I keep wanting to love this restaurant. Their appetizers are delicious, but this is the second time their mains have been underwhelming. Good flavors, but the pasta was undercooked. It was tough to eat..
Welcome addition to neighborhood
Definitely will return
Good wine selection, lovely menu, nice ambiance. 100% will go again.
Fabulous food and even better service. Abdullah was perhaps the best server we’ve had in Vancouver! Absolutely made our experience.
The restaurant phoned an hour or so before our reservation to explain the pizza oven was out of service. There was only one pizza on the menu we had looked at on line that appealed to me. The main menu lacked any thing that appealed to me. I am 84 and prefer traditional soul food. Stuff piled up on a plate with unknown substances squirted on and all forms of strange greens do not appeal to me or my friends.
I went along with going to this restaurant because Trafalgers was a favorite of my wife & her lunch friends. The only thing on the menu I was prepared to try was the beef shank what ever with smashed potatoes & mushrooms. The funny beef patties were so dry, I was only able to eat two and left half the smashed potato a decent helping of gravy might have helped. The potatoes were lumpy - I guess I imagined nice 'mashed potatoes'. The wine was very good - only had one 6 oz glass as I was the duty driver. We were guests of a friend from London so I don't know how much the bill was.
Great value for the money and service. Food was a little bit on the salty side. Good cocktail selections. I will return again to try the pizza next time.
Food was tasty, noise level from music was too high.
The food choices and quality get better each time i'm there. Very pleased that they have a good selection of craft beers (draft and bottled).
Hi Ran, this made our day! We work really hard to get better every day and your support is helping us to get where we want to be! It's our pleasure to serve such a great neighborhood. Check our happy our 3-5 & 8:30-CLOSE when all the beers are $5 Cheers! Jakub, Manager
My first time here and really enjoyed the whole experience. Great food and wonderful service.
Marek thank you for your review! It means a lot to us! Looking forward to seeing you again!
Incredibly odd for such a classy restaurant to change up their menu with the pasta and pizza they're known for to go with eggs benedicts just for mother's day. It'd be forgiveable if they were good, but they weren't.
I overheard another table say "what the hell is the matter with them" in reference to their change of menu.
The servers were all rude and short with their service with each table. It wasn't their fault, they seemed understaffed on one of the busiest brunch days ever.
With an experience like this it's easy to say I'll recommend against going here for friends.
Hi Michael, I understand your disappointment and I'm sorry for your experience. As you said Mother's day is very busy day and we decided to limit our menu to make sure our small kitchen will be able to handle the volume. Everyone who made reservation was informed about the menu change and I'm sorry if this information didn't reach you. For anyone who voiced concern about the menu our chef was ready to prepare one . Hope you'll give us another chance in the future.
The meal was great. Waitress was knowledgable with our food selection and recommended the appropriate wine. All very nice for a birthday celebration. Highly recommended
Thank you for your Review Thomas!
I think this place is probably better for brunch, or light food ( pizza and pasta ). The food is mediocre for the price... Overall experience is fair.
Recommend to all. Great food, service and ambience.
Friendly service , accommodating our dietary restrictions. Much appreciated. Fourth time back- never disappointed! A neighbourhood gem.
It's a lovely restaurant - very cosy and romantic - so I was disappointed that the food was so bad.
We shared the meatballs to start. They were average, not terrible but not particularly special or memorable. I had the carbonara for my main course. It was so disappointing - congealed, stodgy, and far too cheesy. An Italian inspired restaurant should be able to ace the basics!
My husband had the bolognese which was the best part of the meal. It was like a deconstructed lasagna with a lovely creamy bolognese sauce and thick pasta.
We shared a bottle of the Bandolino which was okay but Not worth $55.
We're new to the neighbourhood and I was hoping this would be our new go-to restaurant. I probably won't return as it was very overpriced for the quality of the food.
Wonderful as always. Had a very pleasant date night and all was outstanding from service to food. Great improvement on noise level with some ceiling accessories addition.
Great food, server was perfect giving us recommendations when we needed them, but otherwise gave us space to enjoy our evening out. Great food, cool space, definitely will be back soon!
Exciting food choices, great service —-kind servers.
Ingredients are very fresh. The beet salad is very good. But the both pizza and pasta did not have much flavour. Also the pizza is a bit dry.
Food and service were lovely! Super cute atmosphere. A little tight in space but overall good experience
A neighbourhood gem. The pasta is outstanding. Great service and a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
We will definitely try Foote Famiglia again.
Pleasant environment, nice people, delicious food.
Good food, good value and a very pleasant location. It's within walking distance of our home and we certainly plan to return.
Please add penne arrabiata to the menu.
The decor is too "cold"
Wonderful meal & comfortable seating. Staff were completely accommodating for our change of plans and our need for a faster meal (so we could catch a show). Look forward to a repeat experience. Music was a bit loud, so next time will ask for a quieter, corner, table. Recommended and an A++ experience.
Hope you enjoyed it!
We dined here when the restaurant first opened and the food was great. This last experience was very different - the food was meh and the service indifferent. Never even offered coffee at the end of the meal. Just presented with the bill.
Hi Linda, thank you for bringing it to my attention. We still have several of the opening menu dishes on our current menu so I'm wondering if you could share little more details about your experience so we can work together with our chef on improvements? Will be talking to our front of the house staff about our experience on our next monthly staff meeting! What you are saying is definitely not OK. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Great food great service
A nice new dining option in a neighbourhood that desperately needs it. Sunday brunch/lunch was great. Plenty of egg and non-egg options, with a few non-traditional but welcome touches, e.g. Mushroom eggs benedict, served on toasted foccacia. Ambience is modern but didn't feel stark.
We had a truly delicious dinner at Fiore Famiglia.
The service was also very good. My husband is very hard-of-hearing and couldn’t hear much at all, but enjoyed his dinner nonetheless. My only beef was that the chairs were very uncomfortable and we were quite cold sitting by the window. We shall be dining there again.
Our disappoint began with the news that the restaurant would be hosting a private party that evening and we would have to be out by 7:30pm, leaving us with a tight 90 minutes to enjoy our food. That information ought to have been conveyed to us when we made the reservation. That did not Happen. The gnocchi with which we had become happily acquainted during earlier visits did not measure up; dry with non of the lightness we had come to expect. The beef roulade was not a roulade but rather a round puck of shredded meat. previous versions were quite different. The endive salad was its usual great self as were the raviolis. On balance instead of a terrific bordering of wonderful experience, we came away with a serious let down. Bye the bye that was the conclusion from all four of us. Really disappointing!
Nice evening out!
Bright inviting modern new restaurant , great food with chef styling
Would highly recommend and def go back
Lovely restaurant, one of my new go to favourites. Located conveniently in Kits on 16th and Trafalgar. Food is always good, service is top notch. The restaurant layout is open and spacious.
A must try.
Food was uneventful and over-priced for a new Italian bistro. The pasta carbonara and chicken were “OK”but I cook better Italian at home according to my wife and I am not Italian. The meat & cheese appetizer plate was also very uneventful but a good portion was provided for 2 people to share. The wine and overall service was good.
There is better Italian food to be had within a kilometre of this place which has a great location and previous history.
My wife and I had a great new years eve experience. The Pappardelle was amazing and is highly recommended.
Very, very tasty with excellent and attentive service (without being overbearing). Was not sure about the place when I booked it, but I now know that we are going back. Not too loud like so many restaurants, could actually carry on a conversation, yet still good ambience and we liked the music!
The food was tasteless - no flavour as promised when reading the descriptions in the menu.
Chicken Cacciatore was very salty. Barely edible. Carbonara had way too much black pepper. Couldn’t finish both dishes. We normally enjoy the food here. Hope it’s a one off.
