the Sound while in air-conditioned comfort. Our server Saeri was prompt, attentive and warm. It was a lovely experience and the whole party raved about it the whole drive back.

    The food was good. The steamed lobster was perfectly cooked and the mussels with fries were yummy. Nice view by the water.

    This was a last-minute dinner decision, but one we were glad we made. Food was excellent and our server, Gretchen D. was outstanding!

    Service was unbelievable slow - not enough servers working on a busy holiday weekend. Food was okay, served lukewarm and took forever to arrive. There were a group of hostesses that could have helped their peers. Teamwork training needed. Very expensive for the overall experience.
