   Nice atmosphere. Tables spread out; easy to Have a dinner conversation. Clams and crab cakes were excellent. Fish and cioppino were tasty.

   We ate at the Top of the Market last night, which was a wonderful experience, and decided to try the Fish Market tonight, hoping that while the experience would not compare, the quality of the seafood would be as good. We were not disappointed. Our party had the clam chowder, a huge Caesar salad, the fish and chips with cod and the salmon dinner with the green beans and potatoes. We finished with the key lime pie. It was all good and we will definitely go back when we're interested in a great, casual seafood dinner.

   I did a reservation for 5 adults when I got there they tried to put us on a table for 4 and add a chair at the end. 5 adults would not fit comfortably there. We asked to move 2 tables together and the hostess said she couldn’t do it. If I wanted to sit inside I could sit immediately. I made my reservations for outside cuz my friends were visiting from Iowa. The she said I would have to wait 20 mins for another outside table, mind you there were plenty empty tables. Another gentleman/waiter came right up to us and told us he could move the tables together right away and seat us. Thank you sir!

   My first experience at this restaurant was in the late 1990’s when in San Diego for telecom trade shows at the convention center. It was a must stop on each trip…great location, great atmosphere and excellent, fresh seafood. In San Diego this week for a mini vacation with my wife and we made a point to visit the Fish Market…and it did not disappoint. Love this place!!

   The Fish Market never disappoints!! We pick up our out of town guests at the airport and head for the market. We love to show off America’s finest city and enjoy a cocktail, cheesy garlic bread and lots of yummy fish options!
