We drove from Toledo Ohio to celebrate my husband’s birthday and it was well worth the drive! The food was EXCELLENT! Our server was very attentive and personable! We were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming young lady and we will definitely return! We’re seeing Gladys Knight on the 16th and will reserve a table for lunch.

Accepts reservations through OpenTable but do not honor reservations. Made reservations online (Open Table) two weeks in advance but when we arrived we were promptly told to move to the side as there was a 20-40 minute wait. Tried twice to give my name and tell them we had reservations only to be told, "we don't care" and to move to the side. Once seated, the wait staff was very friendly. Food was OK. Not great, and for the price I hoped for better.

I made a reservation in advance knowing it was a busy night in Detroit with the tigers playing and concert at ford field. We arrived on time to our reservation and were told “their kitchen crashed” and we would have to wait at least an hour. And no we weren’t allowed to wait inside or at the bar or get a drink. We walked to several other restaurants nearby who were at capacity due to how busy the city was that night and were not able to find one for dinner prior to our event. Very disappointing and we won’t be going back to Fishbones.

We had a reservation, when we got there they were slammed in the kitchen and they told us it would be an hour. We asked to just have a drink at the bar, when we got to the bar the bartender offered us to just eat here....the host told us we could not eat at the bar, mixed messages for sure. Kitchen was slow but was a better option than just turning us away!

Food was great. Service was very slow. Was there for 2 hrs. Missed the start of the Tigers game. But would give it a second chance as I know others haven’t had the same issue.

Great experience. I made a reservation but it didn’t seem necessary as others who didn’t were able to be seated immediately. Waitress was very attentive, offered suggestions and was able to speak to the menu well. Ordered gumbo ya ya, Caesar salad, catfish dinner and crab stuffed lobster which were all delicious although I would have preferred the crab stuffed shrimp to have been a little more well done. There was a long wait time between apps and food coming out with is the only negative I had about this dining experience.

We had a terrible experience from the minute we walked in the door. The greeter and person that took us to our table were very annoyed that they had to stop their conversation to seat us. It took the waitress a very long time to come over, and even longer to bring our waters. We ordered one drink from the bar that took 20+ minutes to get. I was told when I ordered the salmon I would get a potato and broccoli. I got asparagus and rice. The whole meal was very bland. We had a lot of issues trying to pay. Our waitress kept disappearing for long periods of time. There was an 18% gratuity added to the bill for 2 of us, which I didn’t feel was appropriate for the service we got.

Fishbones used to be one of my favorite restaurants, I don't know what happened. All of our food was cold, my sons filet was overcooked, our food was just slopped on to the plates, soggy fries on top of the rice and soda tasted terrible, our waitress was super nice, but she could have come to the table to check on us more, they weren't that busy. Also, the waterfall wasn't on. There were a lot of disappointing factors for a $200 meal. We probably won't go back.
