I took a group of 12 to dinner. We had 3 servers and most unfortunately, very poor service. Foos was subpar and not competitive to other area steak options. All can be fixed through improved leadership.

They have a BLT salad that I always get with chicken. It was excellent and very generous portions. Wait staff is very professional and friendly. Very enjoyable experience.

We visited for brunch. Nice menu. Portion size is appropriate for the price... portions are large. Shrimp and grits: outstanding. More shrimp than expected, and the creole sauce was superb. Excellent chimichurri tacos, the steak inside was grilled perfectly, which is just on the rare side of medium... not quite medium-rare, but it might turn some off seeing that level of pink/red. Staff pushed dessert; it looked great, but no room (remember the portion comment?) For ambience, it's a little smoky in there. It is a wood-fired grill, but it permeates everything.

Breakfast potatoes were too salty. Scramble eggs looked dirty, like the were cooked on the same surface after something else. Fried egg was a perfect over-medium, but seared around the edges. By comparison, both the scrambled and fried eggs are perfect at Wildwood in Southlake and the breakfast potatoes are tasty without being overly salted. Maple-glazed bacon never got crispy, as requested. Even after sending it back to crisp it more.

Just moved our daughter to downtown Grapevine and Firebirds will be one of our frequented restaurants. Diverse menu that encourages returns.

The food was good, but I wouldn't call it great. However, the prices were not as expensive as a high-end steakhouse either. Server was friendly and attentive. Dirty Martini with blue cheese olives was excellent.

They sat us down at our table then just totally forgot we were there. What a wonderful special occasion. Did not bring water or menu’s. When I finally got up and went to the hostess stand. They acted they could care less, not even an apology. Way too many good places to eat in the metroplex to put up with this.
