Firewood features American heirloom cuisine with seasonal menu rotations to incorporate the freshest regional produce. Many dishes will be prepared over open flame using chef-selected wood like cedar, cherry and maple to enhance flavor. Firewood’s custom-made open flame grill boasts five separate cooking stations that guests will be able to see, thanks to an open kitchen design.
Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience at Firewood this evening. The food was satisfactory, but it was not the food. It was the disappointing service. When we spoke with the manager this evening to share our frustration about the service (we waited over an hour for our entree) and to ask how much longer for our food to arrive, his response was extremely defensive and he continued through the rest of dinner to behave rudely and really horribly. It was definitely not a service oriented experience and a disappointment since it was recommended by our hotel.
We ate at Firewood last weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The menu was very gluten-free friendly, which is really important to both of us. The food was amazing, I cannot rate the New York steak high enough. So GOOD!
My husband and I went to Firewood a few times when it first opened two years ago and really loved it. Also we went a few times last winter. We enjoy good food and don't mind paying for it when its provided.
Our latest outing to Firewood over this weekend when friends were visiting from out of town was really disappointing due to the INCREDIBLY SMALL portions sizes (two slices of NY Strip steak (I estimate 2-3 oz) and 4 oz of Salmon at $49/plate each.) The service was also very inattentive.
The other thing that has seemed to change is that the menu is so convoluted.
Firewood has so much detail of the obscure, minimal unknown accent ingredients that it is hard to determine what might actually show up in front of you. We suspect the chef and management is trying to present an "elevated" menu to justify their unjustifiable prices. Skip it.
Very enjoyable meal with great service. Generous servings
Family meal while on vacation
Had a relaxing and enjoyable evening with excellent serve and cuisine. The duck was amazing, as was the pork belly and elk, not to mention the cocktails. Will definitely be back and recommend to others.
Always 5+ experience!
Very nice vibe and outstanding service. The food fell a bit below our built up expectations.
Unique menu prepared on open firewood stove in view of the dining area gives this restaurant a special ambience. Seasonal menu with good healthy choice accompanied by a good wine list. Service is outstanding and helpful with menu choices.
Server Greg was outstanding. Excellent advice on food and wine pairings. Restaurant looks great and view to kitchen fire/grill is delightful. New York was
Left under the lights too long and overdone. Pork belly app was solid.
Firewood was a true treat for my family and I. The service was supreme. The oxtail, tuna tartare apps were amazing. The main courses were over the top. For a special event, there is not place more special in PC than Firewood
Great food, little expensive both it’s worthy ...
The food is the best in Par City!
La comida aceptable pero nada extraordinario
We loved our dining experience at Firewood. The food tasted delicious and was beautifully presented.
The food and cocktails here are always superb! The service is also very good. Kudos to the owner/chef!
Had a fabulous meal with outstanding service from Jayde. Would recommend this restaurant anytime.
Our waitress was knowledgeable and helpful, the biscuits were yummy, the muscles were good, but not great. The steak salmon and other food was suitable for foodies. Dessert was great
The waitress told us that the appetizers were served family style. I’m not sure if she has a misconception regarding the meaning of family style or if this is what the wait staff is instructed to tell the customers. Either way, it is a complete fallacy. A half ounce of meat certainly is not considered family style. Why are you telling your customers that it is?! Everyone in the party needs to order their own appetizers, as the portions are extremely small. The food was good, for the most part. The salad that my husband ordered was the best tasting out of everything, but once again extremely small. I would be surprised if it totaled a half cup of greens. Desserts were mere slivers. Pretty disappointed, as we had to find a 24 hour grocery store after we left because everyone was still hungry!
We love this restaurant, since it's opening we have been coming every December. The ambiance is very inviting, great food and impeccable service.
Food was outstanding. Service was excellent.
Very nice place. Very interesting menu. We were a party of six so we had several things on the menu and they were all amazing. The only problem was that it took forever to get our entree after our first dish. And by then the restaurant was no longer crowded! I’d give it a five star rating if it weren’t for the slow service. At the end we left without desert. We didn’t want to wait any longer.
Lovely wait staff and team. Food was good, not great but it is a resort area
Fabulous food, nice wine selection and great atmosphere. Good energy in the main dining room where we had our dinner.
2nd time at this resturant over Chrsitmas time. The best service and great food selection. Will be back next year.
Our server J'Amy was a delight and added to our meal with her insights on growing up in the area, moving away and moving back.
Overall a delicious dinner. However, when stuffed squash as an entree is priced above $30...!
Excellent service and food. A must stop when in Deere Valley!
I had the best vegetarian meal I have had in years! The acorn squash with pumpkin was fabulous!!! And my carnivore husband was quite satisfied as well with his steak. The wine selection was good, and the service outstanding. Highly recommend!!!
If I could give this restaurant six stars I would. The food presentation was exceptional. The servers were attentive and the atmosphere was lovely. This is a don’t miss restaurant.
Excellent food, excellent service. A bit pricey but that is normal for Park city. We would definitely go again!
We eat here often as we are locals, it is always a great experience . The chef is innovative and the food combinations are creative and wonderful. The service is excellent and we will continue return to Firewood for always ,a great meal !!!!!
Heather, our server, was beyond exceptional. She was able to describe the food and preparation in a colorful way with precision. The food, itself, was beautifully prepared and presented. Overall, as a Park City local, this by far has become my favorite restaurant. We took three out of town guests who are "foodies" and they could not stop talking about Heather and the food experience. If you can sit in front of the windows displaying the kitchen, it's an added experience. 5 stars!
Fantastic dining experience! Great smells, great taste, great drinks, great service
This was an outstanding find! Really exceptional food, service and unique cooking techniques! Learned so much and was allowed to meet the head Chef and a quick tour of the stunning kitchen. And, being a duck snob, I can honestly say that this was one of the very best this country can offer!
Wonderful experience. I'm sorry this is annoying having to provide a more detailed overview. I won't answer again.
Everything was perfect. Food delicious with a very innovative menù, the trout appetizer was something out of this world. Service was super they all made us feel very comfortable, super polite and attentive without feeling “ fake” . Definitely we’ll go back. A little on the expensive side but worth every penny.
One of our family's favorite spots in Park City. They continue to amaze with their exquisite food offerings and service. Always love to sit up front to watch the kitchen staff do their magic; but even the back room has great ambience. Never disappoints.
