    there was not enough protein in protein salad, mostly spinach. The server was delightful but was at the table way too often. Music was too loud for early afternoon business meeting.

    Server was new. Did not bring bread until we asked for it 3 times. Did not refill water until we asked 2 times. Ribeye was terrible- requested medium rare. Came brown so well done. Sent it back. Came raw and uncooked on inside - rarer than rare. One other steak (filet) was too rare, requested medium and was bloody. Sent it back but came too rare again. Did bring nice birthday dessert with candles.

    Met a friend I'd not seen in several years; he suggested this place. It was very welcoming, staff was exceptional, food was good. I ordered the filet, medium, and a lobster tail. Steak was fine, lobster tail was seemingly over cooked. I'd recommend you patronize the place for yourself.

    We came back for a second try here as we were passing through. We had had a mediocre visit about 2-3 years ago—for which management provided a $50 gift card to get us to come back. We again had Open Table reservations and this time we were seated at exactly our time—a huge improvement over the last time by an hour. The hostess was as sweet as could be and greeted every single person who came in. Our waiter appeared promptly—we had just sat down and as the place was packed, she was ready to take our drink order—we weren’t. She came back shortly and offered her suggestions for drinks and dinner. We ordered wine, and unlike the last time when the bartender forgot to make them, they arrived promptly. The food was decent—my medium BBQ burger was ordered medium, but came out very pink. The fruit on the side was fresh—great strawberries! Onion rings were awesome. My husband’s filet was okay but not the best we’ve had at that price point. I asked for as little salt as possible to be used in the seasoning of my food remembering back to our first visit. My husband forgot that they heavily salt the baked potatoes’ skins —and he could only eat part of it. Our waters were refilled before they were empty, and our waitress checked on us as she was running by to her other tables. When she came to clear our dinner plates, she scraped the remainders onto one plate—which was kind of disgusting, but she could carry everything in one trip. (Yeah?). The room was still very loud at 8:15-ish—lots of happy people! A nice improvement was that the food line guy was not loudly verbally abusive to the food runners and waiters this time. We were at a table close by again to the line, and we could mostly still have a conversation without yelling. Will we come back? ?? We might, but there are a lot of other places to try in Short Pump. We gave Firebirds another shot—there were definite improvements, but we think there are probably other better options for us.

    Our waitress was very rude. All of a sudden at the end of our meal, without asking if we wanted dessert, she threw the bill on the table from behind me without a word. She spilled water on the table (an accident)but, didn’t apologize or offer a replacement. We had reservations and were put at the back of the restaurant in front of the servers station. It was extremely noisy. I would have expected with having reservations , a better table would have been provided. We drove almost 2 hours to eat there for our son’s birthday. Very disappointed.

    First and foremost the Bacon Deviled Eggs are AMAZING!! The environment was nice, not crowded. I ordered the aged ribeye with parm mashed potatoes. The steak was PERFECT, but I did not care for the mashed potatoes. The drinks from the bar were ok… Sangria was hard to drink with lime pieces (with skin) chopped up too small to avoid, lemon drops were inconsistent (had 2 one was sweet one was more sour). Overall we enjoyed it!

    Everything was wonderful. Ana was super sweet and always checked up on us. My friend said the ribeye was one of the best she had in a while. The cajun butter was a nice touch. 10/10

    Our food was perfect and delicious. We had the deviled eggs for starters. They were great and the bacon on top added great flavor. Two of us ordered steak. Both were perfectly cooked. The ribeye was not fatty and the garlic butter sirloin was delectable. My son got the ribs. They were delicious and fell off the bone. Another got a burger which was plentiful and delicious. Firebirds never disappoints.

    Took my husband here for his birthday. It was the first time we had ever been here. We had reservations which was easy to go right in (recommend). The place wasn't crowded and very relaxing. The server was very nice and polite. The food was great. My husband had steak, shrimp, and fully loaded-potatoes. He said it had lots of flavors and that he enjoyed his meal. I had the BLT salad with a side of shrimp. I enjoyed the salad. Like my husband, my meal had lots of flavors, especially the added shrimp. LOVE my time there. The food was good, staff was very professional and very friendly.

    Better order your steak rare to start with. On my most recent visit, the kitchen seriously overcooked the filet. I'd ordered it "medium" and it was almost well-done. Replacement steak was also way overcooked.

    Our server seemed new but friendly. The appetizer was really good, the steak was terrible, no flavor, just bland and un fresh tasting. It turns out they served me a sirloin when I ordered a ribeye. I noticed this about half way through the meal. They tried to make it right by bringing me a ribeye, which I got to go and haven’t tried yet. They also offered us free desert. My wife wasn’t crazy about her steak either. The prices were high for the quality of food received. Service was overall good. Not sure I’ll go back. The service doesn’t outweigh the food value.
