   Military appreciation day with my AF Veteran friend and our spouses. A generous act that was greatly appreciated. Food was wonderful and the service was outstanding. Thank you, Firebirds Wood Fire grill.

   This was my second time dining at Firebirds in the past week. Both times we had great food and exceptional service. The servers know the menu and are able to recommend dishes incredibly well. Great spot!

   Food was great as usual. Huge Mothers Day crowd slowed their normal excellent service. We’ll be back.

   I give credit where credit is due and I wish I could say this place deserves a better rating. After many visits for a hot dog at the establishment next door, we always wondered about Firebirds My dad walked in one day and obtained a menu and took it home for study. After determining that the menu selection was fantastic, we decided to dine here on Mother’s Day. What a HUGE disappointment. First strike, we received our appetizer of bacon deviled eggs fairly quickly but our cocktails did not make it to the table until after we had finished our appetizer. Strike two and three, when you claim to serve stellar hand-cut steaks, then you need to do it. Our mother ordered the ribeye, medium rare, and it was dry and tasteless. The “loaded” baked potato was in name only. It had the required toppings but a very minimal amount. A dry potato to go along with a dry steak. Our father ordered a 7oz filet (pink in the middle) and it came out two shades of brown and one shade of black. We had to request a new steak because it was inedible. They brought out a fresh steak and although it had some pink in the middle, the edges were very tough and the bacon that wrapped the filet was black and very bitter. I tried a bite of his steak and had to spit it out as it was not easy to chew and bitterly charred. Honestly, the worst steaks we have ever been served in a very, very long time. Given the price point, this is unacceptable. Now, credit where it is due and hence, the two stars instead of one…the bacon deviled eggs were good, the coleslaw was very good, and our server was nice, even though service was very slow overall. Any good restaurant knows that they should be on their A-game on Mother’s Day and unfortunately, Firebirds delivered a high priced experience in the loss column for us.

   Our Mother’s Day experience in their Grapevine location was horrible. I received an order of scrambled eggs that appeared to have been processed in a food blender and they were more gray than yellow. One person in our party did not receive his order for about 20 minutes after the rest of us. We even had to wait on the delivery of our coffee for about 10 minutes while they were brewing some more. Obviously they were not prepared or capable of handling a holiday crowd. We will not be going back.

   Our server, Chris, was amazing! She didn’t rush us but when we were ready to order our meals she took note of everyone’s meat temperatures. The food was perfectly cooked and nicely presented. She gave us a great experience!!

   As usual, a great experience. Came with two guest and ordered from the brunch menu, which had a good selection to choose from. Wait person gave some great suggestions. Carrot cake was excellent and large enough to share with the four of us.

   Food was excellent - try the lobster queso! Service was outstanding, too! It was our anniversary and the staff all signed a card for us. Nice touch!

    Have visited 3 times and each time the service was slow but the food made up for the wait. They seem to be understaffed. I would still recommend.
