Beautiful, ocean front, breezy , sunset , stars in the clear sky. Awesome service from complimentary valet to seating (reservations) food was quick and delicious in order served together , drinks always full, used dishes always taken off table, service was impeccable. Nice quality time romantic hot date for the wife and I on our anniversary.. couldn’t ask for anything more… $412 party of 2 . Seafood tower , 2 appetizers, 2 entrees , cake , glass of wine and a coke
Lovely sunset dinner. Especially loved the calamari, butter fish, crab corn chowder. Exceptional service was the cherry on top.
We made a reservation for our anniversary. The service and good were phenomenal! I had filet and shrimp, my husband had a catch of the day. We also tried the crab and corn bisque which were delicious. We would definitely come back on our next visit in Hawaii.
Food was ho-hum. Atmosphere is always nice, but the biggest factor in this review is how they handled the vaccine mandate that requires diners to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 48 hours. First and foremost, we support the mandate, which is the reason we dined out - to support the restaurants. What took us aback was when they insisted on hard copy original photo IDs for my teenagers 13 and 15. They are too younger drive. My wife and I of course have our driver’s licenses; but which teenager would carry their school ID with them when going to a family dinner on a Saturday night?
If they were going to read the mandate this strictly, why was there no communication that teenagers must have their actual school ID on them. We had copies of their school ID per the mandate, but they actually want you to bring the actual ID. Then, they acted like we were stupid for not knowing this. I wish they would have communicated this better.
After some drama, they gave us the privilege of dining there🙄, but the vibe was ruined. And they didn’t even apologize. I must say, I can cook up a better whole fish than what we ordered for $150, so I guess it’s back to home cooking for us.
We had a fantastic experience at Mina’s last night for our anniversary. Our server, Andrew, went above and beyond to make sure they accommodated our allergies and had amazing food/drinks. The flavor combos were wonderful. Highly highly recommend!
Charming restaurant. Lots of outdoor seating overlooking the beach. Service was great - attentive but not hovering. We shared a roasted Brussels sprouts appetizer which was very tasty. The fish somalier (yes, there is such a thing) recommended a local fish (Kona Kampuchea I think) which we shared and it was fantastic. Desserts were also very nice. Overall very special experience.
Dinner here is really fantastic. When the sun goes down and the torches are lit and the live music starts, it’s really the best place in the beach to eat dinner.
Great food and perfect place to celebrate an anniversary.
Most amazing dinner I’ve had in a long while! Flavors of every item were fabulous! You could not have a better view! Perfect service
Our hostess and server were friendly and jubilant.
Perfect experience; returning as soon as possible!
Anniversary dinner at Sunset and the experience was wonderful in every way!
Celebrated our 46th anniversary. Was awesome!
We dined during happy hour. The selection was small but amazing. The waiters and service was 1000% amazing. The music was phenomenal and relevant. The ambiance to die for and beach front was clean/ refreshing.
My only issue = A lot of flies on an Hawaii resort says that there is a trash can nearby. Maybe moving all trash receptacles to the another location and putting traps around the trash can to prevent the flies will make the experience better. Management should look into this because it could take away from the experience. Also I hate the 90 minute time limit, that screams cheap.
Wonderful ambience, delicious food, excellent service and live Hawaiian music. We had a very good experience.
I would rate my overall experience as a B+. Great ambiance and setting. Service was average and the food, although well presented, I felt the entries should have come with veggies/starches/soup and or salad. There really was no reason to nickle and dime you with the add ons.
Went for dinner at 5:30pm. We had reservations for a party of 7, and after a little work validating ID’s and Covid vaccinations we were shown quickly to our table. The location is beautiful and at sunset the view is spectacular. The menu itself was a little confusing but our server was knowledgeable and was able to answer any questions and make great recommendations. The fish Sommelier came over to address our party and was able to describe the fish offerings of the evening. His descriptions were spot on and his knowledge was fascinating. We ordered just a few appetizers and were impressed. The watermelon salad, Corn Crab Soup, Duck Fries, were delicious. Our entrees were served and were equally delicious. The service was exceptional exactly what you’d expect at a four seasons location. The only real criticism we had to offer was we found the wine list to be terribly over priced. We found wine prices to be 30% more expensive here than at similar establishments. Anyway, we’ll definitely return and hope to have another amazing experience. Perhaps we’ll stick to beer.
I loved the atmosphere and the service was amazing.
The place is very pretty, I had a beautiful table Overlooking the water. However the mahi-mahi came out cold we sent it back and the second one was raw. The waiter was very attentive but we did not order anything else and they removed it from the bill. We would definitely try it again though.
Excellent food especially the miso honey glazed butterfish! Keep up the great work.
Service was excellent as always!
Mina's was our first disappointing meal while we were here. The food was good, but not overwhelming. The biggest problem was the value. Completely overpriced compared to portions.
We had a great experience, great atmosphere, great food and great staff! Would recommend to anyone looking for high class service and amazing food! They even brought us an anniversary treat!
Aloha! Happy Anniversary Again! We are so glad we were able to assist you in celebrating such a great occasion. We hope to see you again in the future, maybe for your next anniversary! Mahalo, Mina's Fish House Team
Jennifer was our server and she was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The miso honey butterfish was some of the best fish ever. FYI you make get fried rice with it vs the menu version including broccolini. I think the drink was the pipeline, really delicious.
Aloha! Thank you so much for your kind words & feedback. We love to know that you were well taken care of & had amazing food. We hope to see you again soon! Mahalo, Mina's Fish House Team
What you would expect from the Four Seasons…quality of the highest expectations
I was so excited to try this Mina restaurant. The setting is beautiful. The food was disappointing. The crab with the potatoes was very salty. Overall the food was uneventful. Our server was sweet but overall the staff service was lacking. The oysters were delivered without identifying them and our server didn’t know. One and done.
Aloha, We are so sorry to that we did not deliver our best service for you during your visit. We certainly want all of our guests to feel well taken care of & important. We hope that you will consider joining us again in the future, so we can show you how well we can deliver service. Mahalo, Mina's Fish House Team
Service was outstanding and the food well prepared. However, very pricey even by Hawaiian standards.
Food was excellent. Service exceptional. Beautiful sunset view.
Everything was excellent. Our server was excellent.
Me and my husband love coming to Minas for date night. We try to come every other month. The steak is phenomenal. I’ve never been disappointed with any dish here.
Aloha! Thank you so much for joining us for your date nights! We love to know that our food & service can make a night out a little bit more special! Mahalo, Mina's Fish House Team
Our drinks was served to wrong table, next to us. Server apologized to them but not to us. Dropped our drinks without even saying a word. Sides for my food was not fresh, pickles was mushy not crunchy. Butterfish was too soft, over-marinated. Breading for squid mostly off, crumby. Appetizer fried chicken tasted and looked burnt, did not eat most of the order.
Everything was wonderful.
87th birthday! Delicious dessert was offered! Mahalo!
Beautiful views, great service, and delicious food!
Great food along with the level of service you expect from a restaurant in the Four Seasons.
The food was absolutely outstanding, the grounds were impeccably clean, and the service was absolutely unbelievably amazing. 10 stars will definitely be back!!!!
