Fish & Farm
Tasty food and good service. Got us out in time to see our show. :)
Everyone’s meals were good.
The waiter did his job for the most part, but seemed disinterested. We got what we ordered, but when he left the table we were not convinced that we would. He had our drink orders mixed up and said he was getting refills, but never came back. We were seated in a way that we couldn’t see him unless he was at our table and he never checked in to see if we had everything we needed. The restaurant was not at all busy so he couldn’t have been too overwhelmed.
Not as high end as I expected. More of a pub than a nice restaurant.
The “clubby” charm of the former restaurant at this location has been preserved, but with a better selection of lunch dishes. It’s not yet crowded, but probably will be with its great location and food.
We had a big group. We had a reservation, although everyone at the front seemed confused and unaware about that when we arrived and we waited about 15/20 minutes to be seated. It wasn’t a big deal since we had some of party delayed. The server seemed super rushed and overwhelmed, with not much patience. We had some questions about the wine, and he seemed irritated and said he didn’t really have time for helping with it. The food and atmosphere was good. I had the salmon and we all shared the brussel sprouts which we’re delicious, along with the mussels, and crab cakes. I wouldn’t return with a group, but might try again with a friend or two.
The food was very mediocre. We had hardly finished our salad when our main courses came out. I ordered ahi tuna and it was cold I will not go back.
Fish and Farm served me the best salmon I have had in 11 years in San Francisco. Everything was delicious!
It's an average meal and completely fine when not looking to go "outside the box". It does the job. Nothing to rave about and nothing to complain about.
We chose fish and farm because they’re open late, allowing reservations until 11 PM. So after a show we arrived for our 9:45 PM reservation and was told the kitchen is closed. So we have no idea how the food is, I can say the service is very lacking!! We won’t be back
Too noisy and too smoky. Smelled like smoke and therapy hour was in session. Talking about taking prozac and some ish. To much
Terrible service angry staff subpar food
The service was over the top, the manager Stephan went out of his was to ensure us of a wonderful meal and service. We ate dinner 3 nights in a row there and great breakfast mornings also since we were staying across the street at Le Meridian it was convenient and we’re very pleased!
Memorable, thank you!
Great food! Our kids loved the brussel sprouts, pizza, and mac & cheese.
Went there for an early dinner before the theater. Pleasantly surprised that they had $1.00 oysters for happy hour until 8pm. The burgers, fried chicken and risotto were very tasty, too. Good value. Will definitely eat there again.
We went there for Thanksgiving dinner. The Turkey was fabulous and the Cioppino was delicious. Great service, reasonable prices. We have eaten there several times
Expected more of a WOW. Tasty but not unique/special. Not busy so guess that says something.
Cerraron la cocina a las 10pm cuando la reservación era 10:30pm
Whether the occasion is a date with friends or business, I keep on coming back here because of the service, ambiance, and food!
Disappointed with the menu as what I saw on line was “an old menu from a third party. If they are to be in business, they need to clean up their on line presence. The menu was scaled back and pretty lackluster. The food was not bad but definitely not up to SF FiDi standards. pork chop with cabbage and pancetta was was actually boiled cabbage with flabby bacon. The mustard sauce had no detectable mustard won’t be back
The food was “authentic” to the point that it was not what we expected. Ex: Caesar salad had anchovies because that is authentic. This is fine, but all the dishes we had were not necessarily the best tasting. 3 out of 5 for food. We think taste and quality should be the main focus when it comes to food. However, it wasn’t awful, just OK. The atmosphere is wonderful, lively etc. the staff were great. If I come again it will just be for drinks.
It’s been years since we have been and the food was not as good as we remembered. All the dishes were overly salty.
good standard drinks, good food. Nice service. Convenient to financial district and parking nearby. Healthy and good tasting!
My work department celebrated the birthday lunch of our three colleagues at this restaurant. The food is good, ambiance is nice & the service is wonderful. The server is so nice providing 3 bday desserts! We shall return as this is a good place to celebrate occasions whether in small or big groups.
Enjoyed the meal however the restaurant was very quiet
Epxoerience may have been better if the A/C was working. They had from door open to help but it was very uncomfortable. Waiter said that it had been broken for a couple of weeks.
it's a bar, not a restaurant, as it wants to be.
I ordered a pork chop because someone recommended.....
NOT....Pork Chop was dry as jerky.
My wife and I each order a virgin Bloody Mary....man... I think pepper was On Sale that day...SPICY as hell. worst Bloody Mary I ever had.
Fortunately, Fried Chicken and Fries were good. Otherwise, nothing special.
I should have known when there was only 1 other party during our visit.
I was expecting more. There were shells in the oysters and the risotto had the texture of rice plus the shrimp was way overcooked. Great Manhattan and service but won’t be going back.
It covers all good features of this restaurant! From food, service, ambiance, price. I keep on coming back to this restaurant and besides it’s close to my work!
Surprising good fare in downtown San Francisco, reasonably priced food, pleasant atmosphere and right in the heart of the city. I'll be eating here more often!
Was ok. The entire place smelled too fishy, though.
The appetizers were great! Crab cakes and mussels are a must. Old fashion was good. The Manhattan needed a little something.
Unplanned family dinner where we found Fish really good meal.
Pleasant dinner and drinks before a comedy show. The grilled calamari was a tasty surprise as were the crab cakes. Excellent friendly attentive service!
Wonderful place to side up to the bar for some Ciopinno & a whiskey for dessert!
The food options were limited, particularly for vegetarians.
We experienced good food, comfortable environment, good service.
Order the chicken it was supposed to come with cornbread, never received the car. Order sweet tea they said we'll bring sugar for your tea, got the tea no sugar. 10 mins later had to asked for it again.
While the food was good, the service/wait time was awful. Drinks took forever, the food took forever, desserts and coffee took forever. And it was not even crowded for a Saturday night, so it couldn't be because the kitchen or servers were overwhelmed. Strangely, we had 5 different servers throughout our dinner. Location was great if you are catching a show at the Punchline, but give yourselves plenty of time!
Lovely atmosphere, booth and low noise level. Food was amazing and very reasonably priced for the Bay Area.
