As always, the service from hostess to server was great. We were seated immediately at our reserved time.
Food quality is good and fairly priced. In spite of a large crowd, our service was timely.
I'll keep coming back.
Wait staff seemed interested only in getting us out of the restaurant.
We will never go back. Below average food and way over-prices. I’m happy to pay for value and this place is not worth it. Restaurant is tired and has not been remodeled in years. No energy or vibe.
Valentines Day Dinner
My favorite restaurant. The lasagna and Halibut special are always amazing!
Wonderful evening. Waived 2nd corkage fee - yay!
The lasagna was perfect. Veal Marsala could have been more tender, but was good.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Firenze and enjoyed the specials. The onion soup was very good and the cheese on the side enhanced the onion flavor. I enjoyed the grilled rainbow trout and my husband requested the lobster ravioli which wasn't on the menu but was on the online menu when we looked at it prior to our dinner. The kitchen honored his request. Our complimentary cannoli dessert completed our special meal. Mark was a very knowledgable and friendly waiter and the wine he suggested paired well with my entree.
Exceptional! My husband and I have been coming to Firenze for 20 years and we have no desire to go to any other Italian restaurant.
The butternut squash ravioli was delicious but something was wrong with the bed of spinach. It was bitter and stems were tough. Lobster ravioli was very good, but it didn't taste like lobster. Packaged bread sticks were stale. I also like to have a pizza option...there is none. House salad was very boring. I like the ambiance and outside patio is very nice if weather is warm, but the kitchen could use some help.
The food is without fail always very good. The service is excellent as well. You won't be disappointed. Take your appetite, the portions are large.
Food always good. Menu has a lot to offer. Only complaint this visit is we arrived for a 7:00PM reservation at 6:55 and was told it would be a while for our table as nothing was available. A few other groups were already waiting as well. When pressed for how long it would be, we were told at least 20 minutes. We opted to eat at a high top in the bar area. Still comfortable, but not what we had reserved.
We always enjoy our dinners at Firenze. Food is reliably very good.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Excellent wine selection to boot.
We celebrated Dad's 96th birthday at Firenze. They seated us at a quiet table that was easy to access. We all loved the food. Firenze gave Dad tiramisu with a birthday candle. We look forward to returning for Dad's 97th!
We’ve lived in California for ten years and this is by far the best Italian restaurant in north county San Diego! The bread was warm, and we share caesar salad both plates were chilled. Our waitress Christine was exceptional in every way. My mom had the special Halibut with vegetables and homemade pasta. I had the Pollo Scarpariello it was delicious. We celebrated moms birthday with tiramisu it was scrumptious.
We frequently go to Firenze and enjoy it. The food was great as usual but was very slow in coming up. Our waitress was very attentive but there just seemed to be a delay in getting the main course
Nice comfortable dining. Entrees well priced. Good serving portions. Suggest making sure your Open Table reservation is acknowledged. Mine was marked as a "no show". Open Table rectified with restaurant.
The food here is always good. My only suggestion is to increase the lighting as I could hardly read the menu!!
It was New Year’s Eve. And they shoul have told us that the dinner was a close and one price dinner.
We went for New Years Eve dinner and sat in the enclosed patio area, not main dining room. Felt a little isolated out there. But it was quieter as there was a band. Definitely for an older crowd. We had 3 kids ages 8.14 and 19 with us and we did not see any other kids. Food is solid Italian but nothing unique. Very good value.
Always Excellent! Consistently delicious & lovely staff.
Not thrilled with the place. Highly overrated and underwhelming. Hostess was a little snooty upon greeting. Service was not as attentive as it should have been for the prices they charge for mediocre Italian food. Lasagna looked good but was so overstuffed with meats, it got gross tasting quickly & was Luke warm. Butternut squash ravioli was amateur. Not bad but not award winning. No better than Vons package ravioli.
Drinks were good. Dessert was way overpriced. Over $400 for 6 people for mediocre food and poor service.
Will not return.
Firenze continues to be a local gem in Rancho Santa Fe. Food is great and ambiance excellent.
Reliability good food. Have eaten here many times and it’s always good
My only complaint was the placement of the table- one of the hostesses brought guests to be seated right by our table all night (we were directly across from live music) which was disruptive as people bumped into our chairs. And the chairs were TERRIBLY uncomfortable-the booth seat was fine, but our daughter's back was tweaked after sitting there for 2 hours.
We couldn't ask for better service, food and feeling special. You will not be disappointed
Food was great. Server was slow. Don't ordered expresso drinks takes forever and then it was hardly warm.
Firenze Trattoria is our favorite--if possible, we would go at least once every week! The location at the edge of Encinitas on the way to Rancho Santa Fe is perfect. The servers are friendly and provide just the right amount of service. The facilities are inviting and we especially like dining on the patio next to the Fountain, which is possible most of the time due to fantastic weather. The food is excellent and the wine-list outstanding, including Italian and California wines for the conniseur and for the budget-minded. This is a sleeper and a neighborhood gem!
My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was perfect!
