   Let me start by saying we love Firebirds and have given great reviews in the past but today was a huge miss. Was the kitchen A team on vacation? To deal with family Mother’s Day conflicts we decided to celebrate two of our moms today. We had 4 different entrees and only one was good. We had a restless baby or I would have sent it all back. Hot honey chicken was it’s usual off the charts good. But then the shrimp and grits was a huge miss. Lumpy grits, shrimp not quite cooked enough and not sure what was happening with the sausage. Then the scrambled eggs with breakfast potatoes. If that was two eggs it was a midget chicken and the onions with the potatoes were burned to the point of being unrecognizable. In fact my daughter said, what are these black things? Then the potatoes were cooked in something that was either gross or overdone because they weren’t really edible. Then there was the grilled salmon salad. Salmon was very dry but tasty but all of the salad looked and tasted like it was left over from yesterday. We’ve had many salads here and this was a first but only the salmon was eaten. Finally, even the Arnold Palmer was bad. We tried to fix it but I finally just asked for water. We all left disappointed and $110 lighter in the wallet for a subpar meal. My wife and I will be back but the others said let’s choose someplace else next time.

   The vibe was great, server was slow, possibly short staffed but they were mot busy at all. It was a week day? Just the two of us for a birthday dinner. The steak was very fatty but the flavor and cook was fine just the cut of meat was off. I’d go again they have other good options as well.

   I recommend you try the sirloin combo dinner with the BLT salad and brownie sundae for dessert.

   We had a great experience with OpenTable and the Firebirds Restaurant. The reservation process was easy to use, and we were glad to be able to make a reservation. The food, service, and atmosphere were awesome at Firebirds!

   I had out of town guest join me at Firebird’s. Firebird’s is a favorite of mine and they too enjoyed their dinner. Our server, Samuel, was spot on. To be a newbie, he served us well! The noise is the only thing I do not care for at Firebird’s. Otherwise, we had a good dining experience!

   my husband was supposed to get his salad before the entree - never came until we asked after the entree got there. was told they would “ take care of that “ since we didn’t get it ask requested - they didn’t. it was on our bill - ordered a second drink but never received it - the steak tasted good and it came out fairly quickly. not a stellar performance however .

    Good food, had a few mistakes but the service was great, they fixed theirs things right away!! DRINKS ON POINT!!
