We waited over 30 minutes for a table we had reserved. We were then told the kitchen was not serving as they had more orders that they could handle. We had to leave after 45 minutes with an empty stomach.

The food was tasty. The table tried the Brisket sandwich, hot chicken tenders and a quarter chicken. Everything was very good. The french fries which accompanied a couple of those were just ok. The slaw is awesome. The banana pudding would have been better with a few slices of that fruit in the pudding.

After reading Yelp reviews, I was braced for poor service. When our party arrived, we were seated immediately, though we were taken to a high top table and we specifically requested a low top in the reservation - it was an option presented when making the reservation. Thankfully there was a low top table, though it was the first table inside the front door that could have seated 16 people for the three of us. Fortunately it was not a bitter cold night and the open/close of the door was not an issue. The table next to us was the same size and at capacity, thus the noise level. I asked about a Manhattan that is listed on the menu currently on the restaurant's website. I was told that they don't have the ingredients to make a Manhattan and they just changed their drink menu. Protip...If a bar does not have bourbon, bitters and vermouth all of the time, it is not a real bar or it does not employ a trained bar tender. Since the concept of a Manhattan was foreign to our server, to be safe, I ordered a beer that couldn't be screwed up. We also noticed that "Messy Chips" listed on the menu online have been substituted with fries. They were ok but the sandwich entrees also come with fries as a side - our meals were a little heavy on the fries. It felt like the menu didn't have enough range and variety especially because we were expecting some items listed on the menu published on the website. I chose the Hot Chicken Sandwhich/Knoxville Mild because it came with slaw, pickle and pimento cheese. I think my sandwhich had 1 pickle chip, 3 shreds of slaw and a scant schmeer of pimento cheese. The bun was way too bready. Someone else got the tenders which were extra large and a good value. If I return, I would just get tenders since the ecoutrement advertised with the sandwhich was so sparse and barely noticeable. Cincinnati seems to have a lot of chicken restaurants and FieryHen was ok but nothing remarkable.

This was our first time at Fiery Hen and we will be back! Quickly seated and attended to. We both ordered the 3 chicken tenders and they were HUGE - along with the “shareable” sides of Mac n cheese and green beans. Great choice of sauces!! So happy to have leftovers to take home for another meal!! The food arrived quickly and was delicious.

Walked in and no hostess seating people. Waited 10 minutes unattended with maybe 10 others. Then we all started to leave

Food was good, nice atmosphere. Service was lacking, had to ask for napkins and silverware after we had our food for more than 5 minutes. Waited for server to come by to ask for refills.

I had never been to the restaurant before. The atmosphere is very cool and a unique spot. We got served in a decent amount of time with drinks and then ordered. Our sides came out first which were excellent (green beans and mac and cheese) but the main dishes were cold. It then took another 20 minutes to get our food and the brisket was still too cold for my liking. People came and left as we waiting for our food. I was disappointed after my first visit and would not be able to recommend based on this.

My mother is from Tennessee so I've had my fair share of southern comfort food. I wasn't blown away by the Fiery Hen by any means but I would go back whenever I had a craving for some hot chicken. I got the chicken tenders and others in my party got ribs, tenders of another flavor, a brisket sandwich, and a chicken sandwich. We also got a side of mac and cheese, green beans, and plenty of fries to go around. It was all good. The ambiance was a little quiet and when they did play music it seemed like they kept skipping songs. May have been a technical issue. Service was spotty and slower than one would expect but we didn't mind at all. It was nice to relax and spread out the meal a bit. Overall, I'd recommend if you like Nashville Hot Chicken. If you just want solid comfort food with regular fried chicken there are better options elsewhere.

Really great spot! The chicken was absolutely amazing, but it took a really long time to get our food. All said we were there over an hour. We were starting to get impatient, but the quarter chicken made up for it. The sides are ok, but nothing extraordinary. All in all we are happy with the soot and would go back.
