   The fish sommelier was excellent and explained things very well to us to help us decide on what to order. The server was very good but forgot to take our drink order in the beginning. she was very nice to ask about putting the kids order in early though. A bit pricey. The music could have been turned down a notch, but overall this place was excellent and if we had another night in Oahu we would go back.

   Beautiful place. Servers worked together seamlessly. Beautiful presentation and Tate of Opah and Butterfish entrees were both amazing. And berries and crème for desert just right. Kind of a skimpy and expensive wine list but I can deal with that as everything else hit the mark!

   Mina’s Fish House is our néw favorite restaurant. We loved everything about this restaurant. We were greeted with friendly faces and we were immediately seated. Our server was very knowledgeable about the dinner and liquor menu. She made several great recommendations! Every dish that we ordered was very delicious. Our table was always kept clean, water always filled and our server made sure we had our drinks in a timely manner. Dinner at Mina’s Fish House was an extraordinary experience and we cant wait to visit again.

   we’ve been here before anytime we visit Aulani. Food was great but this time around Service was horrible. Server only came by twice- once to take my order and once because I waved him down to top off my drink. The drink never arrived. Horrible experience for our party.

   My husband and I were celebrating our 32nd anniversary. Damon was outstanding to make our celebration exceptional. He did an amazing job assisting me as well with my gluten allergy. Very special evening!

    Fabulous food and service - everything was cooked to perfection and so well flavored !!! It was unexpectedly amazing. The chef knows what he’s doing - varied flavors with lots of Asian influences (pork with peanut sauce, whole fish fried with dry coriander rub and chickpea side), lots of spice and acid - so good.

    This restaurant came highly recommended by some friends of ours and it absolutely delivered! The food was excellent, and the service was excellent as well. We requested a table close to the water and it was a beautiful place to have a wonderful dinner. Later in the evening after the sunset they lit the Tiki torches and had live music which really set the ambiance. I would absolutely eat here again.

    As always a great culinary experience enhanced by attentive and efficient servers. We were seated behind a large table with active children and baby. A little annoying but that table was managed expertly by wait staff which made it bearable. Ryan the fish sommelier told us about an off menu Opakapaka available that evening. We had it grilled served over Kimchee. Fabulous dish! If you like fish, pay attention to Ryan - he has never steered us wrong.

    Fantastic Service, specifically Kat! Thank you for your service. Location, location, & location! Great beachside dining. Only one disappointment was we were hoping for more local products, like Kona beef, Kona lobsters, fish - opa, ono, etc.

    was really looking forward to it, but I was disappointed. The space was so dark that I couldn't see the food properly and the fish steak was so stiff that it didn't taste good. It was the most wasteful of all the money I spent in Hawaii.

    My daughter and I shared the violet snapper (whole fish), which was excellent! The service was fantastic! Additionally, my daughter had a salad and I had the lobster bisque. We finished with desserts--both beautiful looking. It is useful to know the price category to expect going in, but if that is okay with you, I think you will have a wonderful experience dining at Mina's Fish House.

    You really come here for the beautiful views and hotel grounds! There is a 4 hour valet that comes free with a dinner receipt. The fries were hands down the best part of the meal! We got the lavender snapper for two- it didn’t have a lot of flavor, but it was cooked well. We also got oysters, which were also not that flavorful and contained more shell pieces than expected. The service was pretty good, but not as great as I expected from such an expensive restaurant. Overall, it was a fairly good experience, but I wish that I had just got the fries at happy hour for the views.

    A favourite place in Hawaii: one we always go to on our last night in Oahu. Highly recommended. As per the stars I've awarded, it's exceptional, though not exactly cheap, but you get what you pay for

    Thé staff were all excellent, from the hostess who warmly greeted and very promptly seated us (we arrived at the exact time of our reservation), to our server who was very professional but still warm and down to earth and made excellent suggestions and even ran to another bar in property for a preferred alcohol we requested, as well as the runners. I left my card by accident after paying and one of them chased us down to bring it. The ambiance is the best, almost formal but so relaxed with the setting and music and overall « beach » vibe. The food is pricey, which can be prohibitive to repeating visits more frequently, but the quality and presentation was really top drawer. We had the petite tower of chilled shellfish as a shared appetizer and everything was super fresh. The yellowfin tuna with foie gras and pineapple was imaginative and satisfying, and the filet was surprisingly flavorful and tender (especially for a « fish » house). I hope we can come again the next time we’re on vacation.

    The setting is beautiful. The food was mixed, I had the butterfish and it was very good. My husband had the pork chop and it was not good. The sauce is delicious but the pork chop was very tough. I do not recommend having the pork chop!

    Great service, great food and beautiful view. Music/entertainment was very nice. A perfect evening. We shared the 1/2 Kona Kampachi fish, island salad, duck fat fries and prime beef lettuce cups. Everything was delicious. Could not have asked for anything more while celebrating a friend’s birthday. Highly recommend.

    My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Mina’s Fish House, we were greeted and taken care of by an awesome server, Andrew. We Had a beautiful view of the lagoon as the sun was setting, great music by a live musician who sang songs of all genres. Seafood was fresh and plentiful. I got the butter fish, it had a nice presentation where it was steamed on white rice in banana leaves and the server took it out of the leaves, placed it on a bed of fresh tomatoes, some Asian greens, and poured a garlic, butter relish sauce on top. It was delicious. Loved it. I would highly recommend having a nice meal here.

    They've changed their menu since the last time we were there a few months ago. One of our favorite items on the old menu was the grilled octopus, which they've replaced with a newer, Lomi Lomi Octopus. The new menu item is great, just different than the grilled one we loved before. Their char broiled fish was excellent, and most importantly, they were extremely helpful with my wife's many allergies. They promptly and quickly checked in and did their best to accommodate her food. Dashe was our server and was, along with all their staff, extremely helpful. They should post the old grilled octopus recipe if they're not using it anymore!

    We had a bit of a rough start, but once we moved up to the bar, we received excellent attention and service. I wish we had brought our friends for their anniversary celebration; we will keep it in mind for next time. We had the lobster pot pie and it was TO.DIE.FOR!!!

    Had late lun lunch shishito peppers and reef squid nicely fried in Panko. All was good except they were served with squeezed Hellman's mayo or possibly Heinz nstead of a homemade sauce béarnaise or homemade capre and shallots mayo as is used for the base of a vitello tonato. As the origin is Italian mediterranean. Even an elaborated Japanese fish sauce base would have been better than bland and plain factory made mayo shipped in plastic containers. We don't go out to find what could be found at any 7 Eleven shelf. Short of this detail, it would have been a perfect score. I will return. It's a minor detail but when you elect to eat at Michaell Mina's joint, may it be at the Fontainebleau in Miami Beach, FL or Ko Olina, HI and everywhere else in between from DC to Frisco. Expectations are set on high max.

    Unfortunately the salmon was cold and not cooked. We sent back and it came back the same. My lobster was three bites of dry over seasoned lobster. My son butterfish was excellent. My daughter is vegetarian and her food was good. The management deducted salmon off bill and gave us two delicious desserts. Service was excellent ambiance too. Just disappointed in the food we were so excited to eat here. We have dined in many 4 and 5 star restaurants all our lives. So we are definitely experienced in good tasting food.

    We grazed on the Happy Hour menu and loved it! Enjoyed the cold poached shrimp, green salad and the crunchy beef lettuce cups. We switched it up to the warm side of the menu, getting the fish and chips, but upgrading the chips to the duck-fat fried version. We’ll worth the upgrade! The fish was incredibly crispy and the chips out of this world!

    Beautiful outside oceanfront location, plenty waitstaff, very friendly service, excellent lobster bisque and whole opakapaka. Wife’s birthday dinner and she was very pleased. Easy valet parking as well.

    Quite frankly the best, if not second best to Roy’s. These two restaurants are the creme de la creme in the area. No other restaurant can beat the service and food.

    Service and ambiance are exquisite, and although both can elevate a dining experience, Minas unfortunately offers little to elevate- from steaks fired on the grills of Hades to seafood that doesn’t let you forget it’s saltwater origins. Disappointment is an understatement given the tantalizing aroma that surrounds the establishment- ambrosia to be sure- instead an insipid and uninspired experience was had. Would recommend for the view and the staff- not for the food itself.
