Located in The Axis Hotel, The Fifth Avenue Syndicate is a French-inspired bistro that honors the cocktail culture of the 1920’s – featuring classic nostalgic mixology and inventive chef cuisine. The Bistro & Bar is named after the group of businessmen known as “the Syndicate” who funded and planned the original Fifth Avenue Building project. As the focal part of the lobby, The Fifth Avenue Syndicate is a large part of portraying the 1920’s experience for guests of The Axis Hotel. The history, mood, design and menu create an iconic experience for both hotel guests and local patrons.

We’ve been here several times for a cocktail & for dinner we’ve never been disappointed. The food, cocktails & ambience all very consistent.

Real gem in the middle of downtown Moline. We enjoyed our food, and our cocktails. The bartender knows his/her stuff! I asked for the slightly obscure “Sidecar,” and it was correctly made. The onion dip appetizer is fantastic. I would highly recommend Fifth Avenue Syndicate.

Service from our waiter was excellent! However; our food took over an hour to come out and it was room temperature when it did come out.

The entrees were foodie excellent! The steak frites were medallions of fillet mignon. The medallions were consistent and to the desired medium rare temp! I was amazed to watch the bartender mix drinks and wait the tables, not missing a beat in this covid world. The Syndicate is situated in a boutique hotel, I wish we had stayed at. A dining experience so unexpected in Rock Island!
